  1. I had some rezzing issues while placing furniture also --- same items appearing where they were NOT meant. And I am REALLY old with LOTS of practice so likely there is a bit of faulty physics going on. So if you are new, don't worry about it. TIP: if you lose something and you think it is really there (hidden inside the attic maybe or somewhere else odd, you can use AREA SEARCH to see where it might be and then EDIT to see the gizmo handles -- or just delete it if it is a copy item. You can also rez a prim on the floor and drop items onto that and then delete the prim.
  2. Really nice pool and (see previous conversation on fencing) a whole are with NO FENCES LOL. Sure there are tons of little places to find.
  3. Here is my picture of the day. I am pretty much finished for now (wheelbarrow still on the list). I am sure some interesting decor will present itself over time as I have lots of LI points left but the kitchen is cluttered enough for me. So far the houses that I have peeked into have put the kitchen by the front door (sure there are those that haven't I just haven't been perve camming LOL). I put mine in the back in part as path to the back yard patio and garden. It feels very homey. The little room is my living room. It still needs some work but that can happen over time.
  4. Yes. I guess that was why so many folks said they were trying different spots (this inland). I wasn't getting that before my long journey, but now I see ALL the differences. And yes if you WANTED a fence and didn't get one, that cuts into your land impact points for sure. I would have just put some bushes up - LOL. I am on a "brick road" on the side and a path in the front so no road for me. But I can get both bike and scooter out the front gate. There aren't any cars in my sim (some surfboards) so the folks that wanted to drive moved on to another plot.
  5. Thanks. I have no plans to use them and intend to stay in this spot for a long while, so likely the moles have better things to do :D. I only saw two empty (house missing) lots on my journey but understand there have been a few of those. I absolutely LOVED the person that put the trailer up in their empty lot!!!!! So I am good. I do have hedges and some other stuff but the exterior textures were really the only thing I wanted and I have those. So I am set. Glad it all makes better sense now though.
  6. I opened mine yesterday and all that your picture showed wasn't there -- just the picket fence that I have at my place ^^ so yes confusion. Maybe my box didn't get updated -- or I was in another reality. Thanks for the photo of the items. Sure that will be helpful to folks. Odd that I saw so few places without fences on my cross country. Of course different moles likely put together different sims. My sim had fences on each and every plot ( I just went over and checked and yep every one -- all the same fence too) so I was surprised in my cross country journey to see some plots without. It is a BIG continent though and I am sure that things are different in various areas --- that's a great thing. Personally I was very impressed with the inland part of the continent; it had much more variety than I expected.
  7. Went back and looked more closely and it looks like you are correct -- going to check. [still questionable- see below] Assuming the lot line is similar to mine that fence IS inside the lot line. There aren't that many places without fences but this appears to be one (the brick textures don't have the same scale - hence "homemade" :D). It would of course be against the rules in to put something outside a Linden fence -- which seems to be the norm in most sims. I will go back and fix my comment. EDIT: I see the problem. There are TWO similar houses with fences and signs. THIS is the one I was referring to, not the other. Difficult to tell if it is a Linden fence or home made. Baked textures for sure. Not pointing fingers. It looks lovely.
  8. Yes but the TEXTURE pack is INSIDE another pack (something like resources -- anyway not a home choice). You need to open up THAT pack to see the texture pack and then open IT up.
  9. There really IS no issue unless you make it so. It is extremely easy to change outfits without getting naked. It has been that way for at least a decade. They use to teach classes in that at NCI. Put on the NEW clothes you wish to try and then take off the old. This is really not rocket science. Personally I am thrilled ban lines will go away. I have had them turned off for a decade (and yes that is easy also) but there is NO reason to have your photo snapped naked unless you choose to have it so. Anyone who wants absolute privacy can opt for other alternatives. Everyone has a CHOICE.
  10. LEA6 ground level has a bit of steampunk but not overtly. There is a steampunk floater platform (balloon flight) up in the air if that is helpful. Some other spots at ground level have a steampunk vibe. Others are more long ago - timeless :D.
  11. Ah true -- do we have those brick parts in the home pack? I just checked and the kit has MINE (picket) but none of the others. If it is a mole fence that it seems to be then lot lines are generally inside the fence by a fair margin (at least in my area) so anything outside your lot line is against the covenant. The rules are very clear on that. I wanted to put my "Lending Library" outside the fence as that is where it would go in the real world, but noted that would definitely be against the rules. We will see what is enforced and what is not.
  12. Sign is actually "illegal" (covenant) but hopefully there will be some discretion there. I love it too.
  13. Great job. I love your old stove. I have an old friend - lover that had a stove like that LOL. Who makes that? Thanks.
  14. A little late for this year but maybe we could have a continent wide Easter Egg Hunt NEXT year - LOL. The last one of those that "I" went on was in the Ba-you-ya. Much fun.
  15. Here is a bit of input from someone who has designed sims for awhile (assume some of you guys have too). It isn't just changing the GROUND texture, it is also changing out the trees and bushes. Yes if the flora was scripted with a UUID that could "maybe" (beyond my techiness - I just do websites) be controlled on the server, BUT it is unlikely that scripted trees would happen as that just adds to lag. So think about 400 regions and all the WORK involved to change things out. Let alone put snow on the rocks etc. I can't see any way that is going to happen -- just from a practical point of view. And then there is the issue of people having "Spring" trees in the middle of winter. And ==== Need I go on LOL. Since the long range plans for Linden Homes is to have TONS eventually, there are all sorts of possibilities of course, but changing out a few continents each season seems to be a remote possibility :D.
  16. Tired after a two and a half hour ride across Bellisseria.
  17. So I had a fun project this afternoon. A RL friend dropped by and reminded it was Earth Day on Monday. Wheels spinning :D. I got out some solar panels for awhile back and remade them (and clustered) to fit on top of the carport patio addition. Only 2 land impact and certainly "quirky" (and environmental of course). My place is really starting to look like "my place" LOL. These (in theory) run both flush lights (in between the beams) and fans (cause we want to be cool in the summer).
  18. LOL. I am not a gacha fan for that reason but since there are almost NO aftermarket products from that set I bet you can sell them in the Marketplace :D. The other plants are great too. I have used them a lot and have them inside my LH home. Personally? I sell all my gachas (if rules allow) ALSO as full COPY sets. I really don't like no copy items. Even COPY items disappear :D.
  19. I found the post mentioned by Patch. Clicked on "Patch Linden" to get his feed list. Found the date mentioned. Here is the post. You can easily read ALL of Patch's posts that way. In the thread called LINDEN HOMES. EDIT: The exact quote would be "coming very soon" as you can see.
  20. Said by Patch here on the forums not long after that official post. You know, the forums where smart folks hang out so that we can actually KNOW what is going on (or as much as possible anyway). Sorry. Just getting tired of all the complainers. The forums (while sometimes toxic) are some of the best places to get info in SL. BUT you have to actually WATCH them to learn what you need to know.
  21. Great to see Aquila posting those pretty explanations. The bottom line which no one is saying out loud but that you can find on Oh SO MANY threads here is that Sketchup is NOT a good program for SL. Aside from the physics issues there are other problems. So you (the OP) might want to do some research here on the forums before you commit hardily to Sketchup :D. Good luck with your building adventures and enjoy the journey!
  22. Agreed. BE SURE (everyone) AND CHECK YOUR LOW LI TREES ON LOD2 (or lower). There were a few that fell apart for me on my bike ride. My favorite is the RIORO one but it doesn't fit in all that well with the Linden trees. Also make sure you can turn off full bright (hopefully not so much of that happening but there were some BRIGHT fantasy trees around and they SO didn't work with the landscape. Hopefully they will be returned for "not fitting in"). DDD has some great things. I have some bushes that I use a lot and they come in clusters so are low LI for what you get. I am on SAND so they didn't work for my plot. I used some old no longer available pampas grass clumps which are sculpts but still very good looking. And yes that tree you showed fits in nicely in green areas. I saw quite a few of those as I meandered in the very early morning hours. There are also some VERY popular bushes that are similar. Probably the best way to "shop" is to wander around and see what your neighbors have and inspect for the maker LOL.
  23. Yes, I did too right after I posted and updated with that info (maybe further down in the thread, I don't remember). The gacha machine is at the store so there is that. The Looking Glass had some sunflowers from long ago -- not sure if they are still available) and "PLAAKA - Sunflower Round" (gacha) might be good to check for on the aftermarket. BUT while they are LOVELY, they are also PRIMMY ( so not for you personally unless you want a garden in the houseboat float (would be fun - there is actually a WHOLE huge greenhouse out on a lake in Canada I think that is made up of "floats" all tied together). Went by your house on my ride. You must have a sign out or something as I just noticed it was YOURS and wasn't looking for anyone LOL.
  24. If you pay yearly as you did and count in the "stipend" you get back each week, it figures out to a bit over a dollar per month. I think it is closer to $15 a year but there are many ways to calculate and the value of the linden dollar does fluctuate some. If you are a first time premium person I think you may still get a bonus after 45 days, but not sure if that is still going on -- so then it would be LESS than a dollar a month. Since we know that there will be houseboats soon (they are working on them in the SSP sims now) you can grab one of those if you are paying attention and are lucky. More houses in different styles are coming "soon" (best general - no official - guess is 2-3 months). So just keep watching the forums and other official Linden outlets (Town Halls and other videos) so that you will know when they first appear and get one.
  25. Two and a half hours in the late night and very early morning hours. A great ride and a great time. Full story on my blog. Sure you can find it if you want to :D. Honestly, I was SO IMPRESSED. This is where I quit last night, at what I "thought" was the halfway point. Not so much LOL.
