Hello! Just wondering where the music scene is, in Second Life? Apart from DJing, I want to know and focus on music performers and music makers that share their music, or sell it, or advertise it here on Second Life please. Sorry if I'm on the wrong thread for posting this. And thank you for anyone that answers my concerning question! XD

Looking for a gig to get myself out there on Second Life as I find Second Life fun as well, and I make music so I thought why not dip my toes into Second Life with my music. I'll DJ it, plus some other tracks just for the hell of it, practice, etc, and advertising myself. Cheers, Joe

Home designer/builder that specializes in houses. I can branch out, but be prepared to be disappointed if I consider the task to be too much for me and I decline the offer. A bit about me and my experience. I love building. I'll get that out of the way, whether it be vehicles (at least try to build them), bizarre architecture, or perhaps some sort of tool, etc. I just love to build. I have experience with Blender, meshes, prims, link-sets, land-impact. I also have a bundle of tools at my exposal to complete a task. Mesh generator, a large library of textures, a wealth of meshes and prims that are unique in shape or quality. Something I explicitly do not do, is anything to do with clothing. As I do not have avimesh and I find it incredibly difficult to setup Blender for clothing in-mind, without avimesh. ‼️BELOW ARE SOME FACTS ‼️ I'll be honest. I haven't played Second Life for long. But every day I churn out home designs, and make them available (or scrap them) for sale. I will not link that though. I will link a list of photos of my proudest builds for some examples of my work. Every day I am practicing, and learning. I will set a price based upon the complexity of what needs to be built. We can haggle. I am fine with that. It doesn't have to be a home, I can branch out, but it has to be something architectural or I just won't do it. Message me via in-game on Second Life, through the profile, Iggy (Igloo44D). Or you can message me here on the forums. What will happen after you message is that I will go through the process of what will actually be happening, after I have talked with you about what you want exactly, we will then negotiate the price. And then I will start building ASAP. I have a bunch of other builds, these two are my most recent. A beach home and a design focusing on minimalism. I have done a building in the baroque style and also a contemporary/modern home as well.

Omg! I've, dam wow. You're extremely talented! I've looked at your building that you are currently doing, and I'm checking out your Gallery 56 I think it's called. And you're really, really, really talented. Building in every possible way. O_O ❤️ I'm full on in love with your style.

Very, very cool! I love the statues! I was trying to build a brutalist sort of building a while ago, but ended up giving up on it. It's cool to see somebody else building in that style :3 And it looks really good too.

Thank you so much everyone for your answers! I really love this! It has cleared my mind so much and I feel comfortable knowing what can happen if something bad did happen. I agree, Katherine. Whilst I am new, my building ability (nowhere near anything of substantial quality) has made me more perceptible of higher quality homes and I have noticed a ton of very nice builds for only around L$1000 lindens, and such. One sticks out straight away when I think of that. The 15,000 was excessive. I loved it for how big it was, but other than that... Well.. Anyway. So what I've gathered from all of your answers, is that people can make a claim of copyright, but it doesn't necessarily mean it'll stick. 😆 Which eases my mind a hell of a lot, thank you!!

Is this allowed??? I'm new to Second Life, but in games like Minecraft, etc. People LOVED compliments and people being inspired by other builds for being aesthetically pleasing. It went like this, I said 'Did you build this?', and then he replied with 'yes'. I said afterwards, 'I love it! You're very talented.' And he said 'ty' and so I told him why I'm here and I wouldn't be able to afford a L$15,000 price tag on his building, I'm just here to draw inspiration from and get ideas. He then followed with 'I will file a DMCA against you if I find anything copied'. I told him how I would NEVER ever copy somebody. He said I am obviously going to, as I said it previously. But I never used the word 'copy'. Or to tactfully do that even. I wouldn't even replicate it with my own creative ability - I couldn't even. So my question is this. Is that a valid thing? Can somebody do that? Now I'm freaked out about going around visiting other peoples creations because they look cool. There is in no way that I am going to be copying somebody. It's like going on Google Images, or a book, or somewhere where there is architecture. And then going on to build similar shapes, etc. Like then everything is basically copied?? I really don't understand. Could somebody please sum this up for me?

I don't know if I'm allowed to bump a post on here But if it's not allowed I'm super sorry! I really want to show what I've been doing with the redone version of the above. I've been doing a build for somebody recently, and I thought I should share it on the forums! It's an old building, modernized. It's still in very, very early stages at the moment. But I'm really liking what I've done so far.

Hello! I'm a new builder that absolutely loves to 3D model and design homes. Outside of Second Life I have been a 3D Modeler. And I would just really love to build somebody a nice home. =] You set a price. I will accept. Basically, I just really want to build up a portfolio. So I'm willing to build for a very cheap fee! A bit of background information: I genuinely love the design of homes and all of the various kinds that you can find if you look around, I use to watch a lot of documentaries on architecture and just art in general. I like to think I have an alright eye for an aesthetic with which I am attempting to pull off. My main area in architecture are modern, minimalist houses though. But I really can and would like to branch out and develop some unique houses outside of that area as well! Side note: I will provide all of the textures for the house that is wanting to be made, along with furniture (if wanted) and the home will also be 3D modelled using Blender, some of it might be used within SL using the basic primitive meshes that they nicely provide. I'm very new to all of this, but I can definitely build a SL home and it'll be decent too! And to top it off, I'm only asking for a very, very small sum of Linden dollars. Hey, I'm new to this game and had just rented out a small bit of land, parcel[?] The dilemma isn't anything to do with permissions 'nd such, but the fact that I have this big ol' nasty sign in the middle of my nice small bit of land!
