The reason they’re probably NOT doing open trads as a priority… they already got your money as a current resident/premium member. Their goals seems to be increasing supply and yet certain themes remain scarce.

It has been so long since the preview of these that I forgot they existed.

They’re hoarding. Not sure why they’re choosing to make certain styles scarce rather than let it all out and present an abundance land selection for anybody that gets a premium account. 3 years in and we’re still talking about GOH? Prove to me linden lab doesn’t like GOH people. They love them, judging by their slow trickle release.

I felt misled is all. They did the reveal and gave publicity to the homes, so it felt very soon. There are other events lindens can reveal at closer to launch date. I don’t think I’m the only one that feels this way, and it’s not being impatient or demanding, just wondering if anybody feels this way too?

Besides guessing and predictions, could LL step up and give us some sort of time frame when to expect the modern homes, or any of the new homes? Why don’t they just release them already

Another allure of linden homes for linden lab is people with homes must buy furnishings. And then they make friends and spend money on their avatar and other stuff. The community is very good business for LL.

Your math is good. With they way they’ve packed the regions now, it’s a profit. They’re not losing money per region at all, even with stipend. Most people end up spending it in SL and not cashing that out.

Reasons why Linden Homes are not starter homes… 1. Exclusive (premium) members only perk 2. Limited supply that money can’t buy. So you may have many accounts but will you land that dream home? 3. Controlled covenant with 9-5 concierge and support to fix when your house breaks or the neighbors break this rules 4. Is realistic. Has roads, community areas, rez zones, not all spaces have this in SL 5. This is the most active land forum thread, and it’s members are not noobs but very old avatars, so it’s not for starter but for invested members In conclusion, it’s time to stop calling them starter homes and call them what they are - the most exclusive homes money can’t buy. Prove me wrong.
