Vodoo Security is identical to Redzone. There is no difference! Help me bring this to LL's attention. Redzone was banned long ago. How is Voodoo security still able to operate? If you use Voodoo security you are banning people who happened to get banned from Voodoo. This includes legitimate players and potential customers/traffic that you will lose out on. They are not always griefers. It is surprisingly easy to be perma banned by voodoo. They accuse legitimate players of cheating and if you make a complaint to them they retaliate with a permanent ban. This will include any avatar who shared an IP with you in the past. If you have friends who have played at your address they will be banned as well. They DO log IP addresses. They have years and years worth of IP logs and will ban any avatar who shares an IP with a banned user, which is unfair because IPs change all the time and are shared often. They will perma ban for any reason and they are allowed to do this. Protest voodoo security if you believe in a fair SL! You are better off banning people from your parcels personally instead of using their system. I have lost access to many sims which I gave regular traffic to and spent money at. Every avatar I had, even friends, and one family member who had played at my address in the past are perma banned. I never broke the rules and only played with one avatar at a time but since I made one complaint I was perma banned. If you believe in reason, you shouldn't support an unprofessional business who make decisions based on pettiness! What's funny is, their own sim doesn't even use the security system. Isn't that saying something in itself? Avoid voodoo altogether if you don't want to be me and lose a lot of money in valuable avatars who are now useless.
Voodoo Sploders banning you from entering venues Has anyone else experienced problems with the above? I recently found myself banned from a location with no explanation given! After much searching and contacting the owners of the venue, it turned out I was on the banned list of Voodoo (which apparently the software that runs sploders) Although I find this really hard to believe as in over 12 years I have never even touched one of their sploders and didn't really even know they existed Their own website states "You may have been banned in error as it happens a lot" Long story short I contacted Voodoo support and unbanned myself with their supplied code, end of story you think? not so, I was still banned from at least 2 venues I opened a support ticket with Voodoo (as I was now being bombarded with messages from the Voodoo software, informing me that I was banned) and asked them (nicely) to get it sorted However, as I had used the term "crap software" on the support ticket, they claimed I was clearly a "griefer" and not only would the ban stand, but I have now been banned and blocked from their in world location, their website and the two people I spoke to in world have me blocked! So I now have no way to contact them or challenge their decision! Add to that the growing number of venues that I can now not get in to, all because they blocked me in error (probably a long time ago) I really don't care if they block me from their sploders, because as I say I have never even used one, but to block me from venues I use? how is this ever fair? and why do Linden Labs allow them to behave in this way?

More info can be found at: http://lafourchecrossing-rp.com/ Landing Zone Sim Story: Lafourche Crossing is a small town in Lafourche Parish Louisiana, USA. After a time of hardship, troubles, and woe, the town was finally struck low by natural disasters and lost it's incorporated status, leaving only a few residents and the witch of the swamps, Catherine Laveau, behind to pick up the pieces. Rumors have it that over the years since losing its incorporated status, Catherine performed rituals, and setup charms across the town and the swamps as a whole to push away those misfortunes that had befallen its residents. After a time the waters began to recede, and people to move back once more into the small town. Now the town prospers, and under the hidden care of the witch of the swamps, continues to grow back towards its former glory. Magic flows from more than the witch of the swamps, but from the minds and spirits of trained practitioners as well. All the while, under the cover of a hurricane, a coven of Vampires moves in to claim a corner of this town for themselves.
