  1. LL has always been on the messy side. I don't see that changing much. It's always been hit or miss. We've been lucky no one has sunk the battleship yet.
  2. It may not have anything to do with this but just a couple of days ago for some strange reason Maitraya sent me a copy of the Lara body... twice... without me having requested it. It was not a new version, not an update. It was the exact same one I have had for almost a year. And it was redelivered twice without having requested it. It may not be an issue on LL/Tilia's end. It may be something in between.
  3. Since a few seem to have hidden cams in my little office space and can read my mind I figured I'd toss it in there for good measure.
  4. I didn't dump inventory when mesh bodies hit the grid. I won't be dumping inventory when BoM fully hits. Others may not have a problem with wasting money, I do. Wasting money, food and resources are all problems for me.
  5. CC doesn't match lip movement on SL avatars... which renders YouTube's CC useless since half the words are wrong. That means I'm wasting my time trying to watch. Besides, her eyeliner is hanging down over her eyeballs and that is just creepy. Looks like she used the eyeliner pencil on her eyeballs. *shudders* I still chatlub Strawberry though.
  6. An ellipsis is a series of dots (typically three, such as "…") that usually indicates an intentional omission of a word, sentence, or whole section from a text without altering its original meaning. There are legitimate uses for ellipses. It's quite common in several languages besides English. French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Polish and Russian. So while it might bother you, it is proper usage.
  7. Even some content creators don't understand LL's brand of English. Weird thing is, I understood them better 5 years ago than I do now. *shrugs* I've come to expect less from LL over the years than what I used to.
  8. Um... I don't use Omega as far as I know... I've never gotten the system or whatever. Sometimes I do stick with the older versions as long as I can, sometimes not. Depends on the reason for updating. I'm more of a version skipper. Some programs I skip odd numbered versions, others the even numbered. I seem to have fewer problems than most that way.
  9. I can wait. So what you're saying is at some point I'll have to update the Lara when Maitreya comes out with BoM, correct? Which is fine. As long as I have a choice as to whether I use it or not. Some days I may want to, others days I may not. Kind of like how we now have a choice between the mesh body and the system body.
  10. I get you. Any textures of mine that I pass on are always no trans. If I bought them in SL they are no trans and possibly no mod depending on the license. No trans is sufficient to keep them from being able to save it to their hard drive unless they use another well known method I won't say in case they don't know. I'm not going to make it easy for them, that's for sure.
  11. Sorry. You just aren't making sense to me. Probably just me. No worries. I'll either sort it out or I won't. Nothing on you. Sometimes my brain just refuses to brain.
  12. Take a look at VISTA's Zoe head. It's what I've been using and no fat lips or pin sharp cheeks. I know they released another one after Zoe not too long ago but I've haven't looked at it. Happy with the Zoe.
  13. Where were you when mesh clothing first hit the grid? How could you have missed the huge uproar over women having to constantly change their shapes to fit the early mesh clothing? Rather than being able to resize the clothing we had to resize our system bodies! It went on for months, years even, until rigged mesh.
  14. I have very little in the way of appliers. I tend to avoid clothing that uses them. Not that I mind using them, I just don't have much in the way of use for them. A shirt under a jacket that didn't come with a shirt and is cut too low in front for my taste, some colored leggings, tintable undies... that's about it. I am kind of looking forward to being able to wear some of my older stuff that is all layers or partial layers/partial mesh. LIke a couple of dresses from PixelDolls.
  15. I know what BoM is... I just want to know if it's going to be something I have no choice in dealing with.
  16. Well... I do know that next FS release I'm going to have to update because this version is the next in line to be blocked so my question still stands. For now.
  17. I'm on FS 5.1.7 still ... avatars look fine to me. What I want to know is am I going to have to mess with learning this BoM stuff or can I just go about my merry little way as I am and not change anything?
  18. /me scratches her own head at the abrupt departure of Bree after observing Bree typing an answer out yet never hitting enter... "I wonder what that was all about."
  19. What I was taught wasn't the same thing as vocal fry. I was taught to use the same pitch at a lower register but no lower than one octave below your normal speaking voice. Vocal fry is dropping it as low as it will go. And then some. Vocal fry is an extreme. What I was taught is not.
  20. No, from the mouth of my California sister in law. Made me cringe every time she opened her maw.
  21. Oh. That ridiculous way of speaking. It all started with the *bleepity bleep bleep* Valley Girls. Which is why I never really got along with one of my sisters-in-law. I mean, like, grodie to the max and gag me with a spoon. *runs away screaming and pulling out fur*
  22. I have no idea what this "upspeak" is and I took the seminar 40 years ago. The seminars weren't a new thing back then.
  23. Get a haircut and get a real job. And keep the probes to yourself.
  24. You must have never attended any of the seminars that teach women how to drop their voices by as much as a full octave in order to make their voices sound more authoritative. The change was permanent and I wish I had never learned it.
