Contact Support Concierge Support Phone Numbers Toll-Free (US/Canada) 877.236.0711 Long Distance 703.286.2738 8am to Midnight PST, M-F; and 8am to 8pm PST Saturday and Sunday Local Toll-Free numbers France: 0805.101.490 Germany: 0800.664.5510 Japan: 0066.33.132.830 Brazil: 0800.762.1132 Spain: 800.300.560 UK: 0800.048.4646 It simply looks like the support numbers have been removed from the Physical Address entry on the map service.
  3. Dee, To begin with Regions have been encountering transaction delays for a while now. 1) Start by relogging on and see if the items show up. 2) If they are not returned to your inventory, try logging into a different regions, lets say "Violet" 3) If then still are not returned to you inventory please follow all the instructions in the article below: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Advanced-inventory-management/ta-p/1376385#Section_.3 P.S. Depending on how the items were returned to you, all or many of them nay have been returned as a coalesced object into your Lost & Found. This object looks like a group of little cubes. Rez it on a parcel about the size of the previous parcel you owned and then recover each item back into your inventory one at a time.

  7. The next time you get one of those messages select the Block [Mute] option. Problem solved. If you notice that the UUID is constantly changing please report the object or UUID to LL ASAP. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Blocking/ta-p/700121 You have a spamming object on or near your parcel somewhere. It spawns random objects to spam those who visit within it's agent detection range then it deletes itself to prevent blocking. This is a griefer object behavior. You or your neighbor need to return all objects not belonging to you both or that are not known to be safe. If you can find the object spawning the temp spam objects you should file an abuse report on it. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Filing-an-abuse-report/ta-p/700065 Good Luck. P.S. - If you lease these parcels and have purchased them into a group or are the owner outright - Use the information on the following wiki page to locate objects not belonging to you and return them http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-parcel/ta-p/700113#Section_... If you rent space & prims from someone who owns the parcel, then contact your landlord ASAP and have them do the locate and return of the objects not belonging on the parcel/region.

  9. Red, Did you contact support via phone for this? Did you give them your payment information? Without payment information you can't be charged the account reactivation fee. Link to information: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Accounts-overview/ta-p/700019#Section_.5.2
  10. Reading between the lines, Have you changed your membership back to Basic? You'll still be charged the Premium Membership option you selected until you revert your membership back to the basic plan. Abandoning the Linden Home is only the 1st step. https://secondlife.com/my/account/membership.php?lang=en-US
  11. OK - just because I have this laying around // Touch Me Plea script [KMLT-Touch Me Plea] // - Author.: KarenMichelle Lane // - Company: KM Love Things // - Freely Donated into the Public Domain // vector color = <1.0, 1.0, 1.0>; string default_text = "Hello, I'm just here waiting to be touched!"; string text; integer count=0; default { state_entry() { text = default_text; llSetText(text, color, 1.5); } touch_end(integer number) { count = count + 1; text = "Oh My! I've been touched " + (string)count + " times. Do it again please."; llSetText(text, color, 1.5); } } P.S. Most of this script is very basic. The use of the event "touch_end " is required because the act of touching triggers the "Touch" event continuously until you de-select [lift your finger from the mouse button] the object the script is in.
  12. Subby, Lets start with what is the error you are receiving when using the current build of the official SL viewer? Your PC and GC look fine and should operate well for you in SecondLife. Please Edit your post and add the SL Viewer error messages and your internet service provider and the results of www.speedtest.net if you would. With this information, we may be able;e to assist you further. P.S. - Be sure to try uploading your mesh objects in a quiet place [sL-wise, not busy] and while not wearing anything mesh yourself. I know, weird, but try it please. Also make sure you are NOT using or have installed MSN's SkyDrive software. This is a known problem causer with SL.
  13. Roxy, Your camera view defaults to a specific angle based on the position of your body once it plops onto a pose ball. I see this a lot when furniture is placed in a smallish room or in a tight corner. A busy design area can cause this as well. Many times I end up caming on an outside wall or curtain. I simply wheel the cam in to see the action afterwards.
  14. Candi, 1) Not easily but it is possible with a properly written script in an object attached to you. 2) CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD - N O W! https://secondlife.com/my/account/password.php?lang=en-US 3) Don't use the [ ] Save Password option on your viewer.
  15. Darren Both of those URLs are good and should work for you - The top URL you specified requires a properly operating DNS Server setting on your PC's internet bind. You may want to manually specify your DNS Servers by using the Google's Public DNS servers 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 and see if your ISP's DNS servers are the issue. Here are the details https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/ Test with these and please let us know if this does the trick.
  16. Suulewen, That media player you purchased was making changes to a setting for your parcel. When you removed/deleted the media player, the last station to be played was still in the Land Parcel setting. You may manually update the Sound Music URL setting to be blank or to have a URL & Port of an internet music source you like. World / About Land / SOUND / Music URL: - Add a URL/Port combination of a station you want or blank it out for peace & quiet. P.S. Please ignore the red highlighted area in that picture
  17. Sophia, Earlier today LL was performing Maintenance on the main channel servers. [RESOLVED] Second Life Main Channel Rolling RestartTuesday, July 31st, 2012 [RESOLVED 12:28PM PDT, 31 July 2012] Today’s rolling restarts have been completed. [updated 4:53am PDT, 31 July 2012] we will be beginning rolling restarts for regions on the main Second Life server channel shortly. [Posted 1:55pm PDT, 30 July 2012] We will be performing rolling restarts for regions on the main Second Life server channel. They will begin on Tuesday, July 31st at approximately 5:00AM PDT. Please refrain from rezzing no copy objects, making inworld L$ transactions and remember to save all builds. Try logging in again and maybe try another region rather than your default home.
  18. Erica, To answer your 2nd concern. Please log onto your account and visit the Premium Membership page to reduce your account to a basic account. This can be done without your SL Viewer working. https://secondlife.com/my/account/membership.php?lang=en-US HOWEVER: If you are leasing Mainland or have a Linden Home at this time , first get on the phone with the billing department ASAP and then ask for your account land holdings to be abandoned on you behalf. You will have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are the account holder to the billing department for this to be done if it is possible. https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/ Concierge Support Phone Numbers Toll-Free (US/Canada) 877.236.0711 Long Distance 703.286.2738 8am to Midnight PST, M-F; and 8am to 8pm PST Saturday and Sunday Local Toll-Free numbers France: 0805.101.490 Germany: 0800.664.5510 Japan: 0066.33.132.830 Brazil: 0800.762.1132 Spain: 800.300.560 UK: 0800.048.4646 P.S. If you find that the Billing department can;t abandon your holdings for you, then as a friend to borrow their PC so you can install Phoenix on it long enough for you to abandon all your land holdings so you can then request the account to Basic Status.
  19. Alas, no it's not possible - Groups and founders are forever bonded to each other.
  20. Answered in duplicated thread... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/Windows-7-sl-crashing/qaq-p/1609933
  21. Mutandroid, Your graphics card is not considered a gamers card per the reviews I'm reading. It is designed specifically for video playback for HD media sources such as HD TV and / or BlueRay Movies. Make sure you have SecondLife running at the lowest Graphics settings. You may be very well overheating your Graphics Card when using SecondLife and it fails/bails with a crash. Do you have to reboot your PC afterwards or does it remain useable after the SL crash?
  22. Arkrose, The reviews for this laptop line from HP are not kind, especially in terms of the graphics. http://www.notebookcheck.net/HP-Pavilion-g6-2123us.78154.0.html The review specifically mentions Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards. SecondLife should be considered an advanced - high graphics capability application. You may be able to log into SL on this laptop but plan on using the lowest graphics settings. Here is the link to specific graphics and equipment settings as documented by Linden Lab: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Graphics-cards/ta-p/700073 https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/ You may be better served by saving up a bit and shopping for a laptop with a higher end GC.
  23. Doctor, Please let us know the details of your PC and GC by updating this thread. We need this information to aid you better.
  24. Kwakkelde, My guess would be that the updates you are receiving from the region/server you are standing in are not coming to your PC at anywhere close to that rate. The best possible frame rate for a region usually hovers around 45 fps but at your PC this is determined by the speed of your internet connection and how fast the update information is being processed. Bottom line is lag will still be lag. It just will not be added to by your PC proper. The Region/Server & Internet components are now in the driver seat.
  25. Well lets see. The Official LL SL Viewer is found here: https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US Third Party viewer information is found at this link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory Any additional questions, please update your post and we'll be happy to answer because that's how we roll. :cattongue:
