  3. You can export dae files form sketchup and load them directly into SL. Alternatively the pro vesrion of Sketchup had an obj exporter,or there is a third party extension that works with the standard version that will export to obj. You can then import the obj files into blender and refind the mesh if necessary and export the dae files form there.
  4. Wouldn't clicking a link trigger a changed event? The user could then retrieve the url and change it to be the popup version, Of course that would trigger another chagned event, so the user would need to code the necessary logic in the changed event to deal with that so as not to end up in an endless "loop"
  5. <div style="width:100%; max-height:64px; overflow:hidden;" class="UserSignature lia-message-signature"> Caroline<BR /><A href="http://www.second-life-adventures.com/">Caroline's Noob Blog</A></div> Well it appears the nofollow tag isn't being used here, so your links have the potential to effect your site.ranking.
  6. I think it's only the detetection of whether you are in mouselook that is effected by the bug. So I wouldn't expect it to take you out of mouselook. Just the script gets confused as to wether you are or not.
  7. It will automatically be "downloaded". The items in your inventory actually only exist on the Asset Servers, what is downloaded is an index of what is in your inventory.
  8. Wonders how the autodraw works ... If it relies on MouseLook detetection then possibly related to this bug. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Server/Deploys-for-the-week-of-2014-04-14/m-p/2657998#M14311 Is the region you are testing on running the Magnum RC
  9. I don't think you'd need to worry about using llOverMyLand, as llGetAgentList can be restricted to the parcel the script is run on by using AGENT_LIST_PARCEL as the scope.
  10. Come Join DJ Sweet T for two hours of fun and awesome music, at the The Raging Storm SL's happening ROCK clubwhere there is always a special welcome waiting for you,
  11. Welcome to Linden Lab and especially Second Life., and Keep Believing
  12. We all have those demo's we've forgotten about, or just wanted tr try something different. Dig deep in your inventory and try them out for our Best in Demo event with 500Lon the board from 12-2PM at The Raging Storm Secondlife's top Rock Club with our very own DJ Sweet T spinning the tunes,
  13. If it was from an object with the same name as the AV then it wouldn't have to be on your land it could be anywhere, but there the offline IM would also tell you the owner of the object and its location. Another posibility .... have you sent out any group notices recently? I've never tried, but wonder if it's possible to reply to a group notice them via email in the same way you can with offline IM's, and if so what does the message get sent to the group or just the original sender?

  15. You could use llDetectedType to determine whether the object collided with an Avatar or Object http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlDetectedType if (llDetectedType(0) & AGENT_BY_LEGACY_NAME) { llOwnerSay(llDetectedName(0) + " is hit by slushy snowball"); }
  16. i've noticed the same. It only seems to flag offline IM's Group Notices and notifications that someone has offered you inventory seem to escape the flagging ... for now. Thanks for the tip about telling google to never mark them as spam, I'd forgotten that option.
  17. llGetRegionName() will give you the sim name so something like if (llGetRegionName() == "desired name" ){ llSay(0,"Correct Region");}else{ llSay(0,"Wrong Region");}
  18. If your seeing it in your chat window, but no one else does, then it's possible it's an IM sent using llInstantMessage in which case you won't be able to listen for it.
  19. Objects can't listen to themselves using normal listens you have to use llMessageLinked and the link_message event http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlMessageLinked
  20. World Wide Web <> The Internet It's just a protocol/application that runs over the internet along with many others (email, ftp, Second Life etc) That said, there is little argument that the World Wide Web has totally changed the way we communicate and share information
  21. If the person being teleported is going to rez the invite/teleporter as suggested by The invitation is a 3D open door that my invitees will rez Then llTeleportAgent will probably do what is required (as the invitee will be the owner of the script at that point), and has the additional benefit that only the person the "invite" object was sent to will be able to use it, there by stopping people who just happen to be nearby clicking and teleporting.
  22. Wonders if this would really be worth the investment for many merchants. Your 18 clicks cost $21.8 which equates to approx 5300L$, what click to actual purchase ratio would be required to provide an acceptable return that?. Edit: Noticed you'd already questioned the effectiveness of this in your OP
  23. Unless you are planning on selling the dispenser, then it doesn't need to be set to copy/trans You set the can set the next owner permissions to be copy/no-trans or no-copy/trans Then your object should give it to them, and their copy will only have the permissions you have set.
