A visitor's plaque explains this was built to protect against the savage pirate Mad Margot. another plaque tells us she had her last stand here, that her treasure remains unrecovered. WTH am I? I sort of fell on to it faster then expected, (and then off of it... several times) when looking around. 😁 No sign of her treasure, though, have to think it's around there somewhere! To keep with the fortified theme, and speaking of falling over or in things, I almost fell into a well in the courtyard of this one.
