Hello there! Ever since I joined Second Life, and got my first parcel two weeks in, I have enjoyed decorating, as well as landscaping. I have landscaped everything from small 512sqm plots, to 8196 sqm parcels. Now I would love to make this a profession. I would like to either work for a private estate agency as a landscaper and/or for private residents as a landscaper/home decorator. I have a lot of houses, gazebo's, platforms, building kits (rivers, pathways and so on) as well as landscaping items for tropical sims, grassland sims, forest sims, fantasy sims, medieval sim's as well as winter sim's. I can work with items that are given to me (rezzed on the land for me to work it perfectly into the scenary, or I can rez my own objects. I am fully capable of terraforming and working with/on skyboxes. I can create gardens and winter skyboxes. Now my big question is, how much should I charge depending on the different parcel lots? Should I pinpoint the price on the size of the parcel landscaped/house furnished, or on the time I spent? Depending on how you answer, how much should I charge starting at 512sqm all the way up to an entire Sim? How much should I charge per hour? I neither want to undersell myself, nor do I want to set my prices far too high. How would I find people interested in this? I have never had a business on here before, and while I am already writing Estate Agencies, I am stumped about how to perhaps get hired by private residents. Also, as an example here is my 4096sqm parcel that I finished today. Pictures were taken in different windlights. Image quality has been reduced to downsize the kb size. Hi! I have a question pertaining to Holo scene rezzers. I have seen several scenes I love, however they're all by other creators, one uses a magic bubble, the other a magic couch, the next a transport flower and so on. I was wondering if those scenes would work with just one method of transportation? Or are they not compatible? The latter would be a shame :(

Hello, I am the co-founder of a group, as such I cannot make the actual founder leave the group. Problem is, I have two parcels deeded to said group and want to undeed them but I don't know how to do that? I was told to sell and re-buy the land but that has me very concerned that something might go wrong. Does it affect Tier Payments made for weeks in advance? Can anything go wrong? Any assistance here or in game would be greatly appreciated! EDIT: I do NOT have premium. I rent from a private estate rental place.

Hello, because of being all over the place for wonderful freebies from lucky chairs (whenever I go broke spending L on clothes) I cam across the ox DOS Hud that you are supposed to equip, click on and it should give you slurls to lucky chairs with your letter on them. However, I cannot get the dang thing to work, I attach it, click on it and nothing happens. I tried googling, tried the ox DOS group and some lucky chair groups, but didn't receive a single answer. Can anyone help me get this to work please? ETA: If anyone has a HUD that has something like this in it, please do post it, too I am not afraid to spend L on it as long as it works SL wide xD

Exact same problem here, figured I'd clear my cache due to not being able TP or change group tags and now I'm getting the message that something unexpected went wrong and I cannot connect. Tried firestorm and the SL viewer 3, both give me either that error or I'm stuck with 5% of the log in bar colored.

Hello! I am a pretty new builder, and I have ran into a problem. I have bought a few plant textures (grass, trees) but I cannot figure out how to turn the textures into an actual item. I tried dragging the textures onto a prim but that doesn't work well. Could anyone possibly take the time to explain this to me, please?

Since you're a roleplayer you should have no trouble emoting, as such I recommend you check out IMPAXX, it's a rather new strip club that has an event each day, a lot of costumers and a great team. We might purchase the Apothecary, too. I am wondering if more stores offer these scenes where you can actually craft things, and it's not just simple animations? The above comes with a HUD where you can raise your skill at smithing! I have looked all over the market place, but so far haven't found anything like it. If you know of a store please please please post it here, we have much room in our castle left for these type of things!

Do you by any chance wear a collar? If you do tell your owner to allow seeing other peoples names and to teleport. If your owner can't be reached and you really *must* take it off. you can click on your collar and reset it. Otherwise go to your preference and clear your cache, then restart the game.

Hello, I would love to make my own skyboxes and houses in the future for personal use, or to sell to others depending whether or not I think they would sell. Anyway, I have been googling, but so far haven't found anything useful other than how to make a sky platform which I already know. Any links, guides and tut's you have on the subject of house/skybox creation would be greatly appreciated! (Also, would it be possible to make a house entirely out of prims without using an external programm?)

I have two AO's by the same creator, I was wondering if it would be possible to combine them? Or at least the standing animations as I love them. Hello, it's me again! First I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for answering my previous questions! Thank you SO kindly it's amazing what a helpful community this is! Now, to my current question. After being here a little over a week, I'm hooked and would like to buy myself a small place to call home, preferably somewhere snowy. Preferably 2-3 rooms with 1 hidden room that people cannot simply access. Now I have googled and read FAQ's and quite frankly, I'm confused as all hell. So let me break my questions up: 1) If I were to upgrade to premium do I get to choose where I build my home and what I build? Is it pre-made in any way? 2) At this page: https://secondlife.com/my/account/landfees.php?lang=en-US at the bottom it says I can purchase additional land for $5 for 512m² (for example). Can I do this and bam have my place? If yes, same questions as in 1) apply. (Also, why is part of that site in french? I don't understand french =/) 3) What would be the most cost effective? I'm not looking to spend more than $10 per moth for rent, is my snowy dream place even possible? And if yes, should I look for a weekly rented parcel (how many prims? How much is a good price per week?) or just go premium and purchase additional m² if I go into a building frenzy? 4) How can I even have a secret room other's can't access? I have seen this in a few homes where people kindly showed me, how do I do this? Hello, I noticed I had several lag in game, the lag meter showing red for all three, server, world and client. I logged out of the client and wanted to log back in but it said: Login Failed. The system is logging you out right now. Your Account will not be available until 2011-12-10 9:51:50 Pacific Time. In the knowledge base I have found out this about it: Login failed; Your account is not accessible until (date/time) — this usually means that your Second Life account has been administratively blocked. Short-term blocks (less than an hour) may be the result of inappropriate behavior inworld. Longer blocks are typically the result of abuse. You will be unable to use Second Life until the indicated time; if that is more than an hour away, you will receive an email from the abuse team on the matter. Be sure to check your spam filters. Linden Lab is unable to remove administrative blocks for abuse. Does this ALWAYS apply? I barely chatted today, spent hours playing games, and for the past two hours tried my luck with the Psychotic Neko's Lucky Chairs talking to no one at all. I have not been behaving inappropiately at all and as a paying costumer who has already spent $50 in the first week of being here this concerns me GREATLY. I do not want to invest more money when the game randomly blocks me when I've not done anything wrong.

Hello! I have purchased a standing animation and a walking animation. However I have to turn them on and off individually which has gotten rather tedious really fast. When I stop walking I have to stop playing the animation inworld and turn the standing animation on. When I start walking without turning the standing animation off (and turning the walking one on) I slide over the floor. Is there a way to use both poses with the client recognising whether I am standing or walking and switching between them accordingly?

Hello, as of today I am having trouble navigating the second life website and marketplace. When I open a new page the layout seems broken, the background is clean white and the links are to the left running down the page. A normal refresh doesn't help, I have to do a hard refresh (strg+f5) to fix the problem for that single page. This happens on each new page I open and it's quite a hassle to having to hard refresh every single time I open a new page. It has worked just fine for the past four days up until today. I am using FireFox latest release.

I tried this twice, and got this error each time. Paying with my CC, all info is correct and I've never had any trouble using it for online purchases. Tried to reach the support, but apparently it's NOT 24 hours here in germany. I tried opening a help case but the options I am given under billing (2 options) have nothing to do with my problem. I also could not find a support mail adress ANYWHERE. I hate not knowing whether I will be charged or not! Edit: The generic copy and paste response below didn't answer my question. Will I be charged? Thanks for the mail adress though and like I said in my first post I *tried* calling them, but they're NOT there 24/7 like stated. Please don't copy and paste, I'm upset about this and this only makes it worse =/
