  1. We drove around that island land mass this evening in our paddle steamer. It doesn't show on the world map yet, but its all there, with even some houseboats and traditional houses in place for a few of the regions. I think we counted a total of 5 regions across and 8 regions down for a total of 40 new regions in that area.
  2. I haven't come across that but I agree, that would be over reading and require an AR filing when its interfering with the navigation of any type of motor craft. Though the windmill is unusual and if I spotted a traditional Dutch style, that wasn't over the height limit, that would be interesting to see.
  3. Ah I hope people will take a sense of humor in some of this. I have seen some strange oddities out and about Bellisseria, but nothing that I would fire off an AR about. I'll have to pause long enough to snap some photos next time I'm roaming about. I've seen more humorous notions that residents have put out, little Easter eggs that makes one laugh or grin.
  4. I don't mind being 5 minutes ahead on the movie of others. *Spoiler alert!*
  5. Not a single one of us thought anything bad about you, Beth. I swear! πŸ˜‚
  6. I love the city walk idea with little faux shops and I want to see a Drive-in-movie theater with parked cars that have good animations for singles and couples that plays REAL movies, classics, like Rocky Horror Picture show, Jaws and things to that nature. 🍿πŸŽ₯πŸš—
  7. To assume so much about Beth, when you've only posted 3 times, is totally of out touch on who she is or how much she cares about the Bellisseria community and the people who've come to enjoy what Linden Labs has created not for just premium members, but all Second Life residents to explore and enjoy. We all understand well and sympathize with others that are struggling and frustrated in their repeated attempts to acquire a new Linden home and we all want to see each premium member get their homes and enjoy them like the rest who have been fortunate enough to have one now. But berating how LL handles the delivery of these homes and how Patch Linden and his team of other Lindens and the Moles work, is often off the mark; not directing this at you. Many don't seem to want to consider that a lot of the disenchantment rests on our own shoulders, if we came into the premium membership after the new Linden homes were announced and released in the first 2 large batches. Buyer beware*. (*read above to my former post) And for long standing premium members, its also their responsibility to keep up to date on news Linden Labs puts out for them. Yes, we get it, we wish there was a faster way to get more homes out to those who are wanting them, and they are doing their finest and best to get a difficult and demanding job done. Now, if you are berating Beth, because you are familiar with her posts on the forum, then which alt are you and why are you trolling on a new account? She has every right to be giving her thoughts on the public forums, as each of us does. She is also a vigilant defender of Patch and his Moles, and I don't blame her in that. She doesn't need my help defending herself, she has true grit and is very capable of speaking for herself. I'm directing this post to you, because we don't need another thread locked down by attacks. So let's be considerate and not accusing and attacking unjustly. I'll end with wishing that you too, will soon have your own new Linden home.
  8. I think I saw that house on one of my bike rides around Bellisseria. And nah, for holidays, I'm tossing out a few 1 LI items. I'm stingy. As for Halloween paneling, Cian is working on a scary pumpkin graffiti to put up on one wall.
  9. If you do a nice pretty natural siding for the Continental, with pumpkin faces on it, send my way. I can put it on the blues cafe for Halloween! 😱
  10. If you notice this happening..........run.
  11. If we meet up in line, this will be me, Beef. 😁
  12. Boy, you lay down for a few hours and *beep* hits the fan. Too many posts over the last 2 pages to respond to. So I'll address a couple and be on my way. Yes, there is a lottery system and a first come first, first served method in place. Its called first in line at the window, clicking to get a Linden home, hits the jackpot, gets the home. Again, it is the most unbiased and fair method, if not fully practical. I'm going to state this again, because I feel this is most important for those heating up their keyboards, feeling there is a better way to get things done, or that how LL is implementing the building and releases is not to some people's satisfaction. A person should always look into the committed, continuing purchase, you know, buyer beware: the axiom or principle in commerce that the buyer alone is responsible for assessing the quality of a purchase before buying. If you signed up for a premium account, like I did, after you learned about the new Linden homes for 2019, that responsibility to ensure what was available, what might be entailed for you getting one of these 'in demand' homes, falls squarely on each new premium members shoulders. Not Linden Labs. That means it is the responsibility for each of us to look up the information, review the latest news, then assess the questions. "Do I want to invest my money into a product that is high in demand but low in availability?" "If I make this revolving monthly purchase for premium membership, knowing that my main reasons is to acquire a new Linden home, yet the product is in high demand and my odds are going to be rough at getting one, am I willing to go the extra lengths for this?" If you answered yes to the questions above, if you did your homework, need I say more? If you did not, shame on you. If you were already a premium member, its your own responsibility to monitor the new information that Linden Lab puts out there for premium members. Lastly, the posts regarding how the moles build these regions just baffled me. Oh yeah, I've seen these so called regions: take a blank region and terraform, landscape and theme a region in a matter of hours. Any region that is done in that short amount of time is not quality, but a flawed rush of sloppy workmanship. I design and build on regions, and even with a good team it can take a few days to get an area completed, looking top notch and well constructed, even then you are going back again and again to ensure you didn't miss something and fixing the things you missed the first, second or third inspection. Doing an entire region, takes even more time for top quality work. Now take into account that Patch and his moles are doing an entire continent, must match up and align road ways, water ways and place homes in a precise puzzle of precision and then there is the complexity of giving each region its own distinct artistic landscaping, is no mocking matter and should be respected for the difficult task and fine craftsmanship that this team is working on to give all premium members top quality homes in beautifully landscaped settings. The ambiance alone, is one of the highly favored and key sellers for many of us wanting these new Linden homes.
  13. Someone posted this in one of the group chats. @Abnor Mole out doing his region inspections....or....playing.
  14. Sounds like you where visited by an SL ghost that was messing with you. I hope you have better luck today! πŸ€—
  15. My husband, Cian, experienced that in a different way. A few weeks back, before he got a Traditional home, he was trying in vain for a houseboat. He was doing the page watching, refreshing the page and suddenly he got a ping, a hit on a new home! He quickly started hitting the buttons and check marks, but he made a small, grave error. The new Linden home did not pop up on the top of his page, but was the next selection down. So when he hit the accept and proudly tp'd off to claim his new Linden house, the surprise and perplexed expression on his face, sent me into a fit of laughter to see him staring at one of the old Linden homes. 😲 Yeah, he had to abandon it and try again. But it sure can give a wife a giggle-fit and smirk, as she reminds him again of the proper steps. πŸ˜‚ Hear ping, check the house listing first, then proceed....etc etc etc 🀭
  16. That fact checker, @RaeLeeH has given some great advice and I've learned a lot from her and a few others here on the forums. Enough to help me finally land my new Linden home. Gotta love peeps like her. πŸ˜‰πŸ₯° And you're welcome. Keep popping onto the forums, put in your 2 cents and say hello. Especially when you get your own new Linden home. We ❀️ hearing those details here. πŸ₯³
  17. I never posted on the forums until I started looking for a new Linden home, and I've been in SL since 2006. There is nothing wrong with asking the questions or making suggestions and giving a humble opinion. Its even a good thing, and how we share ideas and knowledge we've attained from talking with others. Keep on, keeping on, Beef. πŸ˜‰
  18. I know its so easy to say that in the moment of feeling frustration. But having been the child in class who's name was at the end of the alphabet and always having to be last...I didn't like it much. Even knowing when it was to be my turn, I sure did prefer the times, when they would randomly mix it up and I didn't have to always be last.
  19. If only it was that simple, we wouldn't have the long wait to get premium members into these new Linden homes. I suggest looking some forum posts from @Abnor Mole and @Quartz Mole to see just how complex and detailed it is to develop, set up, and ready each region before its ready for release.
  20. It may sound polite and reasonable, until you find yourself at the end of the waiting list. The way LL is currently delivering the homes is the most unbiased and fair method, if not fully practical. Patch Linden and his team of other Lindens and Moles are diligently working hard to deliver premium members a much craved after commodity.
  21. On this topic. When the new Linden homes were released, I didn't hear about it. Nor was I a premium member. Yeah, like many others I missed out on the 2 big releases. BUT when I did discover the new Linden homes and looked up information about them, I watched some promo videos and read some adverts, I knew I wanted one. So I signed up for a premium account. I knew they were sold out. I knew I would have to wait my turn. I knew I was guaranteed a Linden Lab home, and I also knew this was not exclusively the new Linden Lab traditional homes or houseboats. I knew what I was getting myself into. A person should always look into the committed, continuing purchase, you know, buyer beware: the axiom or principle in commerce that the buyer alone is responsible for assessing the quality of a purchase before buying. I find it ironic that people are trying to twist the meaning of an advertisement's wording. C'mon here, this is what advertising is all about. To entice and interest the buyer. So it said, "Upgrade to Premium. Your new Linden home is waiting for you." I've also been told for years on end, I'm soon to be Publisher's Clearing House next big winner! I didn't buy into that either. LL did advertise the new homes, yes. No where does it state any premium member is guaranteed these new Linden homes when they sign up. Only that your new home is waiting for you. Is that false advertising? Not really. It would be a new home to you. Its clever wording. It entices us to consider and buy. And many of us have. In 2010 they also advertised your new Linden home today! We all understand the frustration of wanting one of the new Linden homes. And yeah, no one likes feeling like they are always last in line. Many of us who weren't aware of the 2 large releases had to wait our turn to be the next one to land a house. Some of us waited weeks on end, with never a sighting of these new mysterious homes on the selection page. And some of us had enough foresight to ask for suggestions on how to better our chances. Politeness goes a very long way in attaining positive feed back and encouragement. Swallowing the bitter pill of a 'have-not', then spewing out the anger in all directions, will only isolate you from the population and leave you feeling more left out, resentful and bitter. Better to be a part of the community and share the positive comradery . Invest that quarter into some patience, a sense of humor and self-humility. Every cloud has a silver lining and even a new Linden home in the end.
