Hello everyone! I am an aspiring novelist who is nearing the date of publication of my premiere novel, Rasere's War. It is a novel primarily inspired by Second Life and the people I've met there. I've completed the first draft and have gone through several revisions so far. I've gotten most of the typos cleaned up so far, so spell checkering isn't the top priority. I am looking for constructive feedback on story structure, character development, and word flow. The type of reader I am looking for must be interested in one or more of the following; Sci-Fi, virtual worlds, military fiction, and drama. Applicants must fill out a Google Form and when I get enough readers, I will send out the draft with instructions and a questionnaire. Please use this link to sign up: http://bit.ly/2hJjg7P

I found the perfect car for a photoshoot I plan to do. Meet Charlie the Charger, my faithful 4-wheeled friend. Here he is decked out in black paint. I like the in-dash entertainment console. -

It was a very good time indeed! The hostess, Selina Greene, read a chapter from my novel and she read from other attendee's submissions. A few of the read their own works in local voice chat too. The event is every Sunday at 1pm SLT on Book Island. -
Yup. Actually Marty Martian's trailer on the ground. He sleeps with the KONA Stream transmitters.

I am nearing publication of my premiere novel, Rasere's War. I look to self-publish as an eBook via Smashwords and Amazon KDP early next year. One of the steps to self-publishing is creating cover art and I've contracted out to an artist on Fiverr.com. Attached is his first submission. Overall I like it, but I am not sure about the color. The blue looks fine, but would a greenish or yellowish-brown tint be more eye-catching in a virtual bookstore?

Updated music streaming instructions ?
GoSpeed Racer replied to behzii's topic in General Discussion
In all seriousness, The various SL clients can receive and decode a few formats of streaming media. For the Sound/Music channel, it can receive Shoutcast and Icecast streams using MP3 and OGG/Vorbis. The format for Shoutcast v1 is http://address:port . For Shoutcast v2 and Icecast, the format is http://address/mount point. For example: My station stream can be tuned in using either format: http://cabhs30.sonixcast.com:9802/ for Shoutcast and http://listen.sonixfm.com/8776 for Icecast. It is also very possible to receive nonstandard formats via your media tab/channel. If the stream you desire uses AAC, which cannot be tuned in via the music channel, you can stream it using media.
