  1. I have the worst time wearing appropriate outfits for what I'm doing. Flannel on the sailboat. Riiiiiight, Ajay...
  2. Not so much today, but posting because a) I liked this shirt (still do ) and b) the feline pictured here is the newly-hatched version of the ginormous cat in my last picture. Day 0 vs. Day 7 makes a big difference sometimes!
  3. Thank you! The cardigan is from Aphorism the cat is, sadly, a pet and not furniture 🤣
  4. In my CatHouse, contemplating my life choices. Also, grateful SL cats don't require litter boxes...
  5. Just sitting at my fire pit, roasting marshmallows with my horse. As one does.
  6. Since I made the move to a mesh head (Genus Classic), my Doux hair has had a similar problem, and I've yet to find a solution even with switching up sizes. Ultimately, I've just gone to other brands that are more Genus-friendly. I miss my cute Doux styles, but I've found others I love that I wear instead.
  7. Hanging at the beach, pre-dawn, in the winter. All things considered, the suede boots may not have been the best choice...
  8. We have two different places and two entirely different experiences with neighbors. At our Zindra property, none of us speak. In fact, I think most of the surrounding parcels are businesses or anchor sky boxes, so there's just not much interaction. At our beach house, on the other hand -- located on an island region in Nautilus -- we're all ridiculously social. We have an ongoing meme war with our backyard neighbor, and several of us have been known to turn into giant water monsters to terrorize the marina on occasion It's very specific to location and general expectations of the residents, I've found.
  9. My new fixation? Roller skating. I have a roller derby AO and I'm having boatloads of fun with it
  10. Oh nice -- thank you so much! He's got a Gianni body, so that will work very well. I'm glad you mentioned the body type -- I failed to in my OP. Again, much appreciated!
  11. Hey y'all I've searched Marketplace to no avail in an attempt to find men's jeans (for my husband) that are boot-friendly. I found some at Redgrave, but they're really only compatible with their specific boots. Do you know of any men's mesh jeans with tapered-down ankles that will fit into other men's boots, if not universally, at least a bit more? We've tried Omega layer jeans, but the one's we've found weren't really great, texture-wise... and on his avatar, the "jeggings" look just isn't cutting it. Thank you for any help you're able to give!
  12. I have reached the point where I am utterly, without a doubt, over Christmas Bring on the festive neutrals!
  13. And now for something completely different -- our Christmas photo, and my husband in all his meshed-out glory. We have success!!!
  14. I'm currently bonding with two of my Very Silly Prim Cats. They're mother and daughter (how is this a thing? and how did I get started even caring???), Grace is on the left, and Emma is on the right. I got the Lilac Tortie Tonkinese cats because they remind me of my late Emily, who passed at age 8 back in 2014 from a rather aggressive lymphoma. I wasn't ready to let her go yet... and now little Emma has her fur, and her eyes I'm a dork I'm also wearing an utterly impractical sweatsuit, with an entirely open back. I just... yeah. It's cute, I'm baffled, life is good
  15. I'm more of a lurker-ish poster. I'm newer here, and haven't yet really engaged much on the "heavier" threads. I think I'm still kind of finding my footing. I can be opinionated and outspoken, I just tend to temper it. A lot. Like, to the point of staring at the sky rather than speaking. TL;DR: people are scary, so I just post cute shots of my avatar and nod at what everyone else is saying.
  16. I won this dress by Kalani's Designs (KalaniSansome) at the RFL OOAK Silent Auction this past Sunday. I am ridiculously fond of it
  17. Okay, we found the difference. FINALLY. And I want to beat my head on the keyboard for thinking this was a bigger deal than it was (and bugging you guys with it). He'd used the applier for the skin (definitely from the A&E physical store), but after he put it on... he clicked one of the skintones in his Signature HUD, and apparently that overwrote it. Sigh. Regardless, problem solved. Also, the neck sheath in the Signature HUD fixed it the rest of the way. I had to Google quite a bit to learn that the button just labeled "sheath" was actually the neck sheath/ fix on the HUD. So anyway, yeah. I'll just paste "MESH NOOB" to my forehead and wander back to my corner, LOL Thank you all for your time. I know it was really a basic error, but your assistance gave me ideas on what to Google and where on the HUDs to search; ultimately that, and clicking around insanely, got us there.
  18. Here's the gorgeous dress Catrie got me -- thank you so much! It also comes with a translucent setting, but y'all aren't getting that shot
  19. I tried to see if there was something else messing it up, but I'm a bit at a loss on the Catwa heads HUD. I have Genus, so I'm unsure what I'm doing with Catwa even with having read Skell's tutorials. I'll stare at it some more. That's how it seems to me, also.
  20. Oh I know it will always be there; I was just attempting to minimize it a bit more. He's got the neck fix on, but regardless of the Windlight setting used, the line of demarcation between head and neck is still far more obvious than my neck seam (which is Genus to Maitreya Lara). I did explain to him that the best we can do is minimize the appearance on our own monitors, and not worry about the fact that what others see may be way different
  21. Hey all I've been helping my husband get his Catwa head a shape he'd like and we've succeeded. Yay! The only problem I'm finding is in minimizing the neck seam appearance. He has matching head/ body appliers from Adam &Eve, and we've tweaked the snot out of Windlight settings to no avail. Is there something else we're not thinking of? I'm attaching his picture for reference.
  22. We decorated. I kind of love this picture because there's also a photo of our old-school 2007/2008 avatars in the background
  23. II'd love to participate, but I have no sort of wishlist I mean, I know what one is, I can work out how to do one on Marketplace (I vaguely remember seeing the "add to wishlist option -- or maybe I'm thinking about Amazon?)... but I have no clue what I'd want. It's a good problem to have, don't get me wrong, but for occasions like this it's not at all helpful
  24. I just took my RL initials (A.J.) and mashed them up into "Ajay". I figured I get called A.J. at work enough that it wouldn't be jarring, so I just went with it. It wasn't until I'd been inworld for a while that I learned Ajay is a man's name in India. I end up having some explaining to do when I meet folks from the Subcontinent.
