Why Are Nicks Allowed on the Forums?
Garnet Psaltery replied to Prokofy Neva's topic in Forums Feedback
Does anyone else think that "Your avatar is waiting for you" is a bit scary? -
It is still quite hard to connect the parcels in Edit if they're distant. You need a long drawing distance and a steady hand. It just occurred to me though that the animals might try to wander across other parcels. Without knowing how their scripts work I can't be sure, but I suspect they might end up in a heap while encountering the parcel border.

Oh, that's a shame. Is it because the parcels are far apart?

Changing the group land is deeded to
Garnet Psaltery replied to Venetia Cazalet's topic in General Discussion
It worked just now when I tried it on behalf of someone asking in another thread. -
Follow his instructions where he says " e) Left Click on ground again and hold it this time. Then drag your mouse, until your yellow square line enter the second parcel. f) Stop holding the mouse , just let it and a new menu pops up! There you can see now a "JOIN" button is highlighted and if you click it the 2 parcels will be one! The result will be one parcel with the sum of meters and prims of the two parcels."

Secondlife declining player base
Garnet Psaltery replied to Cheza Tearfall's topic in General Discussion Forum
You could start a trend - frozen weddings! Everyone dresses up and stands still for half an hour. They can still chat and make vows, and there's plenty of time to take nice pictures -
Estate Manager rights. Terraforming, terrain texturing, windlight setting, banning, etc. Take an Info card from the rental box in the NE corner and read it. Buy the land then pay rent. The lake and mountain in the photo are just to show the terraforming range and look a bit less boring in the ad. I'll nuke them for you if you like.

I'd so love to make a machinima with Tinies set to this piece. I can see it in my mind's eye but haven't got the skills. The pictures used here don't really mean anything but there is a nice one of a cat

Speaking of childhood listening, as some are, here is one of the tunes I regularly heard as a child. It was so exciting, and I knew what it was like as I used to travel by steam trains

New Estate Access Management Tools
Garnet Psaltery replied to Grumpity Linden's topic in General Discussion
15? That's a cricket team plus 3 umpires and a referee! Looks very useful, though, for larger Estate holders, and the future feature showing banned dates should help in clearing out the list of dross. -
*poke poke* There must be someone out there with a clue, or elite knowledge, or something who knows. I know I'm being impatient but just a hint, please?

I once dressed up as a Tiny Unicorn to give a ride to a Hedgie friend. He wore his elephant onesie, which saved me from his spines.

Parte Tenebrosa is an island on its own that has just reopened with the aim of creating a Northern European/Canadian ambience with a touch of mystery. The parcels for rent are ready for terraforming and building within the loose theme. Tasteful Gothic and Fae builds and the like are fine as well as normal houses. Terraforming is permitted. Humans and non-humans are welcome. Communication among residents is provided via the island group but is optional, and your privacy is important. There is no planned rp but ideas are welcome. The rental rate is very reasonable at L$3,900 per week for 5,000 prims. There are 3 quarter-sims available in the NW, SW, and SE of the region. Take an Info notecard from a rental box in the middle of the region and please read the Covenant enclosed in it. Please enquire if you wish to have a smaller parcel; this could be arranged. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Parte Tenebrosa/118/138/25 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Parte Tenebrosa/118/118/25 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Parte Tenebrosa/139/119/25

New Land Prices and GF or buydown sims ?
Garnet Psaltery replied to Valisha Beaumont's topic in General Discussion
There are grandfathered regions for sale now and then (though not mine, it's taken). The transfer fee is the same as the buy-down fee was - $600. So you can still get the benefit if you keep your eye on notices here or in the group For Sale by Owner. (There is another group but I can't remember the name). Purchase prices on resale of grandfathered regions have gone down following LL's announcement though I have no idea whether they'll swing back up next month. -
