  1. If he is worth being on your friendlist he actually should respect for want for privacy. Speak to him about your feeling being followed by him and search for anything in your inventory that can cause the tracking.
  2. I don't care about teens, its their problem if they search for the wrong things. Its not that they might step all out of a sudden into an adult or very mature sim. They only get what they want and if naked avatars are what they want....its their problem and not the task of any other resident to tell them what is ok and what not. Other thing: Its nearly impossible to guess someones age in a virtual world.
  3. I have too many outfits to say which is my favorite, its more like having a favorite outfit in every category. A favorite casual dress, a favorite outfit for weddings and ballrooms....not to forget all the events that need a special kind of outfit.
  4. Do you know if they have dancers? Maybe only staff can dance there.
  5. I'm somekind of a monster :matte-motes-not-even: Selene Deshoulières Death of The Balkans An animal-like vampire who can barely speak - everything is actions with this one. It runs with the deer.
  6. Its all about taste. I'm happy with my skin for 100L and would never pay 2000L just to get the same skin with some different make up.
  7. Scriptcount is not a safe way to say how many resources your avatar needs. I have several avatars, all of them use a different count of scripts, but the range between their real need of mb is as big as the grandcanyon.
  8. I'm tried of guys who are several months old but look still nooby. That and those messed up shapes are the biggest problems. :matte-motes-not-even: Also I can't see anymore gangsta-guys and ravers.....those pants.....
  9. I think its not weird, cause everyone here is free to make their avatar look like they want. But its not suprising that avatars with disabilites are rare. Most people tend to create their avatar far different from their RL self. Some create their avatar like they always wanted to look like (thats why we have so many modellike avatars here! :matte-motes-big-grin:). Others just want a fantasy charakter or a charakter that is not even human at all.
  10. If I would run a club, I wouldn't give you a job...no matter how old or experianced you are :matte-motes-asleep: Guess you gave yourself an answer.
  11. Well.....can you describe a little more what is actually your problem? From the headline of your question I guess you upgraded your account from basic to premium, right? If thats the case, this link might help you: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Linden-Home-overview/ta-p/700103
  12. Many items are delivered in boxes, especially when they contain whole avatars or outfits with more than one item. Search for a place where you can place thing, like a sandbox for example. Then open your inventory and select one of the boxes and drag it out of your inventory to the ground. You will now see the box. Right click it and select the option to open it. You will get a window showing what is in the box. Copy it to your inventory. You will get a folder named after the item where you can find the clothes, hair or what ever you brought. Now you are able to use them :matte-motes-little-laugh:
  13. Most of us have a job in sl cause its fun and that should be the main reason do be in sl: To have fun. Its a fairytail that you can get easily rich within sl.
  14. IMs are good at very crowded places, especialy when everybody starts to use gestures and its hard o keep up with the textflow. Also on some topics IMs are better than open chat, I use it when I'm working to comunicate with other staff members about business topics, which are normaly not for everybodys eyes. I also prefer IM if someone just want to talk with me. I'm often hanging around and to several other things, it can happen that I don't watch local chat every minute. But an IM makes a little sound and someone can get my attention faster than just tipping in local chat. For normal conversations I prefer the local chat.
  15. Here is my checklist of what you can do: 1. Check your history at the marketplace: Maybe the item isn't delivered yet or the transaction failed. 2. Did you get a message to accept the deliviery? Search for keywords in your inventory. Most products come in boxes and appear in the objectfolder. 3. If that all doesn't work conact the person who sold the item. Send them a notecard with your transaction history from the marketplace and ask kindly if he or she could send you the product again.

A new skin is the best idea, but it doesn't need to be one that cost 1000L. Over a certain level of price, most people won't be able to guess if the skin was sold for 200 or 900. Also keep your eyes open for promotions, you may get a skin for far less than the original price.
  17. A RP sim is different from a "normal" sim. The reason for the existance of the sim can only be fullfilled if the atmosphere is right and everybody can concentrade on playing a charakter in....lets say a medival environment. It just kills the roleplay if someone jump in and try to be part of the play while wearing Star Wars outfit. A club can fullfill its reason for existance without being disturbed by someone on the dancefloor who is a little shorter than 2 meters
  18. Away from offical help, owners can ban people from their land and you always can mute them, if their spamming in chat. Also I'm not sure if the problems with griefers are that huge. I'm in SL for over a year now and only had two times an experiance with griefers. That was on a sandbox and long time ago. I have furry avatars and visit furrysims and sometimes adult rated sims.....I never saw a griefer there. :matte-motes-grin:
  19. I joined SL over a year ago and I heard that dancing required far less input from the dancers in the past years. Some months ago I was searching for a little job. Due to a lack of building or scripting skills I focused my search on the social jobs in SL. It wasn't easy, thats for sure! Escort was the first job I sorted out. Next was Dj, cause I don't have to stuff for it. Hostess was the next, cause nearly all clubs wanted people with experiance (but where the hell should I get some, if nobody is willed to hire beginners?). So I ended up with the search for a job as a dancer. Most clubs wanted to keep 20% of the tips and thats definitly to much for my taste, dancing isn't less work than hosting....sometimes even more work. The craziest thing I saw on my search was a club that wanted me to work at least 10 to 20 or better more hours a week...seriously, its my freetime...not rl work! Finally my search ended at a club I always enjoyed to go as a customer. I earn enough to buy some nice clothes every week, I have fun, nice people to work with and I keep 90% of my tips and get paid from the owner. Its rare to find such a club, but it was worth searching for it.
  20. We should form an army of small shaped avatars and raid those sims ruled by people with no brain :matte-motes-bored: (Children don't have a shape like a woman! Its not ageplay or whatever, if your not 2 meters high!) How about a sim where no avatars with dark skin are allowed? Its the same kind of discrimination. And to all who say small people should search for their own sims....isn't it wrong to build in SL even higher walls of discrimination and prejudice?
  21. Have you got a message inworld to accept the delivery? If yes, you may should use the searchbar for your inventory (the things from the marketplace are usually in the object folder). If not, send a message or notecard to the creator with the part of the transaction history and ask them friendly to send you the stuff you brought again.
  22. Don't worry Verena. I'm not a giant too and but I don't have problems with that. 1. Other avatars: I like to dance with one of my friends whos male avatar is far taler than me, but he is glad I'm smaller than he is (he isn't a big fan of those giant girls, who sometimes have the same size like him). A smaller size can make you look cute and more feminine. I'm also often a furry. A lot of my furry avatars are even smaller than my human avatar, but that doesn't matter, cause most furry avatars aren't giants. 2. Furniture can be a problem, but not a big one. In my house I only have furniture that fits my normal size quite well, it doesn't look like placing a doll on a chair for real children Only poseballs....I have to adjust a lot of them....my feet are always above the ground while dancing, but hey, I can live with it. Better having a nice little shape than a big one which is far away from being beautiful or sexy
  23. Everything is perfect.....BUT put those damn prim breats away and turn the physiclayer down :matte-motes-crying:
