  1. He stoped talking with her at the moment she said shes 13 and for me the situation isn't awkward, thats why I asked him to explain what exactly is awkward. I don't think its awkward to have a little conversation with someone who is 13, if it happens just randomly. She didn't act unnormal in any way. Young teenagers tend to not think about what might happen to them when they tell their age to some stranger on the internet. And even if their is a FBI agent behind that avatar, you can't get in trouble just because of talking with someone absolutly harmless. And that part with behaving normally was about saying adults need their freedom because they need to talk that way. And I just thought thats a stupid argument when talking about just one conversation.
  2. Do you have made the age verification for your account?
  3. I'm pretty sure he can hold is super adult humor and temper for a couple of minutes to have a short conversation with her. Its more awkward if someone can't behave normal and need to make sexual comments and discuss adult-only topics all the time. Well, now he found it awkward and left the girl without a word. Does she leaves now? I don't think so. She may find someone else to talk to and maybe never tell anybody her age again. Edit: There is a huge difference between saying no to her friendoffer and thinking its awkward to talk with her.
  4. Yes please, explain what is awkward in simply talking to someone who is not an adult. Is it awkward for you to talk to some neighbours children or a teenager in the real world? As someone said before they are human beings. Nothing awkward in talking to other humans, I think. If you see something awkward in talking to someone who is not 18 in SL, then maybe you have an awkward view on what SL is (no its not a 3D sex place). You rather should have told her why its not a good idea to join SL when shes 13.
  5. This is the internet and most residents are adult....so what do you expect? Only by driving down a road in Zindra (adult continent) you can easily see many places which contain real photos. Did you really think no one will use anything from real life? A lot animations are made with real life models and you also can find other pictures of the real world (not just porn). But I don't understand why you are so upset because of it. If you don't want it, don't search for it, don't look at it. There is still a lot stuff that has nothing to do with porn or the real world. Just keep in mind here are real people behind the avatar and they do what all real people do and enjoy and porn is one thing of that. And seriously....everyone knows whats going on
  6. Again its NOT a game. Everything here is user created. Its a world and because people always change something you always will need to load the place you are going to. The software you are using is called a viewer. Yes and thats all what it is. It connects you to the server from Linden Lab and make the world visible and your avatar controllable. To help you and give you advise, we will need to know more about your system and your internetconection. (Even if you could contact LindenLab about that issue, they would need those informations too).
  7. "Skin"? I guess to your outfit belong some shoes and you are not wearing the alpha layer for them.
  8. 1. This is not a game. 2. This Forum is only visited by other users, Linden Lab doesn't answer here. 3. It would help if you could provide some more informations about your computer and your internetconection. I'm pretty sure its not a problem of the program itself.
  9. I did work at a club as a hostess and dancer, but some things changed and so I'm again more the customer and traveler I once was. I love to discover beautiful places and spend most of my time at dance clubs and at the house a friend gave to me. I tried building a while back, but oh good god....my houses were awful :catsurprised: But yesterday night I finally found something I'm not that bad at: Making tattoos and t-shirts! Maybe I open my own marketplace store soon. (Hope that will help me paying for shopping).
  10. A good human skin.....well... *strokes her fur* Not an easy question. For me a good skin should have a texture that doesn't look like paint. It should look realistic, but clearly like a photo painted on a skintemplate. The face is one of the most important parts it shouldn't make you look retarded or dumb :catvery-happy:
  11. When will people stop calling second life a game? :catindifferent: Well, there are different jobs around you can do without being a creator. Most of them are service/social jobs. You will not get as much money as a good creator can earn and most of them are scheduled jobs. I would highly suggest you to find something you have fun doing it, cause other way you will get frustrated after a while. If money is your only motivation, you should transfer some real money into lindens, thats easier and faster.

    avatar kaufen

Nein, so weit ich weiß darf mit Accounts kein Handel getrieben werden.
  13. There is no free furry leopard avatar around as far as I know. And the chances that a total stranger will buy you one are close to zero. Nobody will spend 500 to 1000L on someone who is not actually a really good friend.
  14. I agree. A bad shape can ruin everything, no matter how good the skin looks or how expensive the clothes are.
  15. No thats not the case.....I can wait for a specific place to rez. Like if I am going to join a party, go to a beach, play somewhere or just making a tour to different beautiful and impressiv places and so on. I'm paitent with those places. They live due to their look and normaly need a lot of prims to function. But shopping is different. When I go shopping, I usualy start with an idea in my head and even more often I have a need for something, because of a party I want to fit in or because I'm creating a new avatar and need some parts to complete a certain look. I open the search type in some words and hope I get some results. Then I teleport to the different stores. And now, here starts the problem. - Some stores a extremly huge. I run around, up and down....just to finally realize they don't have what I'm looking for. - Inworld stores seem to be just for the rich. NO I will not pay 500L for a single outfit! - Lies. Yes, a lot of search results are absolutly misleading. Especially if you are looking for freebies, promotion items, lucky chairs/MM boards or just type in a generel word like "Hair". How often did I end up in a shop that doesn't have those things, but has it written in the description. (Again I usually end up in some expensive store....) I don't say inworld shopping is bad as a whole thing, but it must get more comfortable for the customer. One side would be LL job, by making the search better for specific shopsresults. The other side is in the hands of the shopowners. No walls big as a mountain...I don't want to fly just to see what you sell. Don't bury your store under decoration that needs hours to rezz and don't advertise with things you don't have. Also I see the marketplace as a great tool for newcomers, people who just started building and creating something and now want to test if they can sell it. It may provide their step into inworld business which has a much higher risk.
  16. Marketplace is great. I know it keeps people away from running around inworld, but lets face it: Shopping inworld is just pain for the customer. Yesterday I traveled around some shops. At some of them it took ages until I could continue, because they were grey and blurry for ages. And then, when you are in some shop and its loaded....you discover they have moonprices and absolutly nothing you want or can afford. So you leave and continue to search.... Until the search isn't getting easier and prices drop, nothing can beat the marketplace where I also got reviews from other customers.
  17. I would say any laptop or pc that is made for playing games can run second life on a decent graphic level without crashing.
  18. I just read notecards if I have the feeling they could tell me something interesting for important. I read a notecard when the product I'm buying is new to me (I remember reading one when I got my first jacuzzi, to see where I need to click for which option). But I don't need a notecard for clothes and hair. Also I hate it, when there is a picture opening itself when I open a box, thats nearly as useless as those sweet thank you notecards which both will up my inventory after a while.
Was für Fehlermeldungen erhälst du?
  20. Second Life is actually not a game. You don't have a menu where you create an avatar like in a game. There is nearly nothing provided by Linden Lab, most stuff is made by people just like you. But for entering the world everyone needs at least an avatar and so, Linden Lab provides some premade avatars. To get an avatar you want you have to explore the world or the online marketplace to buy everything (or with some knowledge and pratice make it yourself).
  21. What exactly let you think that its "free"? There is a price set for the item as you can see in the marketplace and your order history. You get asked more than one time if you really want to buy the things you selected and you even have to select a way how to pay the items. You will not get your Lindens back, cause its not the fault of the merchant that you thought its free. Promotion doesn't mean something is free, normaly its just on a lower price than usual in the hope the customers will be satisfied with the product and come back to buy the more expansive stuff. If you got a delivery problem (no item in your inventory) you can contact the person who sold it and ask her/him kindly if they can resent the item. Either way, you can't get your money back. Don't cry over it and be happy with the decent looking clothes you got
  22. I love that blogg already. Maybe I should give it a try and make me a new alt...maybe a male avatar, just for the challenge
  23. I don't really see the point in adding random people from SL in Skype. Most people go inworld when they want to talk to other people from SL. And they logg off when they have to go or when its not that interesting.
  24. If everyone in a club just waits for the others to IM them or to start a conversation......then I won't wonder about everyone being silent.
  25. Some shops have special offers for avatars under the age of 30 days. Sometimes its a free skin, a free outfit or a complete avatar. Also a look at the marketplace is always worth a try, there are some good qualitiy freebies or 1L offers.
