  1. I started to use it again a couple of weeks ago, still a noob @porkygorky
  2. Asha Eerie wrote: Does anyone find listing enhancements useful? I was using listing enhancements allot in Nov and Dec with very good effect. Then something changed, literally overnight and I was getting allot less sales from them. They suddenly went from being a very good investment to being a waste of money. Not sure how useful they are currently.
  3. If you use other viewers there could be a conflict. Some viewers share the same cache folder which can cause issues. Go in and manually clear your cache folder, see if that allows you to launch the viewer.
  4. Sometimes items are delivered within their own folder in you inventory. Other times items are delivered directly into your 'objects' folder. Sort your inventory by date, that will make it easier for you double check. Also check your trash folder just in case. If i is still not there send a IM and notecard to the merchant explaining your issue and ask them to replace the item.
  5. How do I access past threads from the old Jive forums?
  6. I use Phoenix to build as it offers more functionality. Time is money for me when building in SL and Phoenix is a much more efficient building tool compared to v2 and marginally better than any other v1.x viewer I've used. I use V2 for all non building related activities, lots of my customers use V2 so I need to know it inside out to support them.
  7. Hmm, not sure faster take downs are an adequate response. Firstly people can just counter file which result in LL washing their hands of the issue. Secondly, so much of the content is ripped and taken to 3rd party grids. If LL are going to get serious about protecting our IP rights then I think something more drastic needs to be done rather than just speeding up an already flawed DMCA process.
  8. So as I am sure allot of you know, a certain adult entrepreneur had some interesting things to say whilst being interviewed this past week. Check out this article for a quick catch up. http://tinyurl.com/6ka5zru So what are your thoughts on this? How do you anticipate LL living up to this commitment to improve content protection?
  9. I thought it was really cool when TRU added the search kiosks in the centre of their store, it meant you could search through tens of thousands of textures from one spot. Then they set up the website which made searching even faster, you could find a texture pack on the website then get a direct SLURL to the relevant texture pack in-world. 2 great solutions to combat the lag that is generally present in any large texture store.
  10. I assume you mean keyboard shortcuts so I will paste some in that I found in a notecard today whilst cleaning my inv. B = Build Mode Ctrl+1 = Focus Ctrl+2 = Move Ctrl+3 - Edit Ctrl+4 = Create Ctrl+5 = Land Shift and Drag Copy object in edit Ctrl+Z = Undo (once while in edit) Ctrl+L = Link (selected objects in edit) Ctrl+Shift+L = Unlink (selected objects in edit) Ctrl+U = Upload Image Ctrl+Shift+3 = Texture Console Ctrl+Alt+T = Highlight Transparent
  11. I am surprised I have an honored rank. I would have thought "annoying" would be more suitable rank considering how many people I have pissed off over the years on the old forum, and the older than old forum.
  12. Ann Otoole wrote: In my opinion... There are issues that have a much farther reaching impact than forum badges to worry about. I would rather put my energy on community activism and organizing for issues that have actual importance to the success of the entire platform. Like Privacy and things like Jira voting (albeit a lost cause). Most of us are capable of focusing on more than one issue at a time. Those people on the lowest rank seem to have restricted accessibility. You may not think this is important or relevant but I am sure they do.
  13. Wow don't see Apotheus Silverman on the forums everyday. /me bows down.....were not worthy....were not worthy :smileyvery-happy:
  14. Thanks Suella, this saved me allot of time in working it out for myself. You are well worthy of your Advisor rank
  15. LOL, I learnt recently that the Americans havn't actually corrupted the English language as much as is generally thought. In fact American English is actually closer to the English that the pioneers used than proper English is today. So in the last 200 years it has been us British that have used a more evolved form of English and the Americans are using a more traditional form of english. It was on QI so if Stephen Fry says it's true then i'm not gonna argue with him.
  16. I used to get this happen allot years ago, but now I have a top of the range PC and 50 MB broadband it rarely happens at all. So I think it is down to client side lag and can be improved with better hardware and a faster connection speed.
  17. HI Falcon, Can't you even give us a ball park release date? We won't hold you to it. What do you tell your boss when he asks you when Mesh is going to be released? Surely you don't just evade the question?
  18. Although I do not agree with the privacy infringement that RZ presented, Linden Labs allowed RZ to be distributed and used and Linden have now banned RZ. If anyone is responsible for refunding RZ customers their money then it is LL.
  19. I don't understand what the rank "Honored" means. Am I meant to be honored that I have been ranked? Are others meant to be honored that they get to read the dribble I post. What exactly does "honored" means in regards to a forum rank. Maybe an advisor could advise me on this?
  20. So have you checked the permissions on all the textures you used when creating this item, including the box?
  21. It's kind of irrelivant what perms your box has. Its the perms of the content within the box that matters. Even so, permissions wont stop the items from showing up in your inv on SLM. If I was in your position right now I would literally start again. Delete all my magic boxes, get a fresh MB from SLM and put 1 item in it and sync to the marketplace as a test. The problems you are having are not normal.
  22. There are a number of things that would cause this. 1. You having something in the contents of one of the prims that is no transfer (like a script or texture or something) 2.. One of the textures you used is no transfer. 3. One of the prims was not made by you which has corrupted the linkset. This has happened to me a few times. I purchased some full perm flagstones plus sculpt maps from someone. Rather than using the maps to make my own flagstones I used the full perm sample version I was given . I linked it onto my garden and took it into my inventory. Suddenly the whole thing became no transfer. Non of it was logical. Even when I rezzed it and de-linked it I could not get any of the prims to return to full perm. Had to rebuild the whole thing again.
  23. That sounds really cool! I was commissioned to build a gallery for a German photographer in 2007 and after much discussion we decided on a round build. The build had a diameter of 128 metres and only 1 storey high. Inside there were 4 more round walls, almost like a doughnut within a doughnut within a doughnut each getting smaller as you got to the centre. So the end result was seemingly endless curved corridors with photographs spaced every 10 metres. In the centre there was a nice round 30m diameter room where we set up an indoor garden with an original Starax piece in the centre. It really did work well. I started on a similar design for IBM a year later but they cancelled the project so I never got to improve upon it. Drop me a LM or put an announcement in this thread when you are open, I would like to visit!
  24. Pamela Galli wrote: Oh I imagine you won't be the only one. On SL Exchange we had a thread where we critiqued each others' siggys, so we all pretty much had them. But now I see mine has the bottom sliced off of it. I remember having a 2 day argument with you about sig spamming. I shall create some sig spam tomorrow and invite you to call me a hypocrite if you so desire. :smileytongue:

Ever since the new GSA was rolled out last spring I seem to have been screwed over with every update, the last time being December last year. Thankfully I seemed to have survived this time with little impact.
