LL has said on numerous occasions that they will not bring back old legacy names.

Yes, I know. However, the whole point of having a meme last name is the fact that you waited for it to show up and then quickly made that alt. It's not the same if you just change your display name to whatever you want.

Display names aren't real, though.

lol its SL, nothing is real.

When they got rid of last names, they said they were gonne bring in display names so that everyone could have exactly the name they wanted. That sounds pretty real to me 😁

Ha! That was my first account last name! The show brought me here!

I don’t think too many people would get the reference today though. It’s kind of like having the last name Stanley today. Most people would get the reference now, but 10 years from now it’ll be obscure.

A quick seach of Gossipgirl profiles suggest start dates of early 2008 into 2009. I only looked at a half-dozen so I don't have the best idea of their range or end-date, but clearrly they do start earlier than you remember.

That's going to trigger bringing back other last names of the past.

I haven't spent the last umpteen years wiping out the other Cianci's, just so someone could come along and plant a seed, about bringing back older names..

I've worked to hard at my goal to fail in the eleventh hour!

While they said they won't bring bad past names, they accept suggestions. You could try with Gossipperson (might be interesting to hear how people say it on voice), Gossipboy, Gossipgal,...

There are so many amazing last names that aren't available for decades. It's nice to date how old someone really is.
