  1. Gah, I got so close to many of them but then NO LUCK blah
  2. Caught a houseboat earlier - but I have one already and although this one was nice enough, the location wasn't that much better to abandon the one another alt had to swap out. I also hated the name of the region - Carbuncle. I mean, come on. I just could not.😋
  3. Thank you Blush! Next time I'm in world, I'll ask my husband to help me before I bug you. If we can't find it I'll reach out to you for sure! 👍
  4. I actually saw someone else's home that did something similar so I kind of figured I'd attempt it myself. I truly do NOT build, my skills are very limited although I'm slowly learning and my husband is semi-patiently helping. I haven't linked any of that back room together yet because I'm still messing around with it, figuring out the right texture dimensions for one thing. I need to get in touch with the creator of the windows, who will send me a script to make them operable (the sliding door already works). I believe it is about 10 prims altogether - and I built it around the existing back porch that is already on Blush's build. I did try to unlink that back portion of her wrap-around-porch so that I could cut down overall prims (for instance, the railings on it) but every time I did, it prevented me from being able to walk up and down the interior stairway so evidently there's something built into the build that I'm unable to see to delete, even when I highlight transparent . Mesh is beyond me completely so I just built around it 😋
  5. Thank the Lindens for the wall out front. My last house had really crummy Linden landscaping; it has picket fencing which I like but it was oddly placed plus the flowers they put down were bright pink which I disliked. This design is far superior including the flowering bushes, which are more muted colors. I can work with these for all seasons (except winter, of course).
  6. I had the same problem when I first started using it. I found it very small, and closed off. Adding the porch dramatically improved the overall appearance. I built a small extra room off the back area, I'm using that as my kitchen. I'm a crappy builder but for now it's working and eventually when I have time I'll learn to put it together properly. I've recolored the ceiling of the porch, the porch floor and added my own interior wood flooring. I've also the Pro Paint interior system which has really been a huge help for decorating and tying color schemes in with each other room to room. I'm putting some finishing touches on the house now, have about 90 prims left to finish off the bedroom & upper hallway and add some clutter around so I *think* I'll be ok. I agree this this house is going to make a fantastic Halloween home. I've begun doing an autumn theme and look forward to switching over to full blown spookiness in October! Here's some current pix in the interim. Probably will be posting final photos later today or in the next couple of days.
  7. Yes most likely in Oldridge. I've been exploring a LOT. I walk around the neighborhoods quite a bit. G and I have separate homes in SL, as we always have. We have such different decorating styles there'd be no point in even trying to share a house. Let alone, between all our alts... Right now, I have the houseboat in Isthill and now a house in Edger. The one I had near Oldridge I gave up - the current one is a nicer property overall. I have one more alt that's premium - I keep hoping I'll get luckly and catch a house with sandy terrain so I can round out my decorating styles 😋 If that works out I'll probably give up the private land I've been paying for, it's been many years of happiness and many thousands of prims to play with but I'm really enjoying Bellisseria; it's gotten me out of the bubble I'd been in for a long time, similar to a lot of us oldbies that have gotten a bit complacent. I also have somewhat limited time inworld, long days between commuting to work, being there and back again so I like to make the most of my time when I am here. Bella has renewed my interest ten-fold, for sure. Next time Ghosty is spinning, come as yourselves! We'd love to see you and know who you guys are next time!
  8. First, hello! It's been a long time since I've seen you and Cee around, please tell him G and I send our best regards! Second, you did a wonderful job for someone who claims to have no design skills, so I think you were being modest to say the least. Gorgeous job. The houseboats can be so challenging and you've done a terrific job. I love everything about this. Well done! PS: Where did you get the mermaid on the outside? I have a slew of mermaid items but I've never seen that one.
  9. Nope - all's quiet. Just everyone chatting about normal stuff
  10. I'd just derender/ban that long pier. What a great view beyond. So picturesque. I love where my houseboat is because it's on open water and really great for taking my sailboat out but not such a wonderful view - faces other houseboats rear and on one side where all the windows are. I only keep it because of the great sailing ability and I know if I give it up I'll probably never get anything as good for that use again
  11. Yes, exactly lol But, it's gotten to a point where the regulars can kind of guess when they are getting ready to release based on the banter - or so it seems.
  12. I have my alt logged in world - nothing happening yet although some of the moles have been chit chatting in group
  13. I just released a home in Foxbridge. A block up from small beach area, up a hill, corner lot. Not a bad location but I had gotten a home in Edgar which I preferred (for now) Good luck if anyone get this one. Nice neighbor next door too.
  14. I always attempt to find the best looking lowest prim item of what I need. I happen to already have an enormous inventory to choose from. So, I'll search for "bed" for instance and then look at key words to find the type I want and rez them out until I find the lowest prim one that fits the style I need. I continuously am swapping out pieces to reduce my prims. Much like Marianne I will use a piece if it's a higher prim count *if* it has so many collective pieces in it that it functions better than rezzing out separate items; like I have a coffee cart that has books, mugs, coffee pot, signs, etc and you get so much decor use out of it that it's worth the prim count (can't remember what it is off hand) because it's still way lower than all similar types used separately. I'm always on the look out for lower prim items while shopping too. Again, I'm always swapping out for lower prim but I will not sacrifice for appearance. If I absolutely LOVE something I will keep use, and make a compromise elsewhere. My kitchens tend to be much lower prim than many. The one I originally used in my houseboat was only something like 6-8 prims altogether. I think the current one is no more than 10 or so. I did a mix and match look in that home to achieve it. In the house, that's not quite as easy but I've been able to get it to around 15 or so prims before decor. In the end I try to keep around 50 prims open give or take. I start to get anxious once I hit the 80 mark because I usually know the house isn't quite done at that point; will still need a few more clutter pieces such as artwork, vases, etc to look more lived in and it's amazing how fast that adds up. My biggest problem is reigning in my landscaping. I like lush flower beds and before I know it I can easily have 50 prims down on flowers alone. That's a rough one to deal with!
  15. Rant away. I remember some years back there was even controversy over a nude photo done of a women that had a double mastectomy. Because, naked female torso 🙄
  16. Congratulations to everyone that snagged a home today! 😊
  17. Haha I think I may have gotten this one. If it is, I like it. I have a houseboat already, and another one in Foxbridge that's a few blocks off the water. I like this location better than better than the one in Foxbridge; it's much more secluded and at least has a view of the canal to it. I'll keep this one for sure; debating about releasing the one in Foxbridge. Still hoping I can snag a home closer to the water at some point.
  18. Got one in Edgar - I think I'm keeping this one for now. The yard backs up onto the canal, and it's a corner, decent landscaping there too. On a cul-de-sac so it feels pretty private. It isn't the beach but I'm happy!
  19. Is your husband in SL? One good thing about having a partner here too is they never get annoyed by those kind of things LOL. Mine (Ghosty) and I conversely, completely understand when each of us has some kind of SL related "crisis" that must be attended to 😋
