  1. This happened to me before, I logged in opened my outfits tab and while all my outfits were there, the links to the items were not. I had to log out, reset my internet connection/router/modem log back in, open my inventory and wait for my recent tab to stop fetching. Then all my outfits were back to normal.
  2. Oh, I didn't design it, I was just pointing out a way to do it. There are no more clicks involved than the standard way of closing a window. It is just one click. So in that way it is not more cumbersome, unless there are ways of closing windows with zero clicks. I wasn't being patronizing. I don't use Apple. I'm not even really sure what you meant by what you said, but I hope you weren't being mean to me, I was just trying to help.
  3. There could be various reasons. A picture would help, but I will guess. Perhaps the holes are part of the design? Perhaps when you edited, you shifted the clothes a little to the side and now you have gaps? It may be that you are moving pieces around that are supposed to be together. If its an outfit, you might not be wearing all of the pieces. I suppose I could guess all night, post a picture or describe some more and we can help you a lot better.
  4. We had gathered at the Forgotten City. The mayor and his constituents had kept watch for us. Agent Levenque had given everyone their assignments. Nightfire and I were to place explosives at key locations throughout the city. Rangemistress Kyrie informed M of her intentions to pursue the rouge agent Kelinda. Nightfire had taken control of the Battle Zephyr, she would be providing aerial support. RM Kyrie, M and I discuss the final phase of the plan. We are more than fully aware that this may be our last communication. The Rangemistress makes final preparations and undocks her ship. M authorizes Combat Instructor Katt to use any means necessary to ensure Q's protection. The Agents depart to their assigned missions. I am left alone with M. I try to think of something to say. I expect her to say something, anything so that I can make a witty remark or a snarky comment, but she says nothing. The tick tick tick of the city roars in my ears and the smell of salt water and steam becomes undeniably noticeable and the cool muggy mist seems to blanket the city and myself with indifference. M taps her foot and looks at her watch. Her watch that is always there like a constant companion, like a constant reminder that this is all coming to an end, like a small annoying mechanical device that shares a connection to this large whirring spinning quiet still city of automations and gears. I want to smash the watch. I want to say something, I want to scream! I walk away. I turn in my service pistol. I wont be requiring it anymore. She rather seemed like she wanted to say something. The mayor says nothing. Nightfire had stocked the submersible with more than enough explosives. I board it and set them in their designated spots. The ocean water is warm and I have virtually unlimited access to every area of the city. By the time I complete my mission a new dawn is forming. I let my service uniform dry while I review the plans. The factory and range and Governor's Mansion are held aloft by the city's three main Zephyrs. I am left with three explosives. The sun is cold and the haze surrounds me in its now familiar embrace. I shudder at the thought of what is to come.
  5. In V2, you can enable multiple viewers under me > preferences.
  6. Oh, Eio, when the forums changed about Februaryish I think it was or sometime around there, all the photos were wiped out as well. I too had to upload new photos and I myself asked the same question you did. If its been awhile since you have been on here, then your photos are gone and you will have to upload new ones. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/Old-Forum-Profile/qaq-p/721373
  7. Ok, Eio. I think I understand the confusion. The profiles are now web based. https://my.secondlife.com/eio.tuqiri is your profile. Period. Inworld it is the one that is used. You can update it inworld or out. The other profile is the one that is right here right now to the left of us. The one that says Honored Resident. Its referred to as an avatar badge usually but profile is also a way to describe it, its the link to your forum profile. There are only two profiles, your inworld/my.secondlife.com profile and your community profile/forum account.
  8. There is some kind of bug going around, my feet and face look odd to some persons that use the phoenix, I use the V2. It has something to do with compatibility issues, my friend usually has to TP away then back and its fixed. If I try to fix it on my end, it doesn't work.
  9. Ok, one more suggestion, if you have phoenix and V2, you will need to clear cache for both viewers. To clear cache first enable view hidden folders by going to your control panel, folder options, view, show hidden files and folders. Then go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife and delete the contents of that folder. Then go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SecondLife and delete the contents of that folder. Then go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Phoenix and delete the contents of that folder. Then go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Phoenix and delete the contents of that folder Go back to control panel, folder options, view, don't show hidden files and folders. Restart your computer. If you are going to have multiple viewers on your system, its best to store cache in different locations. Hope this helps.
  10. Ok, now how do you look with a different skin on?
  11. Hm, you can go back to your other post and update your status there instead of creating a new post, it will be easier on all of us to help you. Just go to Question Options at the top left above your post and choose edit.
  12. If you are seeing walls that are not supposed to be there, it may be your graphics card, try going to me, preferences, graphics, hardware, and click or unclick vbo. If others are not seeing walls that are supposed to be there, maybe they need to adjust their graphics draw distance, if on the other hand the walls are grey to them, its because textures have not loaded in their viewer yet.
  13. Hi, apparently this is an ongoing issue at the moment, here is a thread about the subject: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Your-Avatar/Age-Verification-Problems-Valid-Post-Code-seen-as-Invalid/m-p/910225#M5785
  14. You should be getting a notice that your item, magic carpet, was returned to your lost and found folder from name of location. Go there and take your carpet into inventory or delete it. It sounds like you have one rezzed somewhere and on autoreturn it is being returned to you, not sure why it just sends copies though.
  15. Hi Coty, sorry to hear you are still having problems. I see you have had this issue for over two weeks now. I can only suggest what I can think of that would in theory be able to solve your problem, and I may repeat solutions you have tried already. First, try wearing a completely different avatar. Don't just change clothes and hair, but everything. An easy way to do this is to wear a new folder from your library in your clothes folder, try boy next door. Just right click on that folder and choose wear. If that doesn't work, manually clear your cache. Go back to control panel, folder options, view, don't show hidden files and folders. Restart your computer. Log in to SL under advanced mode. Open your inventory recent tab and wait for it to stop fetching. If you still are having problems please post back and if at all possible post a screenshot to maybe get a better idea of your issue. Good luck I hope you get this problem resolved.

Carole says: Yes, and I repeat - WE (i.e. the forum users) - are really pathetic at times. WE nagged and nagged LL to sort our the forums and make less sub-sub-sub-categories so the whole thing was more useable. And lo and behold - for once they listen to us and DO it! Make a much neater more concise forum....and what do WE do....why, WE count to 10 and start asking for more sub-sub-sub-sub-categories again...... Charolotte Caxton wrote: You do get to express your dislike as much as I get to express mine. Carole says: Oh, that's big of you. That's a change of tune from earlier, though... Oh, thank you.

  18. Carole Franizzi wrote: Oh gawd....they just tidied up the forums after months of messy confusion. It's been three days and we're already asking for extra forums??? Why not have a prim nail forum? Or a hair forum? Or a pet forum? I mean where do you stop? And anyway, what the heck would such a forum be about? An endless boring series of threads showing off houses and gardens. Let's face it - it'd be a variation on a vanity thread with lots of free publicity thrown in disguised as recommendations... Nah... Let's keep the forums minimalistic. Set up a group like Home and Garden Lovers United, and you can swap photos of your little palaces to your heart's content. You wouldn't have to read the forums about our boring little palaces, unless you just wanted to come insult us. You could find use for one after all. Actually no, you insult us no matter what forum we post in. My apologies.
  19. What happened to 2007 to 2011?
  20. That night was magical, Dillon. For many reasons, and you are right, for some of us, taking off our shoes is a big deal.
  21. Oh I want to say how cool that is before everyone starts making fun of it, cool!
  22. Simply, a prim is the basic building block of SL. A prim, or primitive, is one object. Objects can be made of more than just one prim. Think of a chair, for example, four legs, a seat, and a back. 6 prims. Some creators can make a chair out of fewer prims, hence the term, low prim furniture. To know how many prims an object of yours has, right click it, choose edit and you will see.
