  1. My attempt to pose the avatar in this file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/tfawh0cl2nue27s/Neutral_Stand_Starting_File_Frozen.blend/file is thwarted by most of the bones being unmovable, and unrotatable due something I did, and I do not know what. An example is AnkleLeft, and AnkleRight. Maybe because they are driven by ikHeelLeft, and ikHeelRight. But I cannot rotate thes on any axis. When I raise ikHeelLeft, and ikHeelRight on the z axis, the knees bend the wrong way. I cannot move ikElbowTargetLeft, nor ikElbowTargetRight. Right after I created this file with a shape file import into Blender, and using an Avastar avatar. I was able to do all of the above. What has gone wrong with this file? Creation: Blender 3.3.1 Avastar: 3.1.0
  2. How do you get unstuck from squatting position?
  3. I am trying to upload an animation/pose that I have created in QAvimator. The purpose is to hold the arm in a certain position no matter what, overriding everything, even the AO. (I use the built-in AO in Firestorm). The problem is even when I upload it as priority 6, the AO walk will break the pose and the arm will swing according to the walking animation. I have other poses that do this (hold the pose over the AO walks), and they have the time set to 0, whereas the ones I upload are 0.07 seconds, which I think is the minimum for an animation (2 frames). However, if this is indeed the solution, I don't seem to be able to do it in QAvimator. If I try to reduce the animation to 1 frame, I cannot move anything on the model. Does someone know the answer to this?

  6. Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out how to use a body pose, while also using a smile pose which I had made in Black Dragon within it's posing settings. When I turn on the smile pose, it will also pose the whole body, which I do not want since I already have a pose in my inventory for that. Is there any way to only pose the face? How do I solve this?   7. first time creating a pose i followed some tutorials from youtube i did everything i believe correctly with the keyframes and ease-in did locrot and so on.. everything seems fine and works in blender and then when i export from the render tab (still in pose mode and everything is selected) nothing shows in second life viewer it even says the file size is 3kb bc its empty and nothin was exported when i check and upload the animation in the viewer. im using avastar and blender 2.83.. and cant figure out why the export is empty

  9. Good afternoon, I'm in need of some help. I did a pose in Qavimator to hold a hand mirror, in Firestorm you can upload this with priority 4, i read and saw in tutorials that poses could be priority 5 or 6 if you upload them in SL viewer which i see this is not possible either, it goes to priority 4 max also. I need this pose to override others so the arm/hand stays even if i change poses. Can someone point me to some guidance on how to do this? Thanks a lot!

  11. Hello there, I have one problem which I didn't find solution so far. I created my pose in blender and tried to upload to firestorm but the pose is not fitting, so i have to do it again ( and again pay 10L for it). In one video i saw that there is some extended uploading menu but I searched on internet and videos and didn't find anything what would help me because when I want to upload pose I only have ''Name'' and ''Description'' no additional stuff there. Could any of you help me? I think it will be in settup of firestorm but i clicked everything i could think of and nothing worked. The picture is what i would like to have as menu while uploading.
  12. Any easy way to backup downloaded bed animation poses to a positions note card, for the item content after edit? I find it really hard to transfer all those poses without being "hand written", to save at a positions note card. Knowing certain keys from the keyboard might help.
  13. Hey guys, so for some reason when i create poses for SL in blender, and i then upload them to SL, i can't use my genus head's facial HUD with it? The facial animations just won't play, neither will the static expressions. I especially don't incorporate fixed expressions into my poses so that people have the freedom to use their own when i upload them, but this problem is starting to really tick me off. I have the genus classic head, and a couple of others i'm not using atm because of the DMCA. I also have a lelutka head and i haven't tried with that one, so i can't confirm yet if this problem happens with that head too. I'd also like to mention that i've played around with avastar's priority settings when exporting the .anim file for the pose, setting it both to 3 and 4, but the problem persists. In fact, when i set the priority to 3, sometimes my avatar won't even get into the pose at all, even if i turn off her AO... Anyway, any help would be much appreciated! thanks a bunch ❤️
  14. Question for animation specialists. I wanted to use internal static animation/pose avatar_surf.bvh from here http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Internal_Animations but due to the use of the AVsitter I need to upload it to SL. But an error appears when uploading "Unknown joint neckDummy". In the bvh hierarchy file, I see two joints with names JOINT neckDummy and JOINT figureHair that probably cause the error. I tried to remove them but the animation is distorted. Any ideas on how to fix this? I would like to use this particular animation/pose. I post bvh here in the hope it helps.   15. Hi. This might be a dumb question, but I'm wondering if there's a way with AVsitter to have two animations running on one pose or sync. For example, if I'm running a sitting pose...but I'd like to add a different arm pose (JUST the arm) to the existing sitting animation. I'm guessing clearly there must be given you can run bento facial expressions and hand poses with them, but I'm just missing it and can't seem to find out HOW. Appreciate any help or advice.   16. A couple weeks ago I wrote about Dancing in Second Life, and I wanted to elaborate on something I had mentioned: animation overrides. This is a scripted attachment that changes the manner in which your avatar’s body moves. Like most things in SL, they are created by Residents and the marketplace has a multitude of styles if you’d like to add a little oomph to the way you walk, jump, stand, etc. (Photo by Catloafs) You can get a set of animations or even a single gesture if you’re looking for something very specific. There are AOs made for females, males, and some are unisex. Some basic AO sets come with dances as well, which you can try out using the HUD. Swim like a mermaid, strut without a care in the world, or bellydance on a colorful Oriental rug. I even saw an AO that replicated the final dance scene in Dirty Dancing, so there is certainly no shortage of options. The animations category of the Destination Guide has many great shops in which you can demo different styles before purchasing. It’s important to note that certain situations, like pose balls or sitting on furniture, will require you to turn off your AO to function properly. This script will make that automatic, if you prefer. Since most Bento heads come with a selection of facial expressions, you can decide if you want an AO for the entire body or from the neck down. If you don’t know where to start, a tutorial should make the variety of animations a little more approachable. Our bodies are such a huge part of how we express ourselves in RL, so why not extend that element to your presence inworld?   17. I was looking for an AO or non static pose to complement my voice talk so that I don't look like a robot. I don't know if it exists, but I wanted to work even if I'm seated, moving hands and arms naturally like when you talk. It could be an entire AO or just a pose, that work with my base AO (I'm looking on doing an AO with Firestorm), and maybe, some movement on my face (like arching of my eyebrows) I'm using mesh body + default head and mesh head (AK and Fiore Alura. I have Genus but they have ongoing defects on their animations) I'm not an expert on this 😅 Thank you!
  18. Hi I found a really great full perm freebie animation/pose HUD script on the mp by Vlad Blackburn. Since most pose names are longer than 12 characters, I'm trying to make it so that the buttons can be numbers and the name of the poses appear as a list above the buttons.   21. Hello! I am trying to rig a non T-pose character. Its in an "I"-pose actually, arms are down, legs together. So I rig it, everything is fine, but how do I get it back to T-pose before I upload it? Alt+R dont work. And another thing. It seems bones are somehow locked, they dont move 360 degrees, its fine but still curious how to disable it. Any help please?
  22. Let's say I have a pose that raises right hand forward with some bento hand gesture... Is there a quick way to mirror a pose, including bento poses? For non-bento poses I have tried QAvimator and BvHacker tools but didn't find any option for quick mirroring. As for bento poses, I guess any full body pose mirroring must be done with Blender+Avastar2 combo but I could not find any info on how to quickly mirror a pose besides selecting each relevant bone at a time from one side, copying its pose and pasting the mirror copy to the other side.

  24. OK, so I've been looking for this forEVER and I refuse to believe it doesn't exist. I need an animation that ONLY effects my right arm, head, and neck that has me looking down at my phone. there are plenty of 'Looking at phone" animations on the MP, but all the ones I've tried have the rest of me standing ramrod straight or doing a lean or something. I want to be able to walk around, sit, stand, whatever, all while constantly staring at my phone. Please someone tell me where I can find this.
  25. Hello! Sometimes I have to do poses and I use Animare for this. and there is a problem with the width of the shoulders. if I do a pose on a male avatar, then on a female avatar, the arms are too narrow. and vice versa. poses are mostly unisex and that's the problem. Is there an average shoulder width or does it all depend on the skeleton?
