  1. Sounds like you are wearing prim eyes and they are to large for your eye sockets, imagine wearing really large contacts made of glass and your skin is made of jello that doesn't break. Remove all your attachments, some eyes come with enhancements so just changing eyes will not solve your issue. The eyes that have a little eyeball symbol in your inventory or wearing tabs are not the issue, its whatever prims are attached to your face, the ones with little orange cubes for symbols.
  2. All money goes somewhere. Check your transaction history to see where the 1200 went. https://secondlife.com/my/account/transactions.php?lang=en-US If the character you sent it to got it, problem solved. If not, figure out how you sent it to whom it got sent to, perhaps you clicked on the wrong thing by mistake.
  3. Does this help? http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/when-i-go-to-play-the-game-it-says-i-need-media-plugin-webkit/qaq-p/743433
  4. The servers the horse is linked to encountered a technical difficulty and the horses data was lost, such as its name. The message is just telling you what happened. Rerezzed means recreated or made to exist in virtual space again. Crash usually means unexpected system failure.
  5. I have been using V2 for a little over a year now and every update, including this one, makes everything better. Maybe its your system, not the viewer?
  6. I didn't make it to Zaara's for the sale, but I did make it in time to buy a fabulous dress Gorgeous selection there.
  7. Wow Joe. How have you kept quiet all this time? Thank you , I am glad you liked it Thanks everyone for liking my video so far, I do hope to get progressively better as I get more experienced, thanks for the support!
  8. Hi Bornold. I would suggest trying to login under advanced mode as opposed to basic mode, on the login screen, under mode. Then where it says start at: I would type Smith. other ideas: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&location=Board%3Asla_getting_started&q=unable+to+connect+to+simulator
  9. Its not actually the physical computer that is banned, it is the IP address of the computer and sometimes it happens by accident. Give LL a call and a few minutes should fix it.
  10. Hi, go to Me > Preferences > General > Pressing letter keys affects movement.
  11. Go to your account and check your transaction history for the past 30 days, it will tell you where your money went. https://secondlife.com/my/account/transactions.php?lang=en-US
  12. If you mean the Second Life time at the top of your inworld viewer, you can't. It will always display what time it is in San Francisco USA. If you mean in here on the forums, go to My Settings, Preferences. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-preferences
  13. When I buy a dress I oftentimes have to modify it to fit my shape, so therefore it is preferable to buy clothes that are modifiable. Before I modify anything, it is imperative that I be able to make a backup copy. Therefore it must be copyable. If it is then modifiable, copyable, AND transferable, then the merchant loses money because I could buy a dress and give away a copy to all my friends who can then give a copy to all their friends and so on forever. Your idea is a good one, and it would be cool if I could pass on my unused items to others, but for the reasons I just stated, I think is why that cannot happen.
  14. That's the oddity I had noticed as well when I had initially replied to Peewee, I just didn't have those words to describe it. I am on Chrome and IE9.
  15. To go to Smith, you would go to your login screen, where it says mode, choose advanced, where it says start at, you type Smith. Then you press the green login button. Have you checked to make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements to run Second Life? If you have a computer that does not meet the minimum requirements, no amount of advice is going to fix any of your issues.
  16. Lol, if you read my original post here you will see where I say these instructions are for viewer two
  17. If you went to me, preferences, setup and looked where it says cache location, its going to say C/users/name. Where I have typed name, you will see your username.
  18. Yeah, I can get that. That's neat to know about all the avatars having real names, although Im glad I got to choose mine instead of just being a little me. I wonder if there are avatars with real celebrities names that aren't the real celebrity? Madonna comes to mind, though I guess she would be Madonna Resident, huh?
  19. Wow Josh, that last sentence is true, because if I didn't know you, I might not believe your story. That is way cool that he had his own avatar with his own real name. Its even cooler that his real name sounded like a second life name That reminds me of this that I read just the other night, pretty cool http://secondlife.wikia.com/wiki/Avatar_Last_Names
  20. Like Peggy said, go to Me, Preferences, Setup and under where it says cache location, is your user name. You don't even have to log in to find this out, just click your SL icon and go to Me, Preferences, Setup from the login screen. edit : and what leliel said, I was typing as she posted
  21. Hi Mayalily, I must say that manually clearing your cache is a sort of last resort as it deletes your chat logs and sets most of your settings back to default. I don't log chats so if you want to preserve those, it would be wise to save that folder before you proceed. Resetting your settings isn't that difficult and most likely is something you do occasionally to often anyways. I do at least. Now first you can just system clear cache, that is, go to me, preferences, setup and hit the reset button. Log out, restart your system, and log back in. If you still need to manually clear your cache, here is the copy and paste version for Viewer two on a Windows 7 computer. The username is your username in your computer. For example, if your real life name is Mary Poppins, you may have named your computer or your user account on that computer something like Poppins or Mary or even Home Computer, depending on your naming scheme. To clear cache first enable view hidden folders by going to your control panel, folder options, view, show hidden files and folders. Then go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife and delete the contents of that folder. Then go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SecondLife and delete the contents of that folder. Go back to control panel, folder options, view, don't show hidden files and folders. Restart your computer. Log in to SL under advanced mode. Open your inventory recent tab and wait for it to stop fetching. The built in browser basically means that if you need to open up a window inworld, for example, if someone gives you the link to a funny article or a photo online, when you click on that link, the internet page will open up inside your Second Life viewer window as opposed to your computers browser opening it up outside of second life. So, I am not saying you have to manually clear your cache, I am just telling you how to do it. I don't know what your specific problem may be. Hope I helped.
  22. Ok, so I got it posted. Solution: downloaded Windows Movie Maker for free. It has an option that allows you to tell it where you are going to share the video, I told it youtube. It converts it, then uploads it for you. It was way simple and I am so excited. You can watch here : my first video Thank you all so much for your help!
  23. Okay, so I got really excited about shadows and I have been experimenting a lot with windlight settings plus I purchased my first land inworld and I learned how to record video inworld, kinda! So...after much help I think I have finally figured out how to post my video here. I was really excited about it, especially cause I noticed there is a lack of videos featuring recording ones self while dancing :P This was filmed at an altitude of 2500 meters above my land and it is the music that was actually playing at the time and I have not edited it at all. The lighting is modified blacklight from Torley. The song is Dance in the Dark by Lady Gaga Please give me constructive criticism, I am really excited about this new adventure and I hope to produce stuff that will be pretty cool. Warning: its just a video of me dancing. Ok, thanks.
  24. This error has been reported before, rather than retype it all, have a look at some of the solutions that have helped others. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&location=Board%3Asla_account&q=dns+error
  25. No. First it will be a credit in your account after covering any bills. Then in order to convert it to money, you will need to process credit. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?filter=location&location=Board%3Asla_linden_dollars&q=selling+lindens
