  1. Yep that was it! I hoped I was quick enough for Badger Beach but hopefully something later today will wind up being good too! Just want sand. Can be 1/2 sand, across the street is acceptable too. But full preferable (hint hint to the Linden Gods 🙌)
  2. Tried! Got something in the middle of some nowhere region and tossed it back in seconds 😋
  3. My malt is going to release his home in Badger Beach in about 5 minutes if anyone is interested. The back yard faces the water - with some strategic de-rendering you will be able to have a view from the Winchester upper balcony. I like it, but going to keep trying for something closer to the water and since it's likely Lostbell will come up today I'll try my luck again. Or, possibly another houseboat as Tusktooth looks really nice, and it actually may improve on the houseboat location I already have so I'd consider upgrading that one. Right now he's the last alt that I'm working on finding a home for and I just feel like I'm settling for the Badger house. Someone else will be really happy with it.
  4. This is fantastic. One of the reasons I've thrown back homes is poor front entrances. You know, basic front walkway, those horrid arborvitae which are placed with no thought in mind and block views. The house I kept on my main avatar has a lovely walkway, on an angled cul de sac with no other home really visible from it. And although not my preferred ultimate spot the landscaping was so well done overall that I wouldn't think of getting rid of it. The house my malt has now tho near the beach has a basic front entry and it's the one thing I dislike about it. I'm going to play for a while and see if I come up with some kind of interesting plan for it to make it feel more interesting. Not throwing it back quite yet - but I'm not entirely sold on it the more I look at it.
  5. I have many of the add-ons but right now I'll concentrate on my houseboat. I have the Windlass - have been using it since when I got the boat. I've changed add-ons a couple of times but currently have the pixelWISE_Windlass Room & Multi story Rooftop add-on which creates a nice upper level bedroom area along with a staircase to 2nd level upper deck and an arbor over the 1st deck. Although somewhat primmy - I've been very good about finding low prim really lovely pieces for the rest of the home and so have been able to furnish it quite well and even fit in a sail boat and swimming pool. The pool is from What Next called the Seaclose and is considered an add-on also.
  6. I have plenty of builds I can rip apart. My go-to is from L2 Studio (Lindini2 Lane). Her's are quite easy to unlink and put together again and I like her work. Maybe I'll mess around with a few of those - plenty of the houses have outside deck areas perhaps one will fit as is.
  7. Which veranda are you using there? My malt got a house a block off from the beach. Keeping it for now as it's close *enough* and the back does face the water but I like the idea of that front upper deck for the front too. I was going to tackle the Adams for a change since I haven't used either of the 1 story houses yet but I really want the view so I need 2 stories somewhere. I'd seen someone else use the Bunny Creek Rear Deck, with another one stacked over it which was pulled apart and they added stairs to access the top; worked rather nicely. The look reminded me of beach homes on the New Jersey shore, however, for the life of me I'm not able to unlink the darn thing even though it says it's modify/copy. I'm sure it was me - was trying late last night and I'm just not a evening person so will try again today or ask Ghosty for help. I have more pools in my inventory than I can count and if I use the Adams I'll also have a lot more room for one than if I use the Winchester. But may resort to using it anyway because it's my favorite (although I did eventually learn to love the Continental once added onto the back of it).
  8. Ok now we're getting closer! Badger Beach, not ON the beach but 2 rows up AND back of the house faces the beach so if I use the Winchester with the balcony I'll have a decent view of the ocean once I ban/derender all the trees. I'm good with this. I can even derender bushes on the ground and have a decent view. Not too shabby. Will keep this one for sure.
  9. My husband suggested covering up the base - I had forgotten about it. That looks fantastic. And the awning is lovely also. Simple and feels right for the size and look of the home. I thought about an outdoor kitchen originally and seeing it under a covering makes sense now. Love this. PS: Really nice spot you have there too!
  10. No harm (no fowl 😄) Don't go. It's fine. We good!
  11. Heh, I don't drink anymore but I'll be happy to smoke til I drop 🚬🍃💫
  12. Love this. Funny thing is when I first looked at it, I thought all the sunflowers were a group of martians. And, that worked for me too
  13. I lived in Florida for a few years. It is a prerequisite to have pink plastic flamingos on your front yard.👍
  14. The only reason I have no chickens is I don't have enough prims left. FYI - "trashy" - to respond since I have a feeling this was directed at me using the word...is a decor term in this instance. Was not an implication that all people/trailers are trashy. And for that matter what's trash to one is a found treasure to another. I could have used retro, vintage, tacky too. Pretty much all the same as far as I'm concerned and I think most of us here would understand exactly the look I meant instantly. PS: SL is still a virtual world last time I checked. So ummm all make believe trash anyway. /huffs off to roll a fat one, shake out her hair rollers, tease up her bleached hair and shake a tail feather next door to play mahjongg with the gals and gossip the night away about the men folk Anyone got a lighter?
  15. Thanks! I actually started a few times since I had it. I tried really hard to get in the spirit of "trashy" trailer park at first but honestly couldn't live with it. Attempted several other of the models and although a couple of others I felt were doable, none felt "home" enough to me other than this one. And even so, still had a rough time with it. Usually I complain there isn't enough windows but here, honestly, in this case one less somewhere would have made it much easier. Or if my building skills were even 1/2 good - building a wall up to the ceiling with those angles (or curves as the case may be) are way beyond my capabilities. Surprised that the 175 prims wasn't as much as an issue as I thought it might be though. If I ditch that deck (I'm positive I can find another one that I'll be happy with) I'll be able to recoup at least 20 prims which will easily allow me to finish it off the way I'd like to. Can't wait to see yours - I'm always wowed by the work you do too!
  16. Weeee! Finally had some time to work on my home. Decided to keep it relatively simple. Could not see myself living in an airbus or anything similar so I chose the one that looked most like a house of course. Still, challenging. I'm down to about 15 prims LOL. But, that's also because I rezzed a huge deck that I LOVE LOVE LOVE and am loathe to not use. Until I find another one that will serve the same purpose I'm keeping it up. It's like 25 prims sized down 🙄 so I have an incentive to find one that isn't so excessive - but for now it stays as otherwise I'm pretty happy with everything as is other than I'd like to add a few more things like a kitchen table/chairs (duh!) and some more kitchen clutter. I had bought a front porch add-on from the marketplace. It was *ok* enough but the creator needs to tweak it because he tried to hide the wheels on the trailer (good enough) but...didn't think hard enough how doing that would impact the banister at the front door entry. Even when you edit linked and muck around with stretching individually it just doesn't come together well. So buyer - beware. If you don't mind having the banister partially sitting below the deck than perhaps this add-on will be sufficient. I'm sure I could have found something to hide it - maybe by some landscaping like a potted plant, whatever, but since it was 12 prims and I was running low at that point I figured it didn't cost that much ($199L) and I'd just hold onto it and hope that the creator realizes the mistake and sends an update eventually. The only changes I personally made were adding in my own flooring and extending the flooring on the upper area to just make one step down so that space had more floor area for better furniture placement. I toyed with trying to do a small bathroom and then was like, nah. If I can get back some prims down the road maybe I'll do an outdoor shower/privy sort of thing. The interior is really just too small to bother squeezing in even a powder room let alone a full bathroom. I do look forward to seeing who comes up with an add on for this model; perhaps adding another room to the side of as an enclosed deck...builders? Yes? Anyone? 👍 Anyway here's some pix
  17. Good morning, or afternoon, or evening as the case may be! I've created a Flickr group for the camper/trailers! Please continue to post your fab photos here but if you're on Flickr it would be fantastic if you'd share them in the group also as many SL member don't frequent the forums (nice alliteration in this sentence, yes?) https://www.flickr.com/groups/bellisseriawildernessliving/ There's no posting limit for the group itself (I HATE groups that do that) but only 2 a day so that I don't get overwhelmed pushing things through as I'm currently the only admin. Group is not only for showing your interior decor and landscaping but also for explorations in the region. As long as it's PG rated you're good to go!
  18. Seriously - this is why I"m getting nothing done 🤣
  19. I'm debating about keeping it. It's not a bad spot at all but at this point I have 3 properties that I'm really happy with and this one isn't quite meeting that mark for me. I love where my house is - on a wooded cul de sac an even though it's quite inland on the continent the privacy factor really appeals to me enormously - the Moles did a great job with the landscaping around it, even the way the walkway curves towards it and the small canal it overlooks is pretty perfect. Then, I have a houseboat secured early in one of the first releases on open water, with good views so that I won't give up. And the camper/trailer lot I just got overlooks a lake with a waterfall and also has a good amount of privacy so that is a keeper. The male alt is my last one that was premium so he's the one I'm ditching houses with now. I keep hoping - as others are too I see - of getting a beach house. That's the goal. Or across the street overlooking the open water would be fine too. Just want unobstructed front seat views that isn't a houseboat. So yea, probably will throw this one back now that I talked myself around it LOL
  20. Well my male alt tried for the Deer Pass and didn't get Rae's but evidently someone's..or a new one, not sure. It's on the canal. Maybe I'll hold onto it for a couple of days. Was this today's release? I didn't really notice if one happened or not.
