    When LL went to this thing of having to file a support ticket just so I could REGAIN access that I had already had for many years (I did have to ask how to get back in), I installed OpenSim. Dorothy isn't in Kansas or high school anymore.

    It's my bare minimum. LL recommends 8 GB. https://secondlife.com/system-requirements My old desktop has 32 (or 64, I forget) GB of RAM and SL did run better with more RAM. The 16 is sufficient but I do hope to add more someday before this pc is years out of date. lol

    Using Firestorm, I can run SL on mid high graphics without any issues and only occasional lag from very high ARC avatars. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz RAM: 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable) Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super (6GB GDDR6)

    New players would be very foolish to allow a complete stranger access to their computer which is precisely what remote assistance allows. TeamViewer is not something you will ever find on my pc. Helping newbies learn to mod their avatar is one of the reasons LL brought Mentors back.

    Not only that but it would seem there are those who are completely unfamiliar with SL's early history. SL as Second Life hit the internet less than 2 years after the grid was created.     Peeve: Not being able to watch videos made for SL/in SL/by SL because they never take into consideration those of us who have hearing loss, so they don't use Closed Captioning. I'm sure someone will find this post offensive and report it. 🙄
