  1. One buys new cards when one has used the amount of money. Prepaid cards are not sold at banks but at convenience counters in stores.
  2. When you become the CEO, make that 500 L$ please.
  3. Release a press bulletin on Easter Monday that announces that all Lindens quit their job per direct. Watch the forums burn over it.... and at the end of the day announce what special day Easter Monday really is. I love realistic\plausable April fools pranks.
  4. Use proper duct tape for repairs to hold the place together.
  5. Maybe it is a Bellisseria Birthday Discussion Automation Implant... BBDAI™ coming soon™.
  6. I read inconvenient instead of off topic. Since the whole greeting thingy is off-topic all ready. I didn't post to start a discussion, but just to show that different parts of the world are different in many ways. We show appreciation and respect trough their salaries and benifits.
  7. I live in a small town that hosts one of the two operational NATO headquarters in Europe and there is a big military airbase within a few miles, just on the German side of the German border. In my town live hundreds, if not a few thousand soldiers. But one very seldom sees one in uniform when not on duty. For safety reasons. No one will show up in their uniform, when shopping or mowing their lawn. It is strongly discouraged to do so by their superiours. On top of that. I would never thank someone out of the blue on the street or at a grocery store for the choice of their profession. That has nothing to do with lack of respect. They are all professionals out of free will and know the risk. And patriotism is not really a part of our education system. We try to stay very neutral at our schools.
  8. Certainly. If I were in such a position I would definitely volunteer to give it a try. What does one have to loose in such a situation? The only way is up than. But for playing a platform like SL and just because I'm to lazy to use a keyboard, mouse or game-pad on top of that? Not in a gazillion years.
  9. If one doesn't just pull out an existing T shirt and only recolors it, gifts are more extra work than extra income, I can assure you that much. Especially if you have nothing on offer surrounding the gift like at a Shop and Hop for instance. It was just an attempt of me to be nice (for once) but it feels like I shot myself in the foot with this, if i read how some people reacted in that thread.
  10. Peeve: I've entered a few gifts for the event because someone invited me out of the blue to do so for Bellisseria's fifth birthday. Let me tell you, it was the first time I am invited personally to participate somewhere and as far as I'm concerned it will be the last time I will accept such a personal invitation. Some people (in that thread that is just locked) make you feel guilty that one accepts to create and offer some gifts at an event. I'm done with that self importance charade by some. If somebody wants something from me from now on in SL, they can buy it in my store.
  11. I decide: No. I still have trouble with the 5G connection with Bill Gates in my arms, thanks to the Corona jabs. That guy keeps dabbling and dabbling about apples or something. 🙀
  12. Off topic: It would be useful for my RL socks too.
  13. Just consider the problems as "working as intended™"
  14. That would be handy to manage the SL inventory.
  15. I'm too busy hunting for freebies and shopping at 60 L$ events to organize something so trivial as a party for the commons. Just the thought that I would have to do all that work. Really. I only want to stir my Royal Martini with my Royal Martini spoon. That's more than enough work. Mind you, I have to wave from the balcony of my Royal Castle in Newbrooke too every Monday, starting April 1.
  16. Yes, but they are totally unofficial. I could claim to be the king of Bellisseria and would have the same status as BBB. So please address me as Royal Highness from now on. I will start a group for the royal court members soon™. Starting April 1 I will be waving every Monday on my balcony to my loyal Bellisserian nationals.
  17. LL and the Moles already run several events every year. And there are more than this Birthday event that they only support with some land, advise and if needed a helping hand. Lindens and Moles are payed functions. So them organizing such extra events is costly for the Lab. Volunteers running the show is financially a much cheaper solution for the Lab I guess, especially for smaller events like this upcoming one.
  18. I think that this kind of threads likely make, that no one has any fun or stamina left to organize an anniversary in the future.
  19. I even have a far more exclusive group. Only for me and my alt. Of course no one can join. Even the name of the group is top secret!!! Just saying.
  20. My mother loved to puzzle with them. Me not so much to be honest. But it can be very relaxing if one has the space to let it rest every now and then for days or weeks.
  21. Bellisseria is quite big but 99% is totally boring to explore IMHO. People are even excited when a railroad track can be found next to their back yard. Go figure. It is one big suburbia with here and there a landmark. It has an important purpose though: Cater people who want to live somewhere quietly and not to expensive. It gives you a nice house and relatively a lot of LI to decorate. It is far to big to even try to shape it into one community. Too many people from too many timezones with too many different expectations and use of Second Life. And now it even shows that there are group wars going on over shaping the communitie. \o/
