  2. Du könntest dir zum beispiel einen PayPal Account besorgen, funktioniert so weit ich weiss problemlos per Bankeinzug. Dann einfach per PayPal bezahlen oder über eine der anderen L$ Händler gehen.
  3. Maybe a bit more info on this. RAM allocation doesn't increase when, for example, i just login and "park" my Avi, doing nothing. Normally, at least for me, it increases the longer i stay "active" in world, TP around or visit places and it then levels at around 900k RAM usage, even with a LOT of TP's. BUT, when i start to cam around, then the memory just rises rapidly, up to a point where either the viewer gets too laggy or, in rare cases crashes, without a trace as the OP allready pointed out. Allways thought this was because of my rather old & crappy Comp, but apparently this isn't the case
  4. Although V 2.8.0 has some serious bugs, this sounds more like a problem caused by your computer. Try a CLEAN install and look if that problem still exists.
  5. Sounds more like a Server Issue. Your balance should be restored when that particular problem is solved. If you are lucky, a simple relog will restore it too.
  6. Void Singer wrote: are you also running a 64bit OS? could help trace the source of the problem. Win XP 32 bit here. (Athlon 3000+, 1.5GB RAM, ATI HD3650)
  7. If this only happens to you, a relog should solve this. Otherwise try a restart of the Sim.
  8. Hitomi Tiponi wrote: I am wondering if your computer isn't freeing up RAM as it should do - are you experiencing any similar problems with other apps or web browsing? As i do have a similar issue, no all other software works fine. It definatly seems to be a problem of V2 code, as it happens on ALL official LL V2's, Firestorm and Dolphin Viewer 2.
  9. This process can actually be speeded up a bit, just try to cam around in a furniture shop or so, after max 2 mins the RAM usage goes to the roof

So there is definitely a bug going on and refreshing the settings or emptying the cache or whatever has nothing to do with it. Some sort of new bug related to big inventories. (No delay on avatars with small inventory count. ) Depends on the definition of "small" inventory It just seems to be more noticable the bigger your inventory is.
  11. Innula Zenovka wrote: Or they'll look like they're wearing boxes. I can't see mesh avatars taking off, though, apart maybe from robots (which are supposed to look the same). You can't edit mesh, as I understand it. So unless everyone's going to pay a vast amount of money for custom mesh avatars or learn how to make their own, then everyone wearing a mesh avatar is going to look like everyone else wearing the same avatar. Do you buy no-mod shapes? No, i wear my own shape And the problem with "lookalike" Avatars belongs for me in the, "IF i find something i like" category. I made my shape the way it is because i want it to look exactly this way, so Meshclothing has to fit MY shape, or at least resembles my shape. I guess all this will take some time anyway, so most viewers should be able to display it properly
  12. In viewer 2 , the only things that are saved in Clothing, are the Items you create yourself. Only the Outfits go to the Outfits Folder.
  13. Only if there are some important bugfixes or for me relevant new features, otherwise my motto is: Never change a running system
  14. Chronometria wrote: My partner has firestorm and has had no end of problems with crashes. I use viewer 2.....though i have problems with updates that remove crucial elements like the ability to count prims. Neither of us is having a good time. Firestorm crashed a lot on my compy too, seems to be an issue if or if not the viewer likes your Hardware And the bug with the Primcounts is fixed in the new version
  15. greek Wingtips wrote: I thought I would d\load pheonix veiwer as I was geeting so many problems with v2 and its crap update, and I can tell you now ,without any adjustments to my pc at all, its bug free loaded faster, no grapfic problems, nothing ran complety great, my conclusion is that Lidens need to test thier software before release, yes v2 has more bells and whisltes but I tell you I now have been cponverted to use third party viewers, until LL's get a stable viewer I shall not be using it Viewer 2.7.6 (Project Windlight Region) is the one i use, and so far it's the stablest & fastest viewer that i've used so far

Innula Zenovka wrote: Interesting pair of pictures in FabFree of what a very nice (and free) mesh dress looks like when you're on a mesh-enabled sim using a mesh-capable viewer and what it looks like to someone using Phoenix (or, I imagine, anything else that can't see mesh properly). With a mesh-capable viewer, it is is, as the blog says, "a gorgeous embossed satin dress, all one piece. " But, as the second picture shows, to anyone not using such a viewer it looks as if you are wearing a big black box. I usually use Marine's RLV, and since she keeps up with the official viewer pretty well, I'm doubtless going to be able to see how good I look in this dress, and similar outfits, pretty soon after mesh rolls out properly. But no way am I spending any money on buying mesh clothes until I'm confident half my friends aren't going to be asking "Innula, what are you wearing a damn great big box for?" So I don't think I'm even going to consider spending any money on mesh items until Firestorm manage to produce a mesh-capable viewer, and then I'll review the situation and see how many people actually switch to it. What are other people planning on doing? I will buy Mesh Clothes when and if i find something that i like Wheter or not somebody with a different viewer is able to see , makes no difference to me
  17. Ayesha Askham wrote: @ Moderator And this thread as well. Is someone at LL trying to bury negative comment?? The reason I say that is that two posts which appear to be entirely legitimately in the Viewer thread have been moved to the Server Blog and rendered read only by a moderator. Your logic seems at best perverse. This thread WAS in "Server" and moved here to "Viewer" , which is much more fitting cause it is about Viewers
  18. Same here (Viewer 2.8.0 & 2.8.1 BETA)
  19. Don't have this problem at all with Viewer 2, in fact i barely notice Sim crossings at all
  20. Kasya Sciavo wrote: Show me where I offended your delicate sensibilities, please? Fortunately, this forum is not just for you; I found nothing offensive or insulting in my post, and I am none too sure I am comfortable with your public statement as if it were a fact that I had. It almost smacks of 'leading' a reader to jump to that conclusion. If you read your post again, i guess you can agree with me that your wording can easily give that impression
  21. A. I actually feel mildly offended by your reply. B. I am also sure that there is a LOT of room for improvement on the Viewer side. BUT This Pie menu isn't faster and for i don't know how long, almost every piece of software i know of or use, has something like a right-click dropdown menu. So why change that ? It looks like , "Hey we are different for differents sake" . And that if you think that is less chunky, good for you, i feel different ! And, it is MY opinion that the old UI is unintuitive, NOT LL's or anyone's else! So, if your only defence for viewer 1 is insulting ppl or decribe them as LL lackeys, shove it!
  22. Ishtara Rothschild wrote: Tristizia Demonista wrote: If Viewer 1 had been my only choice for using SL, i would have left then. I feel the same way about viewer 2. Personally, I found viewer 1 very intuitive back when I joined SL. Probably because the buttons had captions in plain English instead of cryptic hieroglyphs, opening the inventory window didn't trigger an epileptic seizure, and I was able to read the font without pressing my nose against the monitor Seriously though, I don't want to force my UI preference on anybody else. That's why I think that the standard viewer should offer multiple interface choices. Not resident-made skins that LL don't offer any support for, which stop working every time I'm forced to install a new viewer version. I really don't have the time to screw around with that kind of thing. I also don't have the time to re-apply my preferences after each update, for that matter. Or to stare at a "The system is logging you out, try waiting a few minutes" message ten times per evening, because that is my average number of crashes when I use v2. All I want is a crash-free and performant viewer that has a tiny little "Legacy UI" checkbox in its preferences for the majority of residents who prefer the v1 interface. It would be so easy to make everybody happy. Hmm, startup or default configs are 1 of the reasons i can't stand most V1's or TPV's. These default color settings either make me blind or so aggressive that i fear about my hardware. The multiple Skins option though is something i guess we can agree upon And i'm very happy that those nifty Starlight Skins are there, wouldn't wan't to miss em now Just have some very different experiences with stability here, i don't crash with viewer 2!! ps: and yes, i can finally quote (but not getting a even readable formatting )
  23. Keli Kyrie wrote: /me looks.... hum... pink skins. I never saw this before. It's not only the color Those skins actually do some VERY useful changes to the UI too
  24. Ishtara wrote: It doesn't work like that. A company doesn't tell me to better get used to their software or else. I am telling them what kind of product I'm looking for, and if they can't deliver it, I have to start looking elsewhere. A lot of SL residents are doing just that right now, and 35% have already found greener pastures (based on the concurrency drop from 85k to 55k). That is your opinion, i for myself find that Viewer 1 horrible. Tried out the official, Phoenix etc., all have a UI that is unintuitive and have a general feel of being Software from a century long since gone. And that Pie Menu looks someone tried to reinvent the wheel (and failed ) . If Viewer 1 had been my only choice for using SL, i would have left then. (ps: I would have quoted you, but i just get an "unexpected error" everytime i tried it )
  25. There is at least one Skin Creator i know of, where you can modify your make-up on the Skin. A rather cool feature imo
