  1. In addition to Rolig's answer, this is from the Virwox website: "Good News : Linden Lab has approached us with a potential solution that would allow us to serve our customers within the bounds of the updated Second Life Terms of Service. We are in discussions with them and look forward to being able to share more information very soon."
  2. Your blog's font is so dang hard to read @.@
  3. Unfortunately, since they're no transfer, they're stuck with you. However, if you have friends who have land, you could offer to rez them there for them to use? Can't think of anything else.
  4. Just woke up and tried to log in with this Avatar and get the "Unable to Connect to Simulator error". I can log in with my alt just fine. I've manually cleared my cache. I've hidden group tags in preferences. I couldn't find anything else to do using my google-fu, perhaps anyone else has an idea? I have tried logging into 10 different regions, all of which my alt could log into without a problem! My inventory is large 40k items. However it has never been a problem before. And there's nothing I can do about it without logging in huh? I also did a clean re-install of Firestorm and deleted any and all other viewer and so on. I am truly at my wits end. Is this something Live Chat can help with? Or do I need to file a ticket? This is such bad timing, a hunt starts today, and I received an IM telling me I need to change the next stores LM in the hunt object as that store has moved and I can't >.< Edit 230482: I just rebooted my comp, and I managed to log in. I wonder what that was about o.o Phew, I was already feeling the withdrawls! I'll definitely go ahead and downgrade my inventory. I did before but god knows it fills up fast as a creator, avid shopper and avid hunter @.@
  5. Not even a year old? And again he posts blatantly false facts. 11/30/2011 (1 year 5 months; 531 days) Not to mention that this isn't my only account, but judging someone's experience by a DATE is obviously the way to go and the mature and educated thing to do! Heed your advise and just quit posting, you're making us europeans look like horrible liars who'll say anything to get our way and to make the evil Linden Labs Business look bad.

  7. What to do if your account is compromised Your account may have been compromised if: You can't access your account. You suddenly notice a reduced available balance on the payment source you have on file. If this happens, contact us immediately! Here's what to do: Go to the Second LIfe Help page and log in if you can. If you can't access your account, use the Forgot your login information? link on the right to recover your username and reset your password. Then log in. On the Second LIfe Help page page, click the Contact Support link on the right. On the next page, click Submit a a Support Case form. Under What type of problem are you having?, select Account Issue. 8. It's tuesday, so there's the rolling restarts. The message means that the sim you're trying to log in to is down. Try to log in at a quiet region such as Smith, or go for random regions like Loki, Mystical or wherever, one of them is bound to be online at this moment
  9. As far as I know, the first rule of debating is to debate with actual facts, not blatant lies, so I suggest you follow your own advice. Werd erwachsen du Witzfigur, alle lachen hier schon ueber dich. Na wenigstens bekommst du's nicht mit wie man merkt.
  10. Good Info Sean. And to clarify, to actually buy and own a homestead, you need to already own a full prim sim as per LL. So if you'd like to start with a homestead, the only way to go is to rent one. I've had very good experience with Blue Islands when I had my own homestead. The co-owner is still a friend of mine and she's incredibly helpful. They've also been around for long, costumer service is great. I trust them, for what it's worth to you. I agree that starting with a homestead is the way to go here, the only difference to actually owning a full regions are: * Full Regions have 15.000 available Prims // Homesteads have 3.750 available Prims * Full Regions can support up to 100 avatars at once // Homesteads can support only up to 20 avatars at once. * You are renting the homstead instead of owning it. Most rentals will grant you estate manager rights however to enable you to change ground textures, restart your homestead etc. Homesteads have the same size as full prim sim. The only downside I can think of is that it only supports up to 20 avatars at once. So if your place becomes popular, a lot of people might find themselves locked out because the sim is full. Friendly warning, if you decide to open up a club, do NOT go for a homestead!!! Homesteads are great for roleplaying sims, or hangouts, but they're simply NOT made nor meant to be for clubs!

Apperently al they wanna do is **bleep** around instead of finding a solution. Im done here you gotta love sl What a world Don't spread around blatantly false info that's beyond misleading just to further your point and you shall be treated with respect. Until then, fair winds.
  12. Lol, he/she certainly doesn't need to send an NC to the seller, considering the seller is Linden Labs. This post is a duplicate from here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Linden-Dollars-L/hello/qaq-p/2006437 Follow Lindal's advice and contact the toll-free Billing Support hotline.
  13. Azazael Heron wrote: So again, the **bleep** are you talking about? Troll. Rude,,,pff And read all i wrote here,,,not only that 0,30... But thats whats wrong with someone who shouts troll You only take out 1 piece of info you read,. Du mich Troll ,,ich dich Depp FG Oh, and you can read minds now? I read the whole thread just fine, your post however was too much bull**bleep** information to NOT reply directly to it. Guys, please don't listen to this person, Lindex was and still is cheaper than any 3rd party sites to purchase Lindens with. We're only charged $0.30 extra per buy. The VAT is higher (19%) when paying for Premium, and land holdings, but to purchase Linden it's only that few cent fee.
  14. First off, you will have to decide what your sim will be about. A club? A hangout? A roleplay sim? Then start planning. Do you want to offer merchant stalls to offset some of your cost? Think about ways you can gain back some of the money you put in. Though don't expect that to be a large amount, especially when your sim will be a club sim. I haven't seen a club in SL thus far that can cover all their expenses nevermind make a profit. Then comes the really hard part. Finding dedicated folks to help you build your sim, draw in people, manage it and so on and so forth. It's a lot of work to begin with and will only become more work once your sim takes off and becomes popular. Depending on the nature of your sim you should pay them a wage, unless they're volunteers. Once you've made up your mind on what you want, you could post in the wanted section to search for people who'd make your project become true. I'd love to hear your ideas, or even help you decide and some such, and perhaps, if you're deciding on something that tickles my interests I'd volunteer to help you out in any way possible. Either way, good luck with your endavour, and I'm excited for you^^
  15. Lol Lycan.
  16. Azazael Heron wrote: In the end LL hurts only themselfs. Not getting L means not buying or paying tier etc,,wich means less income for LL Nice going.LL And buying L only from LL is NO option. Is costing me(Europe) more then i used to. Again,,nice going LL You gotta love sl.. Enjoy the life folks! Excuse my bluntness, but the **bleep** are you talking about? I've been buying Linden through the Lindex for the past 2 years. I'm european, german to be exact. The prices has only mildly fluctuated and the VAT charge is €0.30 constant. Lately prices have barely changed. I've compared prices of 3rd party sellers with the Lindex and the difference was so negligible most of the times 3rd party sellers would have cost MORE that the Lindex has always been the best choice for us europeans who have paypal. So again, the **bleep** are you talking about? Troll.
  17. I believe your friend would be quite happy with Skins from Glam Affair. They're beautifully made, no over the top make-up and quite realistic. It's the only skin store I am a repeat costumer of because I am so picky with skins http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Beauty%20Avatar%20couture/180/102/24
  18. SugarPutty Magic wrote: 99% of facelight users dont understand how bad they make the world look for others. If you have a high end pc and can run shadows Facelights show up like a mini sun making everyone around the wear'er washed out. People that tend to wash everyone out around them with their face lights, soon find themselves derenderd to a large portion of SL never to be seen again. So if your intent is to make it so others can see how beautiful you are and how you stand out from all the rest. You failed horribly. becouse you just got derended. Exactly this! It's so rude and it happens so dang often that I am in a skin store and can't even preview the demo skins there because there's tons of people with nuclear intensity face light on that it washes the skin out so much at times I am completely white.
  19. It's definitely still the case as I received a response to my ticket yesterday (sunday)
  20. Valerie is right. Same happened to me yesterday and I contacted Live Chat. They fixed it fast
  21. One of my avatars is a gorgeous 6' guy, I used to use him quite often, and never was judged for his height. I am unsure where you're hanging out that those are the reactions you get, perhaps go elsewhere without such individuals? And please don't change. There's enough 8 feet tall guys with bulging muscles and a fake tan to make the Jersey Shore crew jealous. I don't find that attractive at all, but again, to each their own, and I'm happy to see guys stray from that, I really am!
  22. Second Life is exactly that, a Second Life, to be whatever you can't be in your first life. Only a small percentage create avatars to portray their RL looks. Second Life is whatever you make it, and it seems the majority prefers larger avatars. My avatar is 6 ft tall, I am 5'5 in real life. Sure, a lot of avatars are bigger, but to each their own. It doesn't bother me whether someone is taller or smaller and I don't feel left out or like an outcast because of it. Size doesn't matter after all

    Can't Age Verify!

My alt account will be six years coming next month. I never bothered with Age verification on it. Today however I wanted to do it. I do not have the option to age verify in my dash board, and a search has brought me the knowledge that they did away with it in July. Well, I changed my Firestorms settings to show me Adult Content when logged into my alt. However, it doesn't. I spoke to their support and it's not on their end. So my account isn't age verified, and I do not have any link to age verify. Is there some old link that still works that anyone can share please? Or am I doomed to file a support ticket that'll get revolved in like 5 month? Edit: I can acess adult material with my alt account on the marketplace. I just cannot access adult material in the viewers. Tried Firestorm, Singularity and the official Viewer 3. Filed the support ticket and my fingers are crossed that it'll get resolved fast. ---- Edit 2: When I change my viewer settings to show Adult, I get no errors at all. It simply won't show me adult search results and such. I just spoke to live chat, it's an account glitch and they're working on it. No idea what happened there.
  24. Have you tried to contact your land lord about the issue? The Sim shows up, however one cannot tp to it. Might be a SL issue, might be that the owner has set the sim's settings to private. If you have contacted your land lord, and not received a response, then as unfortunate it is, you're out of luck. This is declared as a resident to resident dispute, that LL will not get involved in as per TOS. There is nothing you can do but to bear the loss. In the future; rent with reputable landlords and never...never ever pay so far in advance. Pay week by week, or for 2 weeks, but not more, if this happens again you will at least not have lost so much. I'm sorry this happened to you, but no, your Lindens are lost unless you contact the land lord and they offer you a refund (which they're not obligated to).
  25. What exactly is it that you want to talk about? What it's like owning a sim? What theme to go for? And I recommend buying a sim from someone, and not directly Linden Labs. There's a forum section dedicated to buying and selling full regions. That will save you the thousand dollar set up fee.
