Yeah, what Alyona said. For some reason when I was clicking the link Sylvia provided, the "Issue type" dropdown menu was broken and would only allow me to choose "Account issue." Now it works and "Land & Region" can be chosen.

You might need to be sure you're logged in to get the fuller set of issue type options.

Yes, the only reason I knew where that was is that I had to put in my own ticket as my control panel is not actually allowing access to the names I put into the access list. And a totally bizarre reaction also: My alt has the same first name as I do, but different last name and when I add her name then click back - the menu pops up on her screen! LOL But if she clicks "Done" then no way to get it back (because of no access). But also no access to a friend I added.

I only mention this to anyone else willing to try it probably should: Add someone to your control panel access. They then should be able to open locked doors and use the control panel, etc. In my case: not happening.

Well the good news is that one of the Moles came and fixed my mailbox so I have a  house again. (TBH I think all he had to do was re-set the scripts).

He said that anyone else having the same trouble, to put in a support ticket and they'll get to it soon. I was pleasantly surprised how quick it was.

They sadly did not at my house, not sure why ... send a ticket Saturday and they told me today they want an expert to have a look  :( .. missing my new house now 3 days, guess this will take longer, not happy here!

Same here.  Ticket sent at 3:48 AM Saturday,  and it's going on 4 days now.  Why does it take a "specialist" to figure out a problem that is affecting hundreds?  Can the scripts only be reset on the lifesafer (I have a houseboat) by the script owner, one of the moles?   That's going to keep a lot of moles busy if these things randomly fail when the region reboots.

My wildly speculative guess is -- I don't have a home there -- is that the style thingy does more than just change drapes and stuff. :) I think it basically just derezzes and then rerezzes different pre-styled homes -- and that, for reasons unknown, a house can stay gone that way. Obviously quite a serious bug, that they're currently looking into.

The house rezzer is a separate object, actually outside the house parcel (either a mailbox or a lifesaver.)  It's not part of the inside house control unit which basically changes textures on the walls, floors, and trim.  My house decorator box continued to work fine, when the rezzer lost it's mind.  The rezzer was fixed today, after the scheduled region updates around 5AM slt.  I don't know if rebooting the region fixed the scripts, or there were moles scrambling all over resetting the rezzers after the updates, since I had gone to bed.  I hope those who lost their houses can get them back now.

Well, my point was that the style rezzer likely doesn't just change floors/textures, but actually derezzes and then rerezzes different pre-styled templates (of the entire chosen home), if you willl. Anyway, the probblem is apparently solved, so my speculating on what happeed is kinda moot now. :)

Definitely not.  The scripts inside will actually be changing the textures on the various faces of the house/houseboat, not completely re-rezzing with changed textures.  Scripting just the texture change is way too easy not to do it that way.

I'll take your word for it, as I'm not a resident there. :) Still, makes you wonder what made the houses derezz then. I do quite a bit of scripting myself. I'm nothing special, really, but I know enough to know that setting a texture on a face somewhere doesn't normally make your house derezz. Could be the 'style' box is in communication with the mailbox too? (To sync stuff, who knows).

Anyway, it would appear the matter is solved. Which means, that by the time I land one of these new homes, all style issues will likely be gone.

There are two different style changers involved here.

There is a control panel inside the house, which changes textures on the walls, floor and roof. This one does not re-rez anything, it continues to work fine.

The other one is the mailbox/lifesaver outside the property. This one ONLY changes the entire house, by de-rezzing and re-rezzing the style you choose. This is the one that is breaking. The problem is that the mailbox/lifesaver will spontaneously de-rez the house and ceases to show options to choose a new one, so the resident can't rez a new house, whether to change to a different style or to replace one that disappeared.

Same here, and then I touched my house and it vanished entirely.  I submitted a support ticket, so I guess I'll be living in a skybox for a month

Actually there are at least a couple of houses that have been converted into cafes/coffee shops. Far nicer than Starbucks too.

But mine was back to normal in less than 24 hours.
