So, Discord, you need an email account to create a Discord account. Where do I get my Second Life email account to create my Discord account? Because I’m not connecting real life to Second Life to Discord. I know nothing about Discord, nothing at all. What do you do with it? And to the topic, maybe LL should have an email server and give everyone a SL email account, your avatar name is your email account and you use it like any email account. I have had several email accounts, name is random long HEX number or something like that, but as soon as I close (Take) my laptop (in world laptop) the email address goes away, don’t even know how that works but it does, but very very limited, text only.

But its easier to just not log in again, end of new user.

I believe you truly understand what I was saying about the bill, just ask here if you don’t. It may be a choice to spend or wait, but now days its more “I want it now” that fits a lot of people. And about the need to go to super modern latest mesh, when I look around that “is” Second Life and you need to keep up to play the “game”, because that is what you ‘see’ its all about, or at least a good portion of it is, I know its what I see. And with some patience(?), I covered that already, I want it now knows no patience, and besides you don’t fit in that way, you need to be new and shiny. And as for the older ones growing in SL, when we singed up we got the best there is as a starter avatar, maybe give noobs the best there is now and let them start exactly like the older ones did.

I use Wear every day, its something I count on to work for me.

I think someone starting SL should get an avatar that is capable of participating in SL, something that has the ability to change clothing, modify your look. Don’t stick them with a $50 US bill for an avatar before they even get started, obviously that does not work for retention of new users. I know if I had been hit with that when I started I would not be here today. But when I started I could use SL without spending a lot of money on an avatar.

To have a viewer work one way and then out of the blue work another way is not right. You could have a corrupt file in your viewer. It may or may not effect other things.

Go to your Debug settings and find... EnvironmentPersistAcrossLogin and set it to True.

Well, here is another answer... The starter avatars are just that, starter avatars. They are not supported by creators and for the most part you can not get clothing for them other than what they have on (to the best of my knowledge). Its hard enough to get clothing for a main stream mesh avatar, clothing is made specifically for one body and one body only. Now a lot of clothing comes in sizes to fit lots of mesh avatars but most of the time not all of them. And a lot of the time you will find creators that make clothing for only one or two mesh avatars bodies. Check closely when you buy clothing that your avatar size is included. The fit of mesh clothing is VERY specific to the avatar mesh body it is rigged to and almost never can be worn by another mesh body.

I don’t use alphas, I don’t like them. Is there a way that auto alphas can be turned off? Can they be made so if I don’t need an alpha I can turn it off? As it is if it has an auto alpha I just don’t buy it. And I know I can go into my HUD and turn them off but they come back on when you relog or change clothing.

I find this rather funny that one of our fairly new Windows 10 PC does not support Windows 11. ASUS ROG B-450-F Gaming main board, 32 GB Memory, ASUS GTX 1070, Ryzen 9 3900-X 12 core CPU. Had turned off automatic updates so 11 would not install uninvited, guess that wont happen, LOL. I have no idea what is lacking and quite frankly I’m not interested, all I know is the PC can’t get windows 11 and I’m okay with that. Oh, and not a geek, but had no trouble switching to Linux on my PC and it runs like a champ. (Linux Mint Cinnamon)

I have been running Linux Mint Cinnamon for a couple years now and have never used any viewer but Kokua. I don’t script or build, but I do listen to music, live shows, and have no problems with that, just saying. And, I’ve tried the Linden viewer but it just does not run, I’m not a geek so its most likely something I’m doing wrong but I can’t get it to work at all, no errors, nothing.

I don’t think its a good idea, for me I don’t play computer games except a card game from time to time. But if SL were to shut down for some period of time I would need to look around and find something else to do on those days. And just like when I found SL, it replaced other things I was doing. So while looking around if I find something that will need my attention I may not come back to SL (as often), not likely for me but for some it may work that way. Force people to look around more than they normally would and you may not like what happens.

I don’t know anything about Ocacin so I can’t speak to that, but I see no Tonic Voluptuous. And just to be more precise the Tonic bodies are Tonic Fine Beauty, Tonic Curvy Beauty. The Minimizer is an add on to I believe the Tonic Fine, but clothing needs to be bought for Tonic Minimizer that do not fit Tonic Fine. And I don’t have the Minimizer add on so I don’t know if you need to buy tops for Minimizer and can wear bottoms for Fine, I just don’t know. I love my Tonic Fine and would hate to be looking for a body these days, I did so many demos, but kept coming back to Tonic Fine.

There is Tonic Fine, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Minimizer. I don’t think there is a Tonic Voluptuous.

My windows 10 hard drive is in a box under my desk. I can attach it to my system and boot into win10 booting from the BIOS, just don’t need to. (bought extension cables, they stick out the back of my PC, for SATA and Power and the working end is both Power and SATA and just plugs into a HDD or SSD, and I use them just like a thumb drive). When I had Windows 10 installed on my system the shop put software called Classic Shell on my system, it made Windows 10 look and act just like Windows 7 and I ran it like that for a number of years with no problems at all. From what I can tell that software has been updated to run on Windows 11, looking into it there is other software that can do the same thing. When I was using Windows 10, that I hated, the Classic Shell made it look and act like Windows 7 and that I could live with.

But... but... Nanotechnology.

I always click both boxes, always. And I still see no copy items, but I don't think they are the gacha items, just no copy things, and not a lot of them but still...

Wow, you think that’s a reasonable price. Well prices do keep going up and up, and I had to go look at my ledger and I was right, I have not done my monthly linden purchase since March. I guess now my SL will be more like RL, I’ll spend a lot of time in blue jeans (that I already have), and I don’t have a problem with that. With a 90K inventory i have clothing. When I shop on the market place I enter a top limit to the price I will spend, and its around 250L or so, so anything higher priced than that I just don’t see. And I don’t do no copy, but still get a lot of no copy in what I do see, that check box does not work very well.
