  1. A Delight -- my sculpting is getting quite good in Blender! Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, and I am sculpting him:
  2. And a good follow up question would be why some enjoy being annoyed since after all, being easily annoyed is a choice. How do you decide the degree to which another should be annoyed? This would have to be based on your assessment of reality, and why should your beliefs be the default?
  3. are you new here? I would like an explanation from Paul as to why he finds pleasure in annoying other people.
  4. Yeah I just don't buy no-mod furniture anymore. There's such a great selection at cheap prices these days, so no need to buy no-mod or bad-looking fake shadows.
  5. Why would you enjoy doing something that annoys another?

  7. on the other hand, regarding the definition of 'stalking': 1. pursue or approach stealthily. "a cat stalking a bird" 2. harass or persecute (someone) with unwanted and obsessive attention. "for five years she was stalked by a man who would taunt and threaten her"
  8. That could be, but I wouldn't think of that as necessarily stalking someone - it seems to me like that's a trial and error situation if you're looking for a specific person. Hmmm, yeah, maybe she just means she's unwillingly a part of a group that is being targeted.
  9. The owl and the moth were my messengers at the monthly Totem celebration:
  10. Perhaps they are going to crowded shopping events and scanning the land for anybody that might be on their list. I rarely encountered this until I started attending these shopping events in recent months, and is why I'm suspecting this might be what's going on.
  11. yeah I was trying to shop the other day and this woman in the pic kept pushing herself into me, making it difficult to shop. It's annoying, I get it. Unfortunately not much we can do with these isolated incidents
  12. It's not just the griefers. I'm not impressed by the level of conversation in general in "general". I know, it must be hard when people talk about something besides kinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pokes u ;0
  13. It's on the sim of Satori every Saturday at noon...so starts in a couple hours Is this your name in SL? I can drop a LM on you..
  14. Chores caught up, kitties taken care of....ready to sing mantras, do Kirtan dancing, and tweak a landscape! yayyyyy
  15. Griefers go where they imagine they're causing the most disruption, often via pushing the boundaries in a sexual manner, and so G-rated sims would be optimal for them.
  16. Like maybe baskets to bring the food in from the garden? That sounds wonderful. Yes, this "bag prejudice" has to end. Definitely a pet-peeve and a worthy cause to fight against. Making protest signs as we speak.
  17. Nah, a friend saw somebody who had that beat, some "creep" who was hanging about in a store that only sells women's lingerie, wearing a scripted "endless loop guitar music" guitar attachment, and IIM'ing every woman who TP'd in. haha...the innovation of griefers astounds! At this self-actualization/spiritual sim the griefers come in as demons/devils/dark angels to disrupt. At a lesbian/women's sim the griefers come in as 'apparent women' passing nude pics of women to dancers and hitting on them.
  18. lol I'll try to remember! but don't feel too bad....Bagnu sounds kind of India-like and I love Yoga. It's just that in English it's associated with bags and I guess people think bags are bad somehow????? I mean imagine a life without grocery bags, and food bags, and bags to carry all our goodies in! but seriously, yes I will try to remember....SANDOR
  19. Well I'd have to study The Love Machine more to know what I think of it -- likely I'd like and agree with some aspects while questioning whether others are effective. One thing I do know is that corporations typically treat their employees like slaves and try to milk everything they can from them in the name of profit. So far, what I've read about The Love Machine is that they're trying to give some of the power back to the employees, and so in that regard it's a good thing! Some people can't fathom not working without a boss beating them down from the top. I have to admit, when I was first hired on by a company creating projects for (usually) outside corporations within 2nd life it was very strange to me -- they didn't require that I work certain hours, but instead I was just to come in and work however many hours I wanted each week. It freaked me out, really. My first thought was that they might think I didn't 'do enough' and so they'd think I didn't put in enough hours. I imagine some might feel the opposite and do as little as possible and just rake in the cash. But...by structuring their company in this way what it really did was bring in those who were really inspired....who who did the 'work' because they loved it and not because they only cared about earning money. Enough money was paid so an employee could survive okay, and the rest was up to them. * I believe there are some studies showing that when employees are happy they work harder and actually increase profits for the company. I take your point that it could be true if it really worked then more companies would be doing it, but it's more likely we've gotten so accustomed to structuring the workplace in these abusive ways that we don't know how to change this.
  20. I like this too: Step 3: Let employees rate you anonymously. Few CEOs have the guts to find out what their employees really think of them. But for a company to succeed, its employees must trust and believe in the direction of the company's leadership. "Normaly a board evaluates a CEO, but if you have enough guts, give the CEO a year, then give a survey." he says. The question he asked his employees was a simple none, with only a Yes or No checkbox: Would you rather get a new CEO or keep the same one? "I'll never forget that one," he says.
  21. Hmmm...I like this part of The Love Machine: Step 2: Let employees decide who gets bonuses. One year, Rosedale decided to change up how bonuses work. He gave each employee $1,000, and told them to give it to who they thought deserved it. They could give half to their boss, half to their friend—it didn't matter. The only stipulation was that the employee could keep none of it for him or herself. "Two things happen," Rosedale says. " First, a number of people who do heroic work in the trenches, they show up in the top 10—which is empowering. Second and most importantly, think about the culture impact. Management is absolved of performance review and can actually focus on leadership."
  22. @Nalates Urriahgave me a useful tip. I turn on area search, add a part of the "flower's" name, and walk around. I usually find what I'm looking for fairly quickly, then zoom in, and buy it. But Bagnu...then I couldn't come and whine in the pet peeve thread!!!!!!
