  1. Likewise, the station at Red Hook would be greatly enhanced with the addition of station signage
  2. The railway between Laurinda and Three Sheets is wonderful! A nice smooth run, and a delight seeing the custom railway station signs for each building. Beautiful!
  3. Cousin Gray and his wife Yuka are thoroughly enjoying their Victorian home! Yuka thought it might be a good idea for Gray to shave off his beard, and let the sun get to his skin. As an obliging husband, he did so.... He's taken the Victorian theme so seriously I'm thinking he has a portrait in the attic that's ageing.... he looks so young!!!
  4. There is a second 2048 parcel in addition to the ranch parcel in the LH demo hub with ‘coming soon’ or some such notice.
  5. I always take the person as the avatar I see. I have no desire to know anything about their RL and certainly have no wish to bore them with details about my RL I've had some excellent friendships over the years, and to this day, couldn't tell you whether some of them were the opposite sex in RL to their avatar, and it honestly never bothered me if they were.
  6. Gray and Yuka enjoying breakfast in their home courtesy of Mrs Larkham, their housekeeper. Hmmm.. I think I'm going to have to drop by early one day to partake in that rather magnificent looking 'Full English'
  7. Having bought a premium account for his wife in order that she may have a Sakura themed Linden Home, my cousin (alt) Gray's wife, Yuka, surprised him by changing to a Victorian themed home, which is his and my favourite theme. He is seen here embracing the Victorian lifestyle....
  8. Most boat makers build in the effects of waves and chop into the ride of the boat itself, and adding water spray too really does give the impression of the things you are after for realism in sailing.
  9. Hi Mouse! If you enjoy the land I do hope you are able to work out the budget, fingers crossed! As has already been mentioned, tier charges are retrospective, so you are charged as per the rate for the tier band your maximum holding within the billing period falls for land you owned, AND sqm you donated to a group. Regardless of whether the group owns land, as far as billing is concerned, your having donated to the group is as good as owning the land. So if you have a land group, make sure you set your donation to 0 once the land has gone. People are often confused by the payment dates. Your premium billing date is set by the date on which you change your account from basic to premium. Your tier billing date is set by the date on which your land holding first increases into ‘tier territory’, which is when your land holding exceeds the 1024/2048 sqm allowance that comes with premium is exceeded. This date is the same every month, and allows for accurate budgeting (I have three prem a/cs that all pay tier, and their dates are always the same, 10th, 13th, & 20th). Here’s a thing to remember… that date, once set will always remain the same. You can check what it is for your account by going to your account summary page, and looking at the bottom line in the land holdings section titled ‘Next bill date’. If you’ve not held any extra land from the previous month’s date, to the next one, the amount will show 0.00, but the date will be constant. So… always consider the due date when buying land that will increase your tier There’s nothing so irksome as finding out that if you’d waited another couple of days, you’d not have had to pay tier until the following month!
  10. I know exactly what you mean *waves from next door*
  11. I would love to see the current Victorian themed buildings additionally made available on 2048 sqm parcels. As Sid says, the extra LI would allow for more interior decor, and also the space for more ornamental style gardens of which the Victorians were so fond. THAT would encourage me to upgrade to Premium Plus in a heartbeat! (Well, one of my alts anyway, as my houseboat location is a keeper).
  12. If you own the land and can make the room a parcel of its own within the larger parcel, you can then check the tick box on the sound tab in the about land window to restrict the sounds as you’re wanting.
  13. Abandoned land is kept in hand by LL for seven days in the eventuality that the owner abandoned it by mistake/changed their mind.
  14. The Loonetta is an excellent boat, and will seat many more than just one person. I’ve had six on mine and according to the notecard that comes with it, should sit as many people as there are sit points.
  15. Nooo!! There are SO many books to be read! 61 and been here since 2006
  16. I would love an existing style Victorian on a 2048 parcel. The extra prim allowance and greater area would really allow me to experiment more with landscaping.
  17. I have a similar situation where sometimes upon teleporting to the ground level of my parcel from my sky platform, my house won’t be visible, but all the furniture inside appears to be. I usually teleport back up to the platform and immediately teleport back down and the house is once again there. I’ve yet to determine if there’s any factor that contributes to the phenomena.
  18. On an occasion when I applied to purchase some land which had just been abandoned, it was pointed out to me that the wait for seven days was actually a grace period for the person that abandoned the land, in case they changed their mind and wanted it back.
  19. I had the same issue with Radegast yesterday as I am currently using a lower spec pc than I usually do. As it was a fairly old version of Radegast I uninstalled it and downloaded the latest one and was then able to connect with no problem.
  20. Took a ride out to my local boat pier rez zone at Maiden Rock and was very pleased to see some picnic facilities and places to sit and gaze out to sea. I thought the rock covering over a part of the path to the facilities was especially pleasing..
