Now I have to log out and log back in! \o/

I missed it this morning when I logged in.. hehehe

The splash page is cycling through several different variants and it's been a while since I saw the one I posted a screenshot of so you might be too late for that one. The only thing that stays the same is the googly eyes.

In addition to the tilted screen, I saw to different color splashes across the top.  a lovely purple and blue and a green on green.  both I like a lot tbh.  and I saw 10 versions of the peeking face in the lower right.  Is, all in all, a nice April 1 touch :)

You don't actually need to restart your viewer to see the splash screen. You can just go to > https://phoenixviewer.com/app/loginV3/ and hit refresh every time.

It gets interesting at times. I refreshed it enough to see a completely purple one and some other colors.

Sorry FS. I probably made the kids ping your servers a lot more now. ;)

Me, too. Here are my screenshots from kubuntu (Linux).

Here is my solution (restoring SL's default login splash screen):

#!/bin/bash

prog=”bin/do-not-directly-run-firestorm-bin”
if ! [ -f $prog ] ; then
	prog=”Firestorm-Releasex64.exe”
	if ! [ -f $prog ] ; then
		echo ”This scripts must be run from inside the Firestorm installation directory.”
		exit 1
	fi
fi
perl -pi -e 's;https://phoenixviewer.com/app/loginV3/\0;https://viewer-splash.secondlife.com/\0\0;' $prog
echo ”Login screen URL patched”

Place this script inside a ”patch-firestorm.sh” file, and from a terminal in Linux, Cygwin or WSL, make it executable (chmod +x path_to_script/patch-firestorm.sh), change to the viewer installation directory, and invoke that script (path_to_script/patch-firestorm.sh).

Problem solved ! 😛

I find it sad, however, that FS is not offering a debug setting to change the login screen to the default one. I mean, not everyone wants to see *their* screen...
