Keeping in mind that gambling in SL was forbidden a while back i doubt a lottery would work. The only advise to give is, ask Lindens about because they have the last word. As with RL programmers you need people you can trust in share companys secrets or in your case project details. There is no real way to protect items on the Internet and so far SL. Monti

Dort gibt es tolle shapes, skins und komplette Outfits mit sculpty schuhen und jacken..... Dies sind alles professionell erstellte Items die Linden zur Verfügung gestellt wurden aber eben vielleicht vom letzten Jahr sind. Bei Skins hat sich da eh nicht soooo viel geändert. Monti

Maybe you need to test some to see which one is able to do the things u looking for. As far i know Radegast (Windows) can do nearly everything including teleport, see your position on the map and manage inventory. This clients should all be free and depending on your OS give it a try. I think Pocket MV for iPhones can do things like that too but i´m not using it anymore and it cost money! Monti

Hi, i dont know about a homepage to do that but there are some text-only viewers you can start on slow PCs or Android/iPhones that can manage inventory in a very! basic way. You can find them on the TPV or 3rd Party Viewer donwload page. Monti

Hello, depend on what you want to build. Houses, its build with the ingame-tools like blocks and spheres ... then textured. Usually there is no scripting needed because for things like lights or doors you can pick up free scripts that do the job. If it´s going to be cars or planes, toys ... everything moving or do something like a carousel ? You will need scripts to do and that needs some learning; depending on your knowledge about computer-programming. But you can find good help to learn ingame. There are classes about everything. Plus, some objects attach on take or other events; but not without grant the right to attach and then ask for permissions to make payments. What is a big yellow sign box ! Illegl or not, you get the texture on your PC and need to upload it again. Cost = 10L$ I hope you didn´t delete the textures from your harddrive ? Not a good idea because of invetory-loss or updates or custom work ... Monti

Agree to Luc. If you build or buy sculpt hills and try to make them "real", you would need tons of prims to fill the shape. Then just build them with prims ... Monti

Hello this is not a guide how to become an SL-DJ, just some tips or hints. First of all, you need a stream. Either a rented one or create your own server. Next, DJ software, this can be SAM, Virtual DJ or for the start winamp with shoutcast plugin and if needed a voice plugin. Winamp is free and will do the job to learn. The music should be in MP3, thats the easiest to deal with. Voice ... well some won´t agree but a DJ in SL isn´t like a RL club DJ. For me it is more an entertainer that plays music too. So yes, voice is a must. If a DJ only plays music then i can put a radio-station. Next as a must is, be able to do requests. Only working down a fixed list is again like radio. Stay in a single genre isn´t a problem, that only limits the places you can DJ. Budget, RL money to pay for the Software and the montly fee for the server. Shouldn´t be more than 10-15 US$. DJs in SL are not getting rich, usually it´s tips only so L$ isn´t a topic. If you do it for the money, leave it. Last but not least. Streaming music into SL isn´t different to any Internet-Radio-Station. That means you need the right to play music in public. In germany you need to have alot spare money to do that. And of course the music you play you have to own, no downloading or .... :smileywink: Hope this helped you a little bit. I´ve trained some people into SL-DJing so don´t be afraid to ask again. Monti

Hallo, so einfach kann man das nicht beantworten. Hardware oder Software-Firewall. Das eine wäre in deinem Router das andere auf deinem PC (Laptop) Die Hardware-Firewall im Router zu deaktivieren ist ziemlich riskant und bei jedem Gerät anders daher müsstest du den Hersteller und das Modell Posten. Die Software-Firewall, z.Bsp. die Windows7 interne, kann man in der Systemsteuerung->Netzwerk->Firewall ausschalten. Immer beachten: Wenn man die Firewall ausschaltet öffnet das Tür und Tor für Viren und anderes. Dann gibt es noch Firewalls von Norton und so das geht dann in diesem Program. Monti

Public sandboxes are "public". Most not run by Linden Lab. New users need a place to build and learn even that attracts some idiots doing nonsense with fake accounts. That´s not new SL users, usually thats "old" ones thinking this is fun. Most sandboxes have guards to control this but not everyone who offers a sim for free to play has the time or money for security. To really do serious builds, maybe for sale, public sandboxes are not the best place to go because you open the door for copybotting your things before they even released. This doesn´t solve the problem that exist since public sandboxes are around and will to the end of SL ... Avoid them like the devil :smileywink: Monti

Hi, in the dataserver event where you read the lines just change the text displayd. make a list of the texts count up the value in the dataserver event and use llSetText(llList2String(listname,counter)); if the counter reaches the end of the list set to 0 and start again. Thats not really a script but shows the basics of howto, maybe someone have the full script handy. Monti

Hi, in the catholic way a marriage only counts if the couple planning to have childrens and that needs .... They can partner but why they need a weeding as child-avatars ? Yesterday suddenly while online all Display-Names on Screen changed into Usernames, then i couldn´t rezz things or sit on poseballs anymore.
