I am re-arranging my land and house. It is not finished yet.
The house is an exact copy of the RL Edith Farnsworth house.  A historical house designed and constructed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe between 1945 and 1951.

Ian, that is so sweet. You know everybody's dream is to have a place like that, right? It's beautiful.

I am bored and want to change, but I like what I have too much. Help, I have to rent land if I will do something new.

Marianne, that's just the most amazing house. The garden, elevated pool, and outdoor lounge fit together so well. It's comfortable, I can see why you want to keep it. It has the feel of open space and the square shapes make it feel protected. On foggy or cloudy days it looks dreamy.

Cloud, those seasonal trees are amazing, I had seasonal trees once and never came close to how fantastic your forest is. I think if I was going to make another forest, I would use Prim Possible trees. Studio Skye has to be used sparingly. Who was the creator on your trees? Let's go hiking, that is so nice.

It's not much, but I love it!

Cae, you've got interior decorating down pat. How did you get all of the interior colors to fit together perfectly? You should be an interior designer you know how to put colors together. The sunflowers are wonderful but I love those colorful little tulip gardens. It's a wonderful place.

I've had this 4096 mainland parcel for several years, with a variety of houses and landscaping over time.  These pictures are of the current house and landscaping.  I had thought I was going to need to give this land up, but realized how important it is to me, so I found some other things to cut from my discretionary budget.  I find being out on my land to be very relaxing and stress reducing, which is something needed right now given how chaotic my RL household is right now, and that I'm also 11 months out from chemotherapy, radiation therapy and major surgery (and cancer free at the moment!).  I choose this house with its goddess symbol windows to remind me that I'm strong and will survive!

There are bird songs and other nature sounds all over the parcel.

I have a hard time taking pictures inside houses, but here's the living room:

Moira, this is absolutely the most magical house I've ever seen. The weathered concrete makes indoors feel like outdoors. The shape of the house seems almost multidimensional with multiple roofs. It looks like there's a separate building, a barn converted into a colorful lounge. Your use of rocks and walls to create different levels of land gives it a hilltop or mountain side feel. It seems safe and protected, mostly magical though.

Et voilà, my main home in a Tuscany (Italy) setting during summer! I guess it doesn't 100% qualify for this thread here, as it is not currently rezzed - I only move there from early summer until late fall. But it is my main home that I have had every summer for years, so I felt like just sharing it anyway.

If you would like to see the full album with more (and larger) images of the property, check my flickr album out: https://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelblackwood/albums/72177720300676943

You're not the only one, darling! *giggles*

No seriously, though. I am, as well! Although, in fact, it looks a bit different now. Before I packed everything up last fall, I changed the surrounding land. Along with that, I moved the tiny master bathroom behind that TV to another room and turned that bathroom into a walkable closet. At the same time, I got rid of the ugly shelf-closet on the left and instead there is now a giant top-to-bottom glass facade overlooking the lawn and pool.

I have just somewhat returned to SL, and I'm considering placing down my home again (a little earlier than usual). If I do, I'll take an updated snapshot. 🙂

Oh me god! Okay you NEED to let me live with you! This is frigging gorgeous! If I wasn't so much in love with my own cute home, I would flat out kidnap then blackmail and extort you to let me live with you, hah! Actually, wait, not a bad idea... let me find my old balaclava somewhere. Brb!

Major renovations to the whole entrance area of my Estate in Italy finally finished - and I'm LOVIN' it! Probably going to exchange the ugly textile awning over the entrance and still seeking for some mesh dirt layer to "roughen up" the ground with. But other than that I'm more than happy.
