  1. Others that are in the grasps of the US goverments are closing down to personal storage only. But there is hope, we`re moving to russia :matte-motes-silly:
  2. Cause it would stop the alt abuse on throw away accounts, every one accountable, even the alts
  3. A vendor is not an "inventory" box *need a face palm smiley* She needs to remove the items and delete it, the money is gone, period
  4. I knew my avi had a proportioning issue as she was tall, but after reading your blog pussycat and having a go with an backup copy, she appeared to have more issues then i thought :matte-motes-mad: So from 1.89 (exodus avi heigh(edit mode)) i just went to 1.77, it`s still 8.5 head times length, but i`m keeping it at this as she doesn`t have a long chin like most creators do After getting penny`s freebie shape, as your anatomy made me go "uhm", her shape appeared to be exactly as you described on the blog. So....i took a ruler and started to measure myself and *facepalm* 2 hours after fiddling with the anatomy she looks abit human again, even had to use the shoe base for my boots lol The arm length i kept abit shorter then the height (~90%), to much of a leap from "freak" :matte-motes-silly:
  5. Must be, she`s lagging a few years behind :matte-motes-silly:
  6. It`s a region message when some one changes their nick, harmless
  7. Thank god for double prim sims, mendatory water \☺/ https://my.secondlife.com/alicia.sautereau/snapshots/4f1680ae85f0d5534f000001
  8. Not to forget people who care a ton of scripts/1000 flexi parts that cripple a sim with their mere appearance. Usually the people who allways complain about lag where ever they go, as they are the source...
  9. No point with a throw away vertex 2 and cache set to ~10gig
  10. Ran the numbers on some, and in general they are way more expensive then buying it directly form LL. Gotta love that false advertisement "Cheapest L$ for secondlife" bs lol
  11. Should work fine as they are saved by uuid
  12. Another addon: Added a glow option, 0.05 steps Added a default glow value for when the light is turned off (for who wants it) Added a RGB conversion, now you can just input the RGB values from the color picker :matte-motes-silly: Added a color value for when the light is off Light bulb now changes into the light color used Use a bright color, say white, for when the light is turned on and use a dark gray color when it`s turned off or keep both values the same
  13. Small revision: Re-added the exit button Removed the doLight() at the end of the listner to the end of each command Added a "show settings" button that says the current values in local, easy for making this the default light values when you have found a good settin, also works better when copy&ing the object for identical values.
  14. You do what i do and your computer will blow up, peggy... I only replied for Rene...
  15. Rene, Skip the ati cards, sl doesn`t play nice with ati when enabling deferred rendering, nvidia cards love it. Don`t bother with sli/crossfire for sl, it isn`t supported and will run on only 1 card. 950watt is overkill for that pc No need for the soundcard H60 is nice, but a decent fan cooler will do as good, same amount of noise and cheaper Now i can clearly see that this shop is not exactly a bunch of specialists, for 1 good reason: The new socket 2011 gets an advantage from the quad channel configuration, but for that 4 of the ram slots need to be used (4x 1gig - 4x 2gig - 4x 4gig etc) Compare it to running with only 2 memory modules on an 1366 instead of 3 (dual or tripple), normal use you won`t notice it, but anything that does memory intensive things, you will seriously notice some serious system performance compared to a full rack in quad channel configuration. Would go to the shop and have a lil chat with the guys, see if they can swap things around for the same price.
  16. We are talking about a pc that needs to outlast 2 years, do it right from the start if you have the budget and not endup replacing part by part. A lesser cpu will do fine, but they are now 2 generations old. Running boinc when not behind the pc, so actually am "mapping" the universe. Packing/unpacking files at max compression wich would make a less cpu cry. Rendering power, here`s where a few friends are jelous cause it can handle couple of times the amount of vertex`s. Loading times are reduced. Everything goes instantly. Ssd for windows - doesn`t gets filled that much Ssd for games/apps - half full, but all the work files are located on the 6tb, but instant load Old vertex 2 i had lying around for cache disc not to kill the vertex 3 or revo and replace ti with another vertex2 when it dies. Local storage is normal discs Memory for everything abouve, just packing at maximum compression in 7z requires 16gb of memory and the quad channel is quite abit faster. 1500 watt, because it did 4 5870 befor the upgrade, besides, when things start to lag, it can handle a fourth 580, or 3 next gen cards, 1000watt did`t pull that much reliably. 3 gpu`s to take advantage of the extra processing capacity for programs and games, wanted 4, but got a revo instead And ofcourse benching for the heck of it. I guess you could say that for most people it`s overkill, ket alone overclock it all. But then i hear people complain about "lag" when there is non, except their low fps, makes me chuckle while running with double their settings and fps. Half the threads about "hardware related" questions i just ignore, only because some thingk they know better and give crap for advice as they clearly have no frigging clue of what they are saying. I won`t link the threads as i can`t be arsed to go search for them, but i feel sorry for those people who actually thinking to upgrade their pc with bad advice. As i said in that other topic , i`m stupid to have come back, nothing changed and nothing will ever change. I`m going to return to the shadows and have a laugh at all those "expert" advises. Ahwell, this will be my last post for awhile, for people that run in a dead end here, just look me up inworld, my door is allways open.
  17. Here`s some advice to any one reading this post: If you aren`t 100% sure of what your going to say, don`t say it and specially don`t go into a discussion about it. High end pcs generate abit more heat, yea, but they cool the same as a crappy pc, it`s all relative. If the op said it isn`t a cooling issue but an update issue, don`t go arguing that it`s a cooling issue. Maybe i wasn`t fair to say that about phil without saying the same about dresden, seen him butt into thing to argue without having relation to the topic besides the mere fact to have an argument. Meh, what ever... No forum was actually nice&quiet, dumb to have come back here, somethings never change... ps, now that i remember the word again, don`t start..., no offense peggy, but your second post came down as patronizing
  18. Dont worry Farthington, Phil has allways been abit of an ... , it`s that old forum clique they had going back "then", just a few new members by the looks of it...
  19. Sorry peggy, but that`s a "meh" build, try this cpu: i7 3960X, 4.5ghz - 5.1ghz stable mobo: rampage extreme 4 (2011 socket) ram: 16gb G Skil F3 2133mhz (quad channel (2011 mobo) gpu: 3x evga 580 - 1025/2050/2050 psu: silverstone strider 1500watt windows hdd: Corsair force 3 ssd 180gb games: ocz revo3 120gb (975 / 875 MB/s) local storeage: 6gb raid 0 cache (temp stuff): ocz vertex 2 120gig Even the first generation sandybridges are faster then the old i7 9** cores, the SB-E just whipes the floor with them :matte-motes-silly:
  20. Think they just had to compete with the other manufactors and dropped the ball on quality These days we recommend the top asus/evga motherboards and cards for people who want to oc their pc, the stuff just won`t break, not even after a long period of running oc`ed But to be fair, the asus rampage 3 mobo`s did make me cry when pulling off the stock cooling for a water block, the pasta was some cheap garbage and didn`t even touch every where. On the rampage 4 it was applied perfect again. The evga gou`s had a very nice layer of pasta applied, enough to touch the entire surface but not to much to say "mess!" and was consistent across several gpu`s. Ati/amd drops the ball on that aswell, some are good and some just don`t have enough paste, inconsistent. Only thing i regret of this new pc is that evga didn`t have a 2011 board, wouldn`t have mind to put another €100 on the table for it :matte-motes-silly: btw, if you really want top of the line, wait for the next generation nvidia cards, they should be available soon™ Most likely i`ll throw my 3 580 out the window for 3 of those when the water blocks become available :matte-motes-silly:
  21. Ceka, if your going to buy a laptop, go with acer or asus Every one i know that ever bought something from msi complained within days if not right after installing, i have returned 3! of their motherboards because they died within days on a default clock pc for my sis friends have returned their gpu`s cause they had a bad designed pcb and on callback, fried components on the pcb because of insuffient cooling/bad pasta. BF of my sis bought medium high end laptop from msi for €590, it died the week after and had to have it replaced, so he just got an acer instead for some extra money. msi = crap, it`s like those syfy movies they spam out :matte-motes-shocked:
  22. Don`t buy that! those are the old i7 cpu`s, not even the generation 1 sandybridge and a signle card gpu for that price, lol? 2011 socket is the way to go for that amount of money
