  1. Check out Golden Years, could be what you are looking for http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tableau/230/178/2
  2. Pro tip for when people are asking you questions that are none of their business. Respond with "Why do you ask?". 9 times out 10 it will shut them up, because they don't have a good reason for asking except to pry.
  3. My alt has had to stick with the dated version of the Nova head, they changed them a lot when they updated and you can no longer achieve certain shapes with them. It is possible to use EvoX on the dated heads so I don't believe you miss out on much if you stick with the older version.
  4. There is a big thread on updated LaraX clothing here, you should have no shortage of things to wear if you change to LaraX, provided your tastes are mainstream.
  5. None of those avatars look remotely like teens, they are all full grown men.
  6. The OP owned Maitreya (so would be able to get LaraX), but wanted a new body. There are other threads where LaraX is discussed at length.
  7. It would be cheaper to learn how to make skins yourself. Miss Canning has a good course that is quite affordable https://misscanning.thinkific.com/courses/lelutka-evox-skin-creating-course Alternatively, there are skin templates on the marketplace that you can edit.
  8. Only if you have some idea what it is called. And some of us have LOTS of stuff in our teleport histories.
  9. I am sure that there are a handful of people who avoid paying for things by getting returns on everything they buy in real life. But I think that if this was enabled in SL, a larger proportion of people would abuse it, due to the nature of the platform, with the fact that you would not need to physically go somewhere or put something in the mail to return it. Digital refunds are too easy to exploit. Even refunds on Steam come with some strict conditions and criteria.
  10. Being able to get returns is all well and good in theory, but what about for things like clothing, shoes and accessories? People could purchase, wear the item to an event, take photos for their blog, and then ask for a return. If returns worked this way, people could have an endless wardrobe without paying a cent. I think that some of the same concerns would apply for furnishings and homes, too.
  11. I knew exactly what store you were talking about in your original post, but like you, could not remember the name!
  12. When it comes to clothing in particular, the vast majority of popular sellers sell no mod. I don't believe their sales are affected by this, it's become a standard and people are used to it. I would not refuse to buy clothing because it is no mod. Furniture on the other hand, I would want to really like it to consider buying no mod.
  13. When you see them in photos, or in world? The hair looks perfect in photos because you only see one angle, and looks terrible on everyone in world as soon as you can zoom around. You could try Analog Dog for flexi hair combined with mesh.
  14. Amazing, I would not have guessed that was a Senra avatar.
  15. Check these out, there is a demo available https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Swallow-Love-Rings-BENTO/16403408 SuXue also has rigged wedding rings https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/66308 Strongly advise getting rigged rings if you use a mesh body, you will not be happy with how unrigged rings look.
  16. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Selenia/190/52/96 I need this gone and hope someone else can enjoy it, reduced to only 4096L (1L metre)
  17. Peeve - the sweatshirt I bought at an event has a specular layer applied, and is no mod. It does not look good under a lot of lighting and I can't fix it.
  18. Glitzz has some lingerie for Senra Jamie in the weekend sales, no pic because it is see through http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Glitzz/164/130/403
  19. Buy better hair. Most flexi stuff is garbage and only looks good in photos from one angle.
  20. I was lucky first time with my music stand, quite solid, and easy to adjust the height. I got it from a specialist DJ store.
  21. I think a lot of us here do understand the significance of the partnerships, especially long term ones, that are formed in SL. Not all SL relationships are just roleplay, many of them are as real as any other relationship. 20 years is longer than a lot of marriages. I hope you know that in SL, you can be surrounded by people who actually get it.
