Why do you really think its going backwards? I can't remember that there was ever a time, where technical thing working fine. I can't remember a time where there was no newbie asking "Oh why is everybody grey?", "Why I am a cloud?" and "I can't get into the game." . I also can't agree on the thing with the supercomputer, but people shouldn't think they still can get the maximum out of the game with a computer which they used back in 2005. If other actual games work fine for your computer, than SL won't be such a big problem. My computer is 3 years old and still everything works fine. Mesh itself is not a step back, its just not everybodies taste. I have to say I never was a big fan of voicechat, I always prefered typing or at least skype. But for most people it still seems to work fine enough to use it even when they are eating :matte-motes-dont-cry: Prices? It became better if you ask me. There are more freebies, MM boards and lucky chairs around with stuff that has a good quality. I tested it myself and it as suprisingly easy to made my new avatar get the newbie look away. It only requires me 22 L at all and a little searching. Even with my mainaccount, I haven't spend a single real euro for my stuff. I joined contests and started to work inworld. Sure, I can't afford the most expensive stuff that is around, but I own several furry avatars, many clothes and everything else I need. Last but not least the point of unfriendlyness. You can't blame Second Life for it, if people are not friendly to you. Its their problem nothing LL can change. But for myself, I didn't experiance that people are unfriendlier. Haven't seen a griefer for months and everyone I talked to seem to be pretty normal and friendly.

Can you tell or show what shoes you have and what kind of problems you have with them? It would make it easier to help you

I think there is nothing bad at lucky chairs and MM boards. It gives people the chance to get something from you to try out for free and if they like your style, they may come back later and buy something from you. Also I like the conversations I had with others while waiting for my letter to appear. We talked about the store, what item we are waiting for and other stuff. It was nice and something different from my normal shoppingtrips.

Linden Lab can't do anything to avoid child avatars getting teleported to A rated safe hubs, cause they have no way to identivy what avatar you are using. It would need a human to look at all avatars first and that is simply impossible. Anyway....Childavatars in A rated sims are not in general against the TOS, only the reason that most A rated sims contain sexual content and/ or the owner doesn't want a child avatar on their sim leads to the image their not allowed on A rated sims by the TOS. If you build a playground on a A rated sim, their wouldn't be any problem. Well, after all those children will leave the safe hub after some time, just like the naked guys and you without touching anything :matte-motes-grin: ....hopefully....:matte-motes-dont-cry:

If your issue isn't solved, try to contact the person who owns the shop. That always worked for me, when a vendor had issues giving me an item.

You CAN'T overwrite an accountname. Just to make it clear: You can't pick a name that is already taken. You can't take a lastname on a new account. And a viewer has nothing to do with your accountinformation, cause a viewer is only a client to acess the virtual world. Everything else is stored on LL servers somewhere. And what do you mean with you only have one avatar? Do you mean by that only one skin, one shape and so on? Or do you still want to say, that you only got one account? If thats the case, wheres the problem? Since you can't overwrite an account yourself and you are on your old account you....there should be everything in your inventory. If create a new account, then its not a mirracle why you look different now. Please tell us step by step in detail what you did after your idea to come back to SL. Otherwise we can't figure out what might be wrong, cause like I said, you can't overwrite something thats under LLs controll.

Make sure that the sim who want to go to is online. Sometimes a region gets restarted and is unacessable for a short time.

There is nothing wrong with the alpha layer. You need to know that there are many different types of alpha layers to hide different body parts. From where do you take the layer? Did it came with the shoes or did you use it from somewhere else?

I for one feel that the MP has serious limitations and not at any fault of LL, its just the nature of some products. Homes and furnishing as an example don't necessarily sell well in the MP as they need to be seen in world to truly capture their essence. Clothing sells well as do many devices but without the immerse experience that in world shopping offers, the MP becomes little more than a catalog. I love this "catalog". No people standing around and ruining my view, no endless waiting to see what they sell, a better search, no endless teleporting from shop to shop, a more effective search (how often do I end up on a store inworld that doesn't have what I need...) and a fast overview about the pricerange.

No, there is no other way, if you want only this land and not a similar one. He has paid for the land so it his land as long as he pays for it. But don't give up hope, a week is not a long time and there were holidays in most countrys all over the world, so he may had no time to logg in. Also keep in mind, that he might be in a different timezone that you are in. Best thing you can do is to write an notecard and send it to him, he will read it when he is back online. Also you should keep in mind, that the buildings on the land may not be on sell. Can be, that you only can get the land (if the owner want to sell it, so you better should mention it in your message to him).

What keeps me away from changing clothes at the dancefloor is mostly that it is not helpfull for the new stuff to rezz. Standing naked, grey or with a couple grey balls around my body is not so fun :matte-motes-impatient: Other thing is, some people really can't resist to coment on changing outfits if they think I caugth a single spot of skin (or fur) which was not covered fast enough.
