LL put SSA in Magnun RC and took off from LeTigre - I have no idea why they remove it from LeTigre.

From what I've heard (sorry, no fonts) some "not-so-new" routers behave poorly with HTTP textures. The same people, mostly FS helpers, say that if this solve your problem, it is time to begin to think a newer router (yeah, makes sense)

Yep, I heard this inworld too, and was thinking exactly this: does this revoke perms, or simply stop animations? In the JIRA above, it seems that it is not posible to revoke permissions.

I thin that we caught this, but you mentioned 'vulnerabilities' in the code. What vulnerabilities?

Unfortunately objects cannot have folder, just other objects or things such scripts, textures, etc.

Carlos, in Firestorm, depending of the skin you are using, the requesting animation can come in a black window, top-right or bottom-right, that soon disappear, but a chiclet remains (icon of an envelope, with a number), click the chiclet and the request comes again.

That I love in Opera - it has a built-in blocker and never had a problem with it :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:

The problem is that all SSA viewers have too the latest improvements in sl (mesh, materials, etc.). There are people with with equipment that cannot handle these features, and updating to a SSA will force them to these features as well. In fact, I have an old laptop that is way under the minimum for SL (it was already under minimum in 2007, when I joined SL). I can use it with Firestorm 4.4.2, with mesh enabled and everything else, but is slow (~5 FPS) so I do prefer to use an old Phoenix in it. In time. This is not my main computer, I mostly use it to login an alt, to adjust couples positions in animations, so I don't have a problem with it being slow, as the alt just sit and I work in my main 'puter.

Your picture: It seems to me that ia an alpha for another boot, maybe packed with this by mistake. First thing to do is asking the vendor to send you the correct alpha layer. If this fails, you can do your alpha to use with this boot, in Fotoshop or Gimp. The directions to do that can be somewhat length, so first try to contact the vendor, if this fails, ask me how to make a new layer

To me that happens too, but not in busy places. It uses to happens when I am sailing long cruises. But for sailing I like to use high draw distances (256-512 m). 1 or 2 Textures discarded is not a problem, but when it goes high, to 4-6, it is common that FS closes by itself.

Great topic, Perrie :-) I joined SL in january 2007. Never had heard about it until, in a conversation, somebody said something like "second life is just mind masturbation". One day, I was down because my marriage had just ended, crying at the corners, and remembered this. Googled it, made my account, no expections at all. Appeared in the welcome area, patiently followed the advices to shape the avatar, clothing it (yes I was borned nude and, horror, without niples!). Ok for the moment, a shape and not exactly shinning, but usable. Followed the way with exercises, I made each one of them, until reached a place with some places in a board. Clicked one at random, received a warn that once leaving that place I couldn't return. Well, cannot stay here for ever, and accepted the teleport. Rezzed in a place with many people, some walking, others just staying, a fez sitting in a fence - absolute silence... Looked at a few, some were astonishing beautiful compared with my brand new noobie appearance. In 2 or 3 tries, I was capable to sit on the fence too. Than caming around (yes, discovered how to do this too), and then moved the cam to see myself from front, sitting at the side of a wonderful avatar. Just to discover, to my horror, that I was using a mini skirt without undies! Ashamed, I quit, and returned only the next day. My first week was not much different from this, but slowly I was discovering new things... and I am in SL 'til today .
