  1. well I switched my land over to Sept mode already here's a pic not as good looking as Parhelion Palou's pics but I think they look pretty good

  3. my favourite hat a few others and a ton more but this post is getting long enough
  4. mine are violet, although they're green in RL but I think the violet suits me better (with my hair and skin tone, I suit better toward the cool/blue hues)
  5. yeah I get the same, of course I do tend to compound it cause like you my avatar is based on RL me and even though I'm 34 I still have freckles and braces, add in the fact that I tend to wear my hair in pigtales a lot and I can say "I swear I'm over 18" all I want people are gonna think my avatar's underage
  6. I used this one on my old property and had no complaints about it

Now if only someone will tell those twits that shrink thier hootchie mama avis (complete with cleavage and makeup skins) and try to pass those off as child avatars that, it would make life so much easier for short adults and proper child avis alike. HAH I was doing a high school RP once and I tried out for the cheerleading squad, they said I can be on it only if I changed my shape, skin and hair to look more like "what a teenager looks like" this is the skin, shape and hair I was using this is what they demanded I use
  8. I saw a while back there was a company that basically had a 3D fabricator that made their buisiness making statue/inaction figures of your MMO avatar, WoW and SL was among their list of games they could do cant remember their name or if they still do it now though
  9. some of what I like about autumn has already been said but I'll say it again in RL, the heat starts to break no more 115 degrees, buit it's not winter so it's not quite 20 below yet, same reason I love spiring in SL setting the trees, flowers and weather on my property to autiumn makes it so picturesque in both, yeah I gotta agree with Void, I LOVE Halloween, actually for me from October 1st to Jan 1st is just one big holiday season for me, I go nuts with stuff, decorating, activities ect for October I have a ton of scary movies I love to watch with friends while pigging out on junk food in November I'm all about the Macy's thanksgiving parade, the last two years there was a sim that does an in SL version of it, last year I was able to get tons of pictures, this year my fingers are crossed that they'll bring it back and I can get video of it!

And you'd never see someone refuse to help, even if the newb in question didn't want to let you bite/to join the clan. Must be a lot more bad vamps now than there were a time ago. yeah same here, in fact I had a line I'd give every person I brought into my clan "welcome to the clan, I can teach you to hunt if you want, but we have blood dolls and tanks for a reason, we don't get into the "gotta collect em all" mentality on getting souls, rule number 1 is NEVER send a bite request without permission from who you're going to bite, if I ever hear about you sending unsolicited bites I'll kick your ass out of the clan myself" Hayley Spore wrote: Every MMO I've ever played has a training area for noobs and they simply cannot leave until they have learnd to walk, run, jump, put on some gear and kill a boar. With the exception of the last one, these should be mandatory things for new users before they are allowed to join the main grid. I love to help when I can, but it's frustrating when so many of the new users who come in turn out like this: - Me: Hi, Welcome to Second Life How are you? - Them: Sex? - Me: No. - Them: *Sends friend request* They can learn to send friend requests and ask for sex but they can't walk or dress themselves. That said, some of my best friends on SL are only ten days to a month old Those are the ones who can think for themselves and only ask to be pointed in the right direction, not hand-held every step of the way. People love to help those who can help themselves. oh yeah I hate those, some of them it seems 'sex' is the only word they know in english, then they send TP requests to you 12 times a day,
  11. I have a few an EMH Van dubbed the Second Base Mobile, a Bethillac Impala MK4 for cruising the streets with my homies drinking gin and juice and a street bike for those illegal street races of course now that I got a little virtual one on the way I traded them in for a SZYM Entrourage Mommy-mobile
  12. as good as it looks there's just a bit of an uncanny valleyness to it, (yeah I know they said they're not designers not artists, but still there's something about the more real something looks the less likely your mind is gonna be able to accept it as realistic) current SL graphics as is I think finds a nice balance between realistic looking and valley acceptible the one thing I would hope for this if SL enabled something like this is it frees up enough processing power that Linden Labs could impliment a way to do real time reflections in other things besides Linden Water (be able to have actual mirrors rather than mirror like objects with a greyish texture on them or a fancy camera trick)
  13. too bad build height maxes out at 4096 I'd love to go up to one of these ridiculous heights and leave all kinds of wierd outer space objects imagine if Linden Labs found a way to put a large round object at one of these heights (like several sims large) and texture it like the moon, you could have hunts or events where you have to get in a spaceship and literally fly to the moon lol
  14. this thread reminded me of an idea I had when I was watching some vids talk about the Depth of Field settings would be funny if you could hotkey a depth of field setting that's all blurry and fuzzy and set it so it switches to that setting whenever your avatar takes off their glasses
  15. guilty I've even invested in a vuzix head mounted display so I can walk around in mouselook if I could find a way to afford one and connect it to SL I'd get a full body tactile feedback suit and those virtual reality devices that simulate taste and smell (yes they have those) and just live in SL full time
  16. who wins? the guy with the gun in other words this guy http://mydisguises.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/ash-williams-evil-dead-74400.jpg
  17. I would and have, most of my friends are scattered across the globe so chat and IM is about the only way I get to spend time with them using SL is basically the next best thing to going out with them, going to movies, shopping, hanging out at IHOP at 3 in the morning talking, laughing ect my fiance lives in the UK and I in the US and because of beaurocratic red tape he can't move here and I can't move there, tried getting him into SL with the idea that we could at least have a wedding inworld and move in together that way, but just could not get him interested in SL, such is life
  18. ok those look cool, yeah I saw the triangles until I zoomed in, but my graphics card isn't the best so I leave it on low settings stuff like this is why I'm excited to see mesh and see all the stuff people will do with it
  19. I say no, I actually tried to make my avatar a realistic height of 5'7 or as I say in world "I am absolutely of legal age, it's not my fault everyone else is 8 feet tall!"
  20. Medhue Simoni wrote: I heard rumors that LL is working on this for gesture based controls, which is cool, but I think is not the best practice for SL. If 1 thinks of Kinect as replacing animations or controls, then a gesture based system might seem viable. Me, I think this is the complete opposite of what is so great about the kinect. IMHO, it should be developed for streaming motion for such things as music concert, or a play, and dancing in a club. Creating a system for people to use in their everyday SL lives is not the way to go. It will flop. well that's why the whole thing would be an optional setting or plugin, if you don't want it you don't have to turn it on ideally what I'd love to see is a way to use the Kinect to map your facial expressions and puppet your arm and hand movements while voice chatting, would make the interaction so much more personal I think
  21. I just dropped by one of the clothes shops (Jane) to see just what mesh clothes can offer me, and bought this cute dress, (a little pricey at 200L but with mesh being a new thing and all I can't fault them, it's not SUPER expensive either) holy crap! I'm a convert, seeing how this dress looks on me I am convinced that mesh, if only for what it can do for clothes, is one of the best things brought to Second Life no more tops fitting your chest skin tight (on some clothes that looks good, but not something like a baggy t-shirt or sweater or something) and no more of your legs phantoming through a prim skirt that just hangs through the chair when you sit down! I will officially only buy mesh skirts now! of course being that I'm 5 months pregnant would be nice to see them come out with mesh dresses that have a pregnant belly lol but baby steps for now
  22. found the script I was looking for thanks for the replies I'll consider this topic handled
  23. playing with item creation I figured out the settings needed to make them work the way I want no script needed and yeah no copy no mod but transferable as for the gambling thing I can put a disclaimer with each pack sold that they're not to be used for gambling purposes, granted I can't really control beyond that how people use them or SL, people will find a way to gamble in SL and RL if they really want to (hell my friends and I had a superbowl pool going) but yeah these are not made with gambling involved so anyway I guess I still need a shooting/throwing script if anyone can point me in the right location thanks
  24. hi, I run a comic and games shop in SL and came up with a great idea what would be a good addition for the shop is a pogs game for those that don't remember pogs back in the 90s they were a huge fad, you have these little collectible cardboard discs that had designs on one side and were blank on the other, you'd stack them face side down and then throw a metal disc onto the stack to scatter them whichever ones land face side up you'd win this seems like a simple game to make for SL, thing is my scripting knowledge is bupkis if anyone knows were to look I'd appreciate it I guess what I'd need is some sort of projectile script for the slammer like what's in ball throwers or weapons or the like, attach it and go into mouselook to toss the slammer for the pogs themself some sort of gravity colision physics script to make them fly when hit and a chance to flip or something any ideas will be appreciated
