I've taken both long and short breaks from the forums in the past. My shortest has been a few days and my longest has been four years if I'm remembering right. My last long break was this last year for about six months when I moved countries. I found I had no desire to really be on the forums even when my computer got set up so I didn't. Breaks can be a good thing.

I have absolutely always loved those dolls and just recently purchased a few off the marketplace to proudly display in my home. OP: Gacha machines lost their appeal long ago for me because I flat out refuse to dump money into something with no guarantee of getting what I actually want from it. The new way they are doing it also holds no appeal. I often will simply go and see what they are offering taking note of what I want from it for future reference when I look it up on the marketplace. So much simpler and I actually get the item I was wanting.

The best way is to not tell them. I would never wish to hurt another. That kind of thing I imagine can cause just that. A lot of unnecessary hurt. Although it might seem a small criticism to you, it doesn't mean the person on the receiving will take it as such.

I don't ever initiate conversations with people. So no, I don't have that problem. I'm a very shy, bashful and anxious person even in sl. It's not in my nature to start a conversation with people I don't know. My close family and friends are different. A few years ago I got it into my head I wanted to step out of my shell and meet new friends. That period in my life didn't last long, but I started a few conversations at that time. I've never gone by looks, but by profile. Perfection doesn't exist so how can I be intimidated by something that is pure myth?

Yes, I've had a few experiences over the years with unwanted advice in this regard. I've been out shopping and have had people message me to let me know that my avi was ugly. Fair enough. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I used to dress up and go to Frank's when I was single. I went for the atmosphere. I wouldn't dance, but stand or sit to the side and just enjoy the music. I had a woman whose avi had rather large proportions message me during one of the times I was sitting to let me know that my avi was unrealistically skinny and short. She rudely sat down on the same chair I was seated on. I stood up and didn't respond. She sent the message again calling me anorexic this time. I finally just typed in response that I would be sure to fix that because someone who didn't know how to properly proportion their own shape told me so. I felt so bad for saying that and would never normally point this out to anyone. Another experience is when I was trying to find a sim to roleplay on. This random guy messaged me to let me know that he would never date a petite woman because he basically saw us as children. That response got a "That really sounds like a you problem I didn't need to know about." This one irked me because I'm really petite in rl too and have actually gotten this from men throughout my life. It's gross their mind goes that route. 😕

Don't let one place giving you the kick deter you from finding other places that will most likely be far more pleasant to take part in. I agree that the Destination Guide needs to be more careful in what places are listed because it can cause a lot of frustration to those new to Second Life. It would be more than frustrating while attempting to learn how to navigate SL being booted from places where the 30 day old rule, etc. wasn't clearly stated. Not very new comer friendly in the slightest. 😕

Currently hubby and I live in Bellisseria and have done since its beginning. We have found everything we could want or need in the Belli community so we will be staying there. It's home. Combined we have a log home, boathouse and my main account has a fantasy home. In the past I lived on my sister's residential sim on the ground and sky both. When I had my own land I also did both depending on if the neighboring land was an eyesore or not.

I'm really shy and get anxious so I prefer IMs. I will rarely speak in local chat anywhere. I will never use voice since I'm deaf and it's a complete waste of time for the other person and myself.

Clothes, hair, furniture, avatar and house accessories, landscaping kits, etc...anything like that I pay for. If I really want it, I will save up and happily pay for it. I really wouldn't have a need for anything else that my husband or I can't do for ourselves. Sometimes that takes watching lots of you tube how to videos, but we get there.
