    Thank you. Makes me glad I didn't respond so you had the chance to read the rest. I'd love to hit the library again even if our local caters mainly to children. Problem is the lack of transportation and the cost of riding the bus is absurd. No less than $5US, one way. Calling a cab or Uber or whatever is out of the question. Edit: I'm not even sure the bus goes that far as the route ends in my town. The Kindle I use was a gift but it's in his name as is the Amazon account. People must think I'm joking when I say I can't afford something and really have no clue what it's like to be poor, living on someone else's paycheck to paycheck because your health took a nosedive and you've only recently gotten treatment and begun recovery.

    I'm peeved, so, everyone except Scylla, Maddy, Dyna and Quartz can peeve off. The rest have already left. That peeves me even more. Congratulations. If I left someone out, I'm sorry. Don't feel bad though. It's just how ridiculous the whole thing has gotten.

    Might I suggest reading the Practical Magic book series that the movie Practical Magic is based on? True, it's fiction but much of it is based on historical fact and the author provides some valuable insight as to why men are, to put it bluntly, so afraid of women. If you have Kindle Unlimited the 3 sequels are "free to read". Which brings me to my next peeve. I've never had the opportunity to read Practical Magic and it's not "free to read".

    I'm sorry I offered information/advise that is actually usable/valuable in most countries. To my knowledge there has never been any harm in negotiating for better customer service and/or products with the opportunity to retain the customer. Thank you for reminding me it doesn't pay to be nice.

    Not necessarily. You do have to ask. All I had to do was explain my needs and limits after I told them I would have to find another bank if they couldn't accommodate my needs. They don't like losing customers even if they don't make any money off your account(s).

    They are allowed to. That's how I got my "senior" account and aren't charged monthly fees of any kind. Only fee is overdraft ($35US per) and I've managed to avoid that for many years now.
