Welp. That explains why most game marketing and the games themselves rarely appeal to me. That and all the violence, blood and gore.

Frist google "what is the average user age of IMVU" then google "what is the average user age of second life". About 20 years difference. That should tell you that IMVU caters to a much younger crowd than SL does.

Peeved that many people believe the space program(s) are useless and do not benefit us while conveniently overlooking all the everyday items we have now that came from space exploration that are used to improve our lives. Without space exploration we would not have artificial limbs, insulin pumps, water filtration, baby formula, home computers, etc. Or would people really prefer to do without? Indeed. You've pretty much nailed it except instead of roommates, it was family long before SL existed. People don't realize/understand that sticks with you for life and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

Thier models are only accurate up to 72 hours. After that there are only projections because they know they can't accurately predict beyond 72 hours. Not even the 72 hours is always accurate due to unstable atmospheric conditions.

I'm not questioning you or your wording. Your post did make me think, is it really a privilege for those who have no other means of socializing? How many virtual worlds out there allow you to "play" for free? Is being able to socialize a luxury? Because if any of the answers to these questions is yes, especially that last one, then I might as well log off, toss my PCs into the trash, cancel my internet access and be without friend and companionship for the rest of my life. That is no way to have to live. If my world keeps shrinking pretty soon it will be just me. SL isn't a luxury or a privilege for me. It's essential to my mental wellbeing because of what little socializing I can manage. It makes me wonder just how many out there are in the same situation.

The one we currently have is crap to understate it (RL and SL). It needs to be scrapped but you'll never get European descendants to change.

First you should understand that not once have I mentioned anything about implementing anything in the viewer. I have never addressed that. Second, I realized yesterday that we are saying mostly the same thing with different wording. But you probably already realize that by now since it's obvious you haven't made it to my next post at the time of this typing. Peace? 🌿

The point is LL doesn't need to focus on the adult content because people already know it exists before they even register. Those that don't find out real fast. The needs of the grid outweigh your wants. Remember those 3 articles I posted about the pedos in SL in 2007? There is more than one reason LL must downplay the sex side of things in SL. Focusing on it will get SL shut down in many countries and that will kill SL.
