  1. You cannot force a co-owner to leave. When you create a group, the wisest thing to do is to make your own alt the only co-owner. No matter how much you love and trust your partner, best friend, co-worker ... sister in SL, there's no way to predict what tomorrow may bring. In the end, most of us can at least trust our own alts. Most of the time.
  2. It's all make-believe, role playing. You can do anything you want, all by yourself or with a crowd. 😉
  3. Having excessive arteriosclerosis really tires. AORTA
  4. In that case, the sound may be coming from Media On A Prim that someone nearby has activated. If you can locate the source, try muting it. It will still annoy your visitors (who will have to mute it themselves) but at least you won't hear it.
  5. Darling, usually very exhausted typing. WORDS
  6. "Hello" is fine, but it doesn't invite a reply. By itself, it's rather a dead greeting. Try, "Hello. Do you have any idea where we are?" Or maybe, "Hello. That's a lovely scarf. It matches your skirt." Or, "Hello! Did you see what that guy just did?" Or, "Hello. Can you tell me how to adjust my camera so that I can look behind me without turning around?" You can say a lot of things after "Hello" that open a conversation, but "Hello" by itself just sits there.
  7. Today, I'm really extraordinarily drowsy. YAWNS
  8. Honshu youth purposely encourage risk GINZA
  9. There's a difference between titles and titlers. You can indeed turn off titles in your Preferences, where there's a check box for Group Titles This is the display in Firestorm. The standard LL viewer's is similar. Group titles are displayed by your viewer. A titler, however, is a scripted attachment that an avatar can wear to put a floating label over her head. You can't do anything to make that display go away, although you can set snapshot options to keep it from appearing in a photo that you take of the person.
  10. Hold on! What happened to Lindal's COPSE? Cheer our police sergeant, Elmo. DA FUZ Oh drat. I missed Maddy's. OK.... POETS, eh? Prose only exists to stimulate. Now I messed up Luna, so I won't make it worse by fiddling with hers too. 🤐
  11. You may remember that I set out from Sebek on September 7, headed up river to find a passage to Pickle Island's fabled lakes. If so, you probably also remember that I had to make a super-athletic leap up the falls in Parlouf to get there. Well, since then, those crafty moles have created many more waterfalls and I have had much more practice leaping up them. Therefore, when the small voice in my head reminded me that I never finished that first journey, I decided it was time to go back and do it. Parlouf Falls are just as scary now, but I took a good run at them, made a huge jump .... ... and made it to the top, in Deer Pass. I made a brief turn to the north, to see whether River Run was as pretty as I remembered. It definitely is. I don't recall taking time to smell the flowers before, or maybe they weren't in bloom then. They are lovely now, and the homes are much more landscaped than they were before. Residents have been busy! I couldn't wait to head back south, though, to visit places I had not been to last time. There are a few narrow spots along the way, but the lakes widen to the south and become deeper, especially as you reach Esplin. There, a small stream from the east offers a way into the much smaller Badger Lake, which lies on the border between Deer Pass and Badger Beach. It's a straight, narrow body of water with a paved promenade on its east side. Despite the number of homes there, it's surprisingly bucolic. I even found a deer relaxing on the shore. Returning south and back to the main lake in Esplin, I swam through another long, narrow stretch, finally arriving at the south end of the lake system, in Sario, where it widens significantly. You can see from the green construction marker in the distance that moles are working hard not far beyond houses on the southern shore of the lake. Residents here have already settled in, though, despite the noise of hammering and heavy earth-moving equipment. It won't be long before this is no longer the frontier. There are still more lakes to the southeast in lands that are still being developed. I'm glad that I listened to my small inner voice and made a second trip to the Pickle Island lakes. When I come back again, maybe I will find a way to reach those remaining lakes. Meanwhile, ... ..... this is already a beautiful inland paradise. Even if you don't have a home here, it's a charming spot to visit. I couldn't resist hopping up on the rocks to enjoy the afternoon sun, but I hadn't thought to pack a picnic lunch. Maybe next time.
  12. Quartz Mole probably owns your house too. Someone has to own the rezzer for the region, and it's always going to be a mole or a Linden, so any house rezzed from it will belong to the same person. After all, nobody else can rez objects on Protected Land ( Remember that your house is not actually on your parcel. Its root is on the patch of grassy LDPW land next to the street.)
  13. I don't usually bother to take the time to read profiles. Most of them are pretty blah and uninformative anyway. I will usually ignore someone who just says, "Hi," but not always. "Hi" is not a conversation opener. It's like a verbal wave. If you really want to open a conversation, say something that's interesting enough to be worth responding to, or at least something that isn't provocative or threatening.
