  1. I haven't read this thread so might be repeating. Altamura still has some free one out at "newbie" place I think. Check the bottom of this thread for that and others. https://fabfree.wordpress.com/the-fabfree-mesh-body-and-head-listing/ ALSO it won't be long (hopefully) until the new Linden avatars come on board. Hoping that will coincide with SL20B but that is only a guess -- no inside intel. Good luck.
  2. Wanted to let you guys know that there is a write up at "New World Notes" about our efforts last year to get creators to think about and hopefully adjust the heavy mesh they were making. Not sure if I can post a link to an outside site without getting my hand slapped but the title of the post is : SL Customers Can & Should Convince Merchants To Optimize Their Mesh Content! (Comment Of The Week) So you can look that up if you want to see what was said. Power to the Consumers and all that jazz! PS. I have some of those Dreamland Design wall planters and they ARE very nice.
  3. The main area is the MAIN area :D. The second is a "cam sim" where -- when you learn how to use the camera with ease -- you can "shop" from within that area. UNTIL you master camming you will just need to be patient in order to get into the region. There are a few events that get very full the first few days. Nothing at all about being in a group
  4. Out for the weekend at FINCA. This is a really nice modern fence set. I already have it but I am guessing like the hose there will be a poster in the lobby that takes you to the garden area where you can buy this at a SUPER value. MODULAR http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Stafford/39/77/1715
  5. You don't show your physics model but the one that appears to be showing is WAY TOO COMPLEX. Resixe the mesh yourself before uploading so that nothing is beyond the MAXIMUM 64 meters (hence that maximum thing) Make sure you have changed the mesh to "PRIM" in the build menu -- I am guessing you did that but just saying. Don't expect to walk perfectly on the hills and valleys; That pretty much never happens . You do seem to be too high though. Look at the physics via the viewer (Firestorm does this easily) or you can look at Physics through the advanced menu (I think - been awhile) in the Linden viewer. Posting some pictures of what is happening to the physics will let others help you better. Good luck.
  6. The uploader has changed a bit recently. I just tested though and my physics model is working as it should. Are you uploading your OWN physics mess using the PHYSICS tab? If so there is likely something wrong with your physics model. It should be VERY SIMPLE and that is what most folks mess up. If you are analyzing you also need to make sure that the resized CUBES do not touch each other. Here is an old video (previous interface so ignore all that ) that basically explains what you need to do. Hope that helps.
  7. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/wn-Chelsea-Curtains/21232075 I vote for these. There are two other curtain versions at {what next} also. Winter always does an excellent job.
  8. While his profile does say no inworld store at the moment and his marketplace store is virtually empty he STILL "recycles" his old gachas in the new "next up" type of item. Still no copy but you go and look until the item you want is up next or the next "ball" to drop (same thing depending on the machine). I still see his same old things advertised over and over and mostly at sale venues, so keep your eye out. While I made a ton of money on gachas I have never personally loved them. I like COPY items -- they still go missing from the database but not as often it seems :D. Good luck and you are smarter now!!!!!
  9. Hose winder at FINCA for 50 lindens Hello Tuesday. Turquoise or pink, brass or iron choices. Find the poster in the entry lobby and click to go to the garden demo are and the vendors. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Stafford/58/76/1714
  10. Hunt at Witchwood http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Desolate/128/50/25 Bed, pillows and dresses are 29 lindens. Small decor items 10 (low LOD so check that before hunting for them :D). The bed is very nice. I didn't find the table and chairs but I was mostly just doing a blog post LOL. Kinda girlie for me personally but fun.. The hunt is through the tunnel with the sign above saying WONDERLAND. Free egg gathering basket on a poster by the display.
  11. Agree that applying for a 32 x 64 would be optimal. I had a 64 x 64 parcel (given to me not applied for) in the past and you really do need a big idea to fill that space. Just making everything "oversized" doesn't count. I am just going to apply for a small are for my group. It's all good. I did a two sim build one year and it makes you really appreciate all the work the Moles go to LOL/ But fun.
  12. 25 Tuesday ---- Teleport board at landing point if it is a fixed one. Here is the exact item. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Unbroken Isle/84/137/3734 There is also a very large boat "bed" Four colors available (pastels) -- CANNOT BE RESIZED. Later: Also has a very strange pose menu that doesn't work well so basically this is outdoor "decor" to fill in a corner of your yard and look pretty (for 25 lindens :D).
  13. If using a browser, an add blocker will often be the problem. Try going in a browser with no ad blocker (or ad blocker built in). It has been that way for years :D.
  14. Who knew??? NOT "I"! Exploring over at Finca I found a whole room with older group gifts. Wear your tag and buy for 1 which is refunded. Other things in this alcove so look around a bit http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Stafford/62/72/1714
  15. Some quick shots of some of the 10th anniversary gifts at TLC. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fallen New York/135/124/11
  16. I think it is VERY interesting that they exactly fit - LOL. Hmmmmmm. Agree that strong shading is a problem (cast shadow lights instead of "ambient"). But I don't think the money earned from this is going to balance the bad taste in folks' mouths. Shoppers remember.
  17. Now at Uber. Not as fun as the cliff house but lots of good deck space for sure.
  18. Well SADLY I am sorry to report that I "highlighted" that Kazza closet set. It was pretty confusing when you got there and what you were buying wasn't even put out. I bought it to see and this is what you get. There is also a men's version but I didn't buy that and it didn't seem (judging from the women's) that it wa on display. Now you could of course make your own shelves rather than paying the $444 it seemed closet set but the LODs are pretty bad so unless you run at LOD 4 likely not too worthwhile. Sorry to report this as Kazza has had some great deals in the past. Times change.
  19. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Essences/76/184/22 In parts! Good LODs
  20. PLEASE SEE THE POST ON THIS FROM LATE RIN THE DAY. This is NOT what it appears to be LOL. SORRY. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/KAZZA/99/189/23
  21. Nutmeg for the weekend. 11 LI good LODs (towel disappears first) and reasonable triangle count. The good news is that it comes with and without the towel (I love the towel). Both PG and A versions are in the pack.
  22. Points for creativity for sure although the are probably out there in the real world. Very art deco. The Engine Room.
  23. All about the earrings - The Engine Room gift
