You can't just now come in and manipulate SL's economy. Others have beautifully explained before why this would be disastrous. If you want to earn more in SL there are other options, like i have given an example of my case and like others have said. Rolling on the floor like a toddler that didn't get the toy from the store, isn't the way to get it.

I think you need to go outside and touch grass. You're demonstrating exactly what i am not doing and what I've said other creators should not do; depend on SL. I really don't mean to belittle you. In all honestly i'm slightly worried about you if that's how you really feel. I know SL may mean a lot to some people but there should be a line in the sand is what i'm saying.

You did call me that, on page 12. Funny thing is, i don't take it as an insult. I rarely feel insulted. This isn't a personal attack, but you're very naive and you demonstrate just like OP that you don't have a good grasp on economics.

Well, I, for one am rolling my eyes so far back in my head that i make direct eye contact with the goblin that operates me like a marionette at the illogical things you're saying here. - well, i mean, i see what it is you are doing but it's kinda delusional and does not compare to the real world. I'm going to be entitled and say; it boils down to what i said earlier. If you feel you don't earn enough here. Find additional income. The planes didn't do it for me, but the scripting for others does. My RL job does. I don't put my eggs in one basket. I'm sorry but if you don't (want) to understand that, then the education system failed you. Don't rely on others, stand on your own legs, figure it out.

Well, it's the Second of April here, so i'm taking you up on that. Screenshotted it and keeping it handy to wave in your face regularly.

I'm in that boat. So back in 2015 i started to create planes because i love aviation. That kinda dies off but i still sell them (well) and occasionally update them, obviously. But, not to brag, it turns out i'm fairly good at scripting. (Working for a Software company RL one would hope so.) So i "rent out" my skills in SL. The planes were nice and all. But now i script for other creators and I have Terms and Conditions, a contract one could say. I get a percentage of every sale they do with my scripting in it. This is how i end up at around the monthly income in SL I've mentioned previously. It's probably likely you have a thing or two in your inventory that has at lease some part of my scripting in it. Specially if it's naughty bits! 😲

Wow. why am I always late to the party? lol. What a long read this was. @Coffee Pancake I'm not sure if you blocked me or not (i suspect you do, lol) but i digress. I've seen the things you said here on this forum and this reaffirms my opinion of your overal ideas: It's so obvious you have no idea how economics works. Like, at all. I could sit here and pick apart what you said in your original post, but a fair bit of people (thankfully) have done that already in great detail. I'm proud of you all! You complain in your OP about the fact that "we're selling ourselves short". and that creators (I happen to be one of those) sell things way too cheap. Look, this goes out to all creators: Don't build your house on land you don't own. By that i mean, don't set up a business on a platform you don't control. LL has in it's ToS from day 1 of existing (i checked the wayback machine) that they can kick you out for no reason whatsoever and they don't have to tell you why they did. (Although, if they ever kicked me out, i would know why, let's be fair, lol.) So, i make around €700,- a month in SL, absolutely not enough to live on. I could make more if i put more time into it, but i won't. I got a big family and a fulltime job (that i love). SL to me is relax and creative time. I understand that there are creators here in SL that live off of it, but my advice is, don't put your eggs in one basket. Don't fully rely on SL as an income. Mainly for what is in ToS like i previously described, but also, what if LL goes bankrupt? You'll fall along with it. Don't put your eggs in one basket! And don't post ridiculous ideas like OP here. I genially thought it was an April Fools joke. It was disappointing to read when OP said she was serious. Not surprised, if i'm honest though...

I just got news from LL that they will finally fix my old standing jiras (7+ years) with the "accepted" label. Oh wait... April Fools!
