  1. If the prim(s) "center" is on an adjoining or other nearby parcel, it's not technically on Tingting's parcel ("only" encroaching on it) and so can't be returned. I suspect that's what the problem is.
  2. What do you mean "not under TOS"? Have you tried contacting the owner and asking that they be (re)moved? If they refuse, file an abuse report. If it's on Linden land, you have to file a ticket. Parcel encroachment "Parcel encroachment" is our term for something that can take a few different forms: When objects from a neighbor's land overlap or overhang onto your land. Someone leaves a car or other objects on your land. Governor Linden has land nearby that is filled with litter. When objects or trees overlap onto your property, the first thing you should try is to contact your neighbor and inform them that their build or tree is overhanging onto your land. Your neighbor probably doesn't realize that they've gone over the property line, and should move or remove the overhanging items. If someone has left a car or other objects on your land, you should try the following things: Right-click it and select More > Return. Contact the object owner about removing it. You can also return objects by selecting World > About Land and clicking the Objects tab. Click Refresh List, select the Resident's name, and click Return Objects. You also have the ability to stop objects from entering your land by unchecking the Create Objects and Object Entry checkboxes for All Residents in the About Land window's Options tab. By selecting only the Group checkbox or deselecting both, an object's owner gets a message like "Can't move object 'House' to { 11.5198, 217.779, 22.3401 } in region Levenhall because the parcel does not allow objects to enter." For Governor Linden land where there doesn't appear to be any autoreturn set, please submit a support ticket informing us of the situation. If none of the above solutions work, send an abuse report by selecting Help > Report Abuse. As always, help us help you by letting us know all about it in detail.
  3. Kirstens? Be forewarned, though... I can't run it without crashing, but maybe you can... resource intensive.
  4. Maybe you're not posting your ads in the right place? Anyway, here's the relevant part of the Community Participation Guidelines that deals with advertising/promotion: Spamming, Solicitation and Advertising: Spamming is not allowed. This includes aggressive self-promotion. No advertising or promotion of specific Second Life merchants, Marketplace listings, products, or services, unless the forum area is specifically for the buying or selling of Second Life products or services, for example, a “for sale” or “wanted” forum. Do not reference other websites offering any product or service. Edit: Fixed typo, added italic.
  5. Hmmm. I started to read your reply and finished it in my head to read "but there is no dropdown box to do that." And, indeed, when I went to create a ticket (which is located here, and is where you will find the dropdown), I see that the ticket types don't quite match up. Billing in place of Billing and L$ is obvious, but there is no Request Payout via Wire Transfer. If you select Second Life and Marketplace Account balance Payout Issues, there is a link To request a payout, please visit our Process Credit page, which points to https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/process-credit.php, where there are links to PayPal and No PayPal in your country?. When I click the latter, it goes to an obsolete Wiki page and then redirects to the Account balance KB article. This may all be moot in your case, anyway, unless you expect to wire $10,000 or more? I missed this rather important bit that also appears on the same page as the text in my original response: Process credit (withdrawal) You may choose to withdraw your US dollar balance via PayPal or bank wire. Note:You should only use the bank wire option under the following circumstances:PayPal will not permit payments to your country. You are expecting payment of $10,000 or more.
  6. Even after you've been age-verified, which in your case probably will require a support ticket, you need to "opt in" to view mature and/or adult content. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Accessing-Adult-land-and-content/ta-p/805975#Section_.4 As to what type of ticket... Try this, from another thread (courtesy of Peewee): Unfortunately there isn`t one for specifically for this if you are a basic member so go to https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and choose one of the tickets in the account issues category & then get to the point as soon as you can in your text that you have turned 18 and been age verified but your maturity rating is stuck on General / PG. It is possible that you will get the response that "this issue is not supported for basic members", just reopen the ticket and ask that they fix it.

  8. Setting up process credit payments through a wire transfer To set up Process Credit payments through bank wire transfer: Visit the Support Portal and click Contact Support. From the Ticket Type dropdown, select Billing and L$. From the Billing Type dropdown, select Request Payout via Wire Transfer. Fill in the remaining fields. In order to send you a bank wire, we require some additional information about you. We are aware that this information is sensitive and confidential, and we protect it with the utmost confidence according to our Terms of Service and Community Standards. When you create your ticket, please provide the following: First Name Last Name Avatar Name Email Mailing Address Phone Requested amount Tax ID/SSN Bank Account Number Bank Name Bank Address Bank Contact ABA Number IBAN Number SWIFT Number Special Notes Please also send a legible scan of a photo ID, and if necessary, your business license or tax certificate What happens next? You should be aware of the following things: When the ticket is complete and submitted, we will conduct a review to determine your eligibility to receive a wire. All requests will be processed in the order received. The decision to send a wire is at our sole discretion and we make no guarantee that we will issue a wire to you. Incomplete submissions will be rejected. What's the cost? There are some costs associated with payments via wire transfer: Linden Lab will deduct a $100 processing fee for a bank wire over $10,000, in addition to any fees charged by your financial institution. In cases where PayPal does not allow payments to be sent to your location, we will deduct a 1% fee for wires sent. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Account-balance/ta-p/700015#Setting_up_process_credit_payments_through_a_wire_transfer
  9. @Hippie: Click on one, then select the Status (I think?) tab on the HUD. There's a Pet button there.
  10. Have you tried contacting the developers of those apps/asking in their forums? In the case of Pocket Metaverse, see http://www.pocketmetaverse.com/support/.
  11. This is one of the problems with voice using Phoenix that I've been experiencing. Disabling and then re-enabling voice seems to work for me.
  12. @Ossian: Doesn't appear to have been posted on the Wiki yet. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Community_Tools_User_Group
  13. You might also ask in the Role Play section of the Forum: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Role-Play/bd-p/RolePlay
  14. When it stops responding, does just waiting, and perhaps stopping other running applications, have any effect? When you hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete, I'm assuming you then select Start Task Manager? If so, are you then unable for some reason to stop the process (SecondLifeViewer.exe or whatever it's called)? If you're not running Task Manager, what are you doing when you hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete?
  15. For starters, your "copyrights" have not been violated by someone who has posted what is a conversation with you. Not everything that comes out of anyone's mouth [ETA: or keyboard!] is "copyrighted." Second, the portion of the Community Standards that deals with posting and sharing conversation logs (Section 4, Disclosure) is generally understood to mean posting or sharing WITHIN Second Life (If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me, preferably a Linden). ETA: LL may not approve of the practice, but there is probably little that they can do about it, certainly not if they do not clarify and/or amend the CS.
  16. @valerie: Hmmm. Those URLs work for me... You can get a Meeroo and have it "neutered" (transformed into a pet) :smileywink: What's a Mee-Pet Transformation? We offer a transformation service that will allow your Meeroo to become a non breeding pet, this will mean that you no longer have to buy them food, and they will not starve or run away to the wild. This is a one time use and will cost L$1500
  17. I've been having that problem, too, with Phoenix. I teleport into, say, an auction area, where the only person who is supposed to have their mic on is the auctioneer. Announcements are made about "no open mics," etc. Finally, someone will IM me and ask if I knew my mic was on. No, I didn't! I've gotten into the habit of switching my mic on and off just to make sure that it's NOT on.
  18. Frantically, I ran to catch up with them, but they were already in the next sim, and as I crossed that line, I found myself rubberbanding like there was no tomorrow.
  19. Well... ya know... Blondin, who posted that, is no longer with the Lab... or so I hear...
  20. I don't have any Meeroos. They are very cute, though; better looking than most of the breedables I've seen. I may get one (!) sometime down the road and have it "neutered" (converted to a pet that I don't have to pet or feed, and can keep in inventory if I want); I need a pet that needs looking after like I need a prim baby! These are pics of some Meeroos in the "mystical forest" that I kind of threw together (okay, so it's really mostly a prefab that I edited heavily) for some of my friends who are in the Amaretto Horse and Meeroo business: Anyone can go and pet the Meeroos there. It's through the "mystical gate" in the hedge at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pure%20One/154/185/2000 secondlife://Pure%20One/154/185/2000
  21. Last I knew, LL was moving away from server classes. However, sims with numbers greater than 2133 (example: sim2598.agni.lindenlab.com in About Land) are/were considered Class 5 (see http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Features/Rolling-Restart-for-Half-of-the-Grid-Friday-Morning-2008-05-16/ba-p/628597). Magnum, LeTigre and BlueSteel are not "classes," but Release Candidate channels. Edit: Added link.
  22. There are still some "grandfathered" sims out there, but if/when they transfer to another person, they're no longer "grandfathered" (don't qualify for "grandfathered" pricing).
  23. A standing joke among my friends is whether or not any given person "made the cut" on my list.
