  1. I can't recall the builders name, but the same person that built the SL version of the Falling Water house by Frank Lloyd Wright had created another build I just loved. It was a store but it was a giants sand castle, complete with giant beach ball and beach chair beside it. I spend hours there from time to time as the whole build was enchanting and lovely.
  2. Everyone has the right to post whatever 'unpopular' conspiracy driven drivel that comes to mind. Everyone else has the right to point and laugh. And laugh. And laugh. Much like venue owners having the right bar whatever tickles their 'for great justice' bone. And everyone else's right to not go there.
  3. Ah, okay. I didn't clock the problem you're having. It sounds like more of a viewer problem, then a 'attaches to the HuD' problem. I use Firestorm and on occasion Black Dragon. Firestorm has a linux version. Both of them however have the ability to hide huds while taking pictures. Which seems to be more of what you want, to not have the hud show up when taking pics. Set up the pic in Kokua and snap it in Firestorm if Firestorm has a problem running on your system. That what I do with Firestorm and Black Dragon. (I set the pic up in Firestorm and snap it in Black Dragon when I want to have the photo features in BD.) The other option is to strip down an OC collar for the relay and stuff the relay script into an invisiprim and attach it wherever. Or wear an OC collar and just hide it. Stand alone relays have a hud so you're able to click it to change things on the fly.
  4. Do a MP search for 'RLV Relay'. There are free ones that attach as a HuD.
  5. Cali, I've found this to be either a body or skin issue. Either the neck fix needs to be the opposite of whatever you have it set to, or the skin is older and always had that seam. There are other possibilities, such as body shine not matching head shine or a tattoo layer tat that has a subtle darkening to it. Obviously, fiddling with the neck seam is the easiest fix. Also make sure you have the latest version of your body. iirc, I had trouble with this issue once that boiled down to an outdated body. Grabbing a demo skin that has tattoo layers with a blending area, like I described in my last post in this thread, can help you narrow things down from there.
  6. I wasn't a fan of this to begin with. I felt that the skin should be the whole skin. I still prefer this, as it puts everything on the one (skin) layer. But I've slowly become a fan of tattoo layer head skins. Usually these skins have a blending layer that extends down to the shoulders/collarbone area. It can make it possible to use an older body skin with an HD face skin without the Frankensteinian neck seam.
  7. Requeeca hasn't been mentioned. I grabbed individual animations from Kuso/Oracul, SLC and Requeeca, plus some from other sources i can't recall off the top of my head. Blended them into the Firestorm AO and sprinkled them with lengthy animation times.
  8. Two things: First, if you have a Lilly head (and a shape you're happy with), that shape will look good on the Kaya head. I found this out quite by accident while updating an alt to Kaya. Her Lilly face came out fairly similar, but a teensy bit more elfin in looks. Second, I've found it easier, If I want to have a certain look for the face, is to search shapes for the look I want for the face alone, and use the numbers for my current body on the new face shape. I did that on an alt when I was first shopping for a mesh head for her. Found a shape, got it and got the head it was made for and used my old body shape.
  9. I ran into the same issue this week as well at another event. One demo box held 1 accessory box, 1 shirt box (with 3 versions of the shirt), 1 pants box ( with 3 versions of the pants) All of which had to be unpacked. All of which could have been one Demo each with demo huds for the textures. Unpacking 8 times to demo one outfit was ridiculously tedious.
  10. I was logged in and decided to log out due to system layers not loading. Tried to log back on and got the same message. Thanks for reporting on this Emma.
  11. The only time i get an unsolicited call from someone that's added everyone around for a group IM is some sad person pretending to be Prok in an attempt to get Prok AR'd. While I'm no fan, certainly, this continued, persistent hate directed at them years after the fact makes me think that maybe Prok was right. Another part of me thinks 'how sad' for the wasted time someone puts into a useless vendetta. YMMV On Topic: There are some people whom I love in my IM box as soon as i log on. They're the people I care about most. They know who they are. But, if that's a problem, you can always log on in hidden mode until you're ready to unhide. As for club / store / etc messages.. well there's a check box in group profiles that lets you turn the group chats off if they get spammy. The same goes for group notices. you do have control of your SL.
  12. It can just report any alts you may have by virtue of how that system works. There's always a price.
  13. 1. No one can see a file on your computer but you. 2. Avermetcin is not Ivermetcin. They are related. One is synthetic. One is not. No one knows if they are 'the same' or not as there has not been a huge number of valid research on humans. Small doses are great for getting rid of scabies big doses are.. well those pesky hospitalizations I mentioned are directly due to people being conned by quacks like Dr Lawrie. (okay, maybe she isn't incompetent and she's just an opportunistic grifter? So either she's dumb as a box of rocks, or she's morally reprehensible. I'm good with dismissing her either way. 3. So she's South African and left the country right after Apartheid ended. Hmmm how about that.
  14. Well, the work history I mentioned indicates some sort of problem. She had the title of Director for one job that she had for a whopping 6 months. I work in healthcare, 6 months as a Director (and the slew of other jobs that mostly lasted less than 1 year over the course of 10 or more years) is a huge red flag. Whether it's because of incompetence or inability to 'work well over others' is irrelevant. That it seems to have happened over and over again, I believe, is. And yes, I do judge someone that moves to, lives in and supports a racist government then leaves when that racist government is deposed in a fairly dim light. Coupled with her work history.. Well, there are a lot of inferences to be made. Medical facilities tend to overlook a lot of things to keep qualified staff. Racism and sustained incompetence aren't. The medicine originally mentioned that the conspiracy theorists glommed onto as ivermectin was, I believe, avermectin. A related, but different drug. Both are anti-parasitic, but they aren't the same thing and to assume interchangeability is deadly dangerous. In either case with these medicines, a virus is not a parasite. The stupidity arises from the fact that people are hospitalized for overdosing on a drug that's really difficult to overdose on because of these medical frauds that are trying to capitalize on people's fear (and in many cases, poverty.)
  15. Well a quick google shows she got her Doctorate (and worked for 4 years, though no more than a few months at a time) in South Africa long before Apartheid ended. Which, for me, speaks to character. In fact she seems to have left South Africa right about the time it ended. She continued her work history of working at various jobs for about 6 months to almost a year for 10 years until she landed her current job at a gynecological cancer center. Considering she got the name of a drug wrong and then doubled down on promoting it (and by extension, her 'research consultancy'), I'd say she's risen to her level of incompetence. Just because someone has a degree does not preclude them from being a. Batspit crazy and b. Dumb as a box of rocks.
  16. But but but, that's NOT what a random person who is totally a DOCTOR (their Facebook page confirms it!) said on YouTube. And we all know how reliable YouTube is in dispensing VITAL information like '10 Actors who refuse to work together ever again'.
  17. Fun fact, you're wrong, it's known. The way vaccines work is that if you do acquire the illness vaccinated against, your bodies immune system quickly gets rid of it. So you don't build up the huge reservoir of germs that lets them spread like wildfire. Lower amounts for a shorter duration. So, someone vaccinated, that acquires the virus, is less likely to spread it to someone that's unvaccinated, by huge amounts. There's less of it in the air around them, even if infected. https://www.gavi.org/vaccineswork/mounting-evidence-suggests-covid-vaccines-do-reduce-transmission-how-does-work Of course it's common courtesy and a civic duty to still mask up until the herd immunity threshold is crossed. After that, refusing to get immunized is a survival trait fail.
  18. There's also Requeeca at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/aaa/129/46/1402 They have some cute AO sets and individual animations can be purchased as well.
  19. The moustache and beard need lightening to a browner color, but you're lookin good!
  20. I know you hate context, but in the context of this thread, most people would understand when I say 'mesh' I mean mesh body parts. You understand that too, but pedants gotta be pedantic amirite? By the time you posted, if you had read the thread, he had already made the purchase of a human adult body and head, which made your 'just buy a dinkie' advice rather absurd. Why do you bother spending tens, even hundreds of dollars, in buying mesh buildings and furniture when items made of prims will do? You know why. It looks better. In the context of SL, it looks more modern (Pedant counter rant: Yes even though it's not a model of a modern building a mesh medieval cottage looks more SL modern than a prim one. Added because i know an argument over what is literally said rather than accepting the nuance of context is just the hill you love to die on.) Well the same goes for reasons to buy modern mesh heads and bodies. They simply look better and that's the goal. News alert, people use SL for other things than you do. Or did you miss that nuance of context too?
  21. Your answer has literally nothing to do with the help he's looking for. We get it, you don't like mesh. To each their own, but sheesh dude..
  22. For a few more hair base options, you might try Orthodox. They have a bunch of free BoM hairbases, or did anyway. They come in basic black as well as a white, tintable base. It'll give you more options for a buzzed or even short style of hair. (FYI girls, they work for us too.)
  23. So, it's been a while since I posted. These are a few I've taken in the last couple of months, and while late to the party, I had to share the ones I took at FF.
  24. Did you add any new sitting animations to your AO or get a new AO around then? The problem described still seems AO related. Like a sit with a higher priority than the dance animations.
