The Gor comunity is huge (or used to be). Even though, LL never made a space for them. There are dozens of sims rented by Goreans to play their roleplay, all paid by the the RPers. If LL would reserve part for free combats, I can imagine people of IIWW attacking medieval armys, and than tribes of infians killing Luke Skywalk, and so. A good RP need rules, that means that it cannot open to all, just for those who accept tat particular rules - this can only be reached in private sims.

I think in a possible work around, but didn't tested it yet (I'll have to pay my premium fee next month) Today, the best offer to buy is L$257/US$1,00, with 109 million dollars. If one put an offer to buy for 258 L$/US$, will be charged for that, but the order will not be filled in the near future (possibly never). After the order is there, go to "Transaction History", and cancel it. I think that the dollars will go to your balance, staying there to pay your fees. The part of being PIOF to have a MP store, is a thing that can be discusted, although I am not particularly for this. Maybe, a user can only be in MP after, say, 3 months of age, wouldn't be so easy to, after caught, simply make another disposable account and put the store back on. All those things can reduce the facility of pirating, with a limited impact on innocent ones, instead of a hard proihibition of anything that was being proposed here and in other threads.

What victory? As already pointed, it would just make things a little harder for the copyers and would ruin SL for many innocent people.

This would hurt many innocent people that cannot, for any reason, put payment info in their account. Just to illustrate, in Brazil the majority of credit cards are notinternational, they are valid only in Brazil. Those people rely in buying L$ from friends or using third part sellers, and would be second-clas residents if these measures were implemented.

I really have a hard time trying to understand that kind of fuzz. If I have to contact a inknown people in SL, after finding their profile, the first thing I do is to read it. Many times there is a line saying "if you need to contact me, please do via...". If I do want a respionse from them, the best to do is following what they want. If they don't have a preferred method in profile, it's not my fault.

Yep! I still have land in mainland, but since I became adicted to slsailing, I bought a sea-side plot, where I can build my boats, and start from there - these plots still have a high value - sea-side, to a navigable sea - mine is a 1020 sq m (1024 for 2 premium accounts, mor 10% for group owned land) in Gulf of Moles, and I paid 17 th for it, and my old plot inland, instead of sell it for 1 L$/sq m, I give it for free to a neighbour, to not pay double fee. P.S. seasideplots near Blake Sea can be even more expensive.

This kind of topic ever amazes me and make me think what I am doing wrong. In sl since january 2007, and inworld almost every day, and was never banned from a single parcel.

I am seeing that I'm not the only one who prefers to send money before the payment day, in case of a problem that can occur in payment, having plenty of time to resolve any issue. And the wise guys in lab took this possibility from us...

I used to increase credit to pay my premium account (annual fee), just to be sure that it don't has any problem. In fact it makes no difference to me if I send the money on day 10 or on 27 - I will pay the actual bill in the same day. That way I would have many days to resolve any issue that could happens, withou hurry. But since 2007, just once I had a problem and was because I forgot to replace the credit card when the old one was out of validity

Yep. When we was talking about this, in slsailing group, there were as many people saying that had siled recently there without any problem as people that was invited to leave the area. For my part, there are many places to sail, and I prefer to have companion, even if just by sight :-)
