A relative bought a T-shirt that said "I like the pope...the pope smokes dope" (think just because Eminem wore it...) My family's Catholic and his mum took it off him and threw it in the bin! Stoner humour is a bit naff It's just like "I'm on a seafood diet...I see food and eat it" but with weed...but sometimes it's alright 🙂

I don't live anywhere on SL now, but I used to love skyboxes...had a nice one with a crashed plane sticking out of one of the sides that a friend helped me make 🙂 There's something nice about being off the ground.

I think any major city is also at risk 😕 Part of me's also wondering if we're going to soon get a repeat of all the hoarding and panic buying during the first months of Covid.

OK...well, was just my opinion.

I wasn't having a pop at you or anyone else on the thread. That's what I mean...if she feels it's morally wrong, then she shouldn't do it. But she won't get in any trouble. I don't think any of the copyright holders really care about SL when their goods are being pirated all around the world IRL. And everyone does it, even the Moles! And it doesn't sound like she's doing this for money. Just a bit of harmless shenanigans 🙂

There are logos all over SL...just type a band name and 'T-shirt' on Marketplace, or see Metallica or Kiss play 'live' in SL 🙂 I wouldn't worry about it!

@Marigold Devin Have you ever seen Threads, an '80s film about a nuclear attack on Sheffield? I haven't, but have been warned it's really grim 😕 I get freaked out enough by skydiving videos, lol.

Will check that out... I think the most scary film I've EVER seen is 'Come and See', a Russian film about WW2...it's on YT but is really disturbing, I actually felt awful for hours after I watched it a few years ago, and didn't sleep well - just a warning! Made 'Requiem For A Dream' seem upbeat 😕

I agree! I think LL means well but these things come across a bit like "Look at these fun communities, living out their imaginations! Over here they're doing a horse auction, over here they're doing a poetry slam...over here there's a furry punk fundraiser. Oh...and over here...we have black people...so let's go all serious...what are they into? soul?"

We do get some sunshine, you know! 🌞 But only for about four weeks Just walk to where you need to go and pay yourself £25 🙂 I am a bit jealous about Japan, would love to live there...sometimes 😍

That shows how long ago it was! 😮 Oops, I mixed those dates up then. I must have been to two separate Dutch events on SL 😎 I was going to do a 🤢 emoji but didn't want to create a diplomatic incident! Me too, though I've never had it 🙂

These are all facts I learned from SL... Americans are the most generous nation on SL for tips and giving you items 😍 but they think chips are crisps and can't believe Brits have to pay for a TV licence... The Dutch really love pickled fish! They all go out to celebrate the new barrels of herring every Queen's Day 👑 All the Irish people you meet on SL are actually American * 😀 Los Angeles has a tube system but hardly anyone uses it because they all have cars! "Bless your heart!" means "What a plonker" in the Deep South 😮 But "honey chile" means they like you 🙂 (* I'm joking! But it is quite a lot...)
