  1. Hi. How does the exchange rate works? And does anybody else thinks its getting too expensive to exchange lindens? Ive been withdrawing money since 2012 and now its almost 20$usd of gap between the right amount it would be/the amount after the fees are calculated. Plus the 3% over the credit processed. Who controls that, is there anything related to real life economy? It seems like everytime i withdraw im getting less money. For example, selling 70k lindens would be 280$USD, but with the fees it goes to 270$. After processing the credit it takes something around 4$usd. And on paypal the currency is even lower (i have to convert USD to my currency) which leaves me with a gap of almost 20$USD. Not that im complaining cause i dont want to pay the fees, its a service LL and Paypal provides and therefore needs to be paid. But the fees has increased a lot. It used to be 5$usd total until last year. xx
  2. thats the thing i'm finding odd i already pay taxes in my country, so i dont know why should i pay for another country too... and if i have to pay 30% to the US, it will be better if i dont even cash anything out.
  3. but once i fill and send this form to LL, will i become a US tax payer? from what i've been told, i'll even get a social security number :matte-motes-confused:
  4. Soo, i opened my email today, and found out that LL is requiring some information about me... all that ID and TAX ID Information of people who cash out. I'm not from US/Canada, and as the W8-BEN form kinda says: I'll pay 30% of every income... So that means i'll have to pay 30% of every withdrawn on SL and become a tax payer for the US?
  5. Hey! I'm a photographer on second life, and i take this job very serious cause its a way to earn an extra money on realife, and actually it helps me A LOT! I have a studio, a store and such, but lately i'm being target of scammers that steals my pics from my gallery, or some clients that simply dont pay for their pics and mutes me. If i try to ask my money, they report me for harassing.. i really dont know what to do. I could get payment upfront, but wouldnt fix my stealing problem anyways. Is there anything i can do about it? legaly? Like a copyright that is valid on SecondLife, or make my clients sign a contract, a VALID one, that i could use it against scammers? ty! xoxo
  6. I was wondering, why dont SL give us the opportunity to have lawyers or even judges, cops, in sl? i dont know, with some more powers and commitment with LL, and to help us solve some problems quickly, like scammers, copybotters. I know sounds funny and i dont know if it has been discussed already, but i think its a good idea to have some law in SL. LL solves our problems once in a life time, when they do, plus i dont buy lindens from them, that makes the support ridiculous.
