Thanks Clover, I got myself back, but had to restore the default head shape, as it had gone really weird. My hands have gone big (again) and I have a raised eyebrow............no time to mess now, so a challenge for tomorrow I think....... How very odd..................

I'm just a swirling cloud of mist at present........... tried two log-ons and I'm still swirling mist But I did visit the sand box to unpack some stuff, as a cloud.................... Still the same.........should I be worried?????.?

Keeping your look is a huge concern. Look at my mesh heads thread and you'll see that I had this same issue. But by demo-ing loads of heads I found the one. But then along came Genus and a bad influence by the name of Ceka and I found my golden ticket........

OK as promised, some forum "celebrities" yesterday having a laugh at the Hangout!! First three of us, and then even more turned up!!!!

A few of us met up at the hangout earlier for an impromptu photo session. It was arranged, like, five minutes beforehand!!! We had a lot of fun messing around for a while, and I was pleased to finally meet up with everyone who was there. Apparently we can do better with poseballs. That's one for the future! Photos will be posted but I had to leave soon after so no time tonight to sort one out!!?

I first logged on - on 3rd May 2018, so numerically/technically today is 4 months, but tomorrow is the anniversary........... still with me? I spent the first two weeks exploring and chatting around, and obviously shopping in the Marketplace. Then for nine days I was away from IT...............yeah it was tough. When I got back on line I ventured here for the first time, hungry for information!!!!☺️ The fact that I'm still here speaks volumes for 'the Cartel'. I can't name names because it would just look like a list of posters, but (and I've said this before!), I have been inundated with help ever since that first post. That led me first, to my Lara body, which was a huge leap forward (you should see my system Avi naked..........better not really)........and then with my thirst for more knowledge, first to my Simone head and more recently my Genus head, the looks of which speak for themselves........................... haha! Anyway, it doesn't hurt to thank everyone again for being so very welcoming and willing to share knowledge and friendship. This is unlike any forum I've been on before, and yes I am a forum queen in RL, but maybe not so much now I spend more time here..................... So for the newbies who might read this, don't hang back, make yourself known here and make the most of the huge pool of knowledge which sits behind the keyboards. Coming into this world, and this forum has made a huge difference to my Avi, and the way I think, both here and in RL..................................*Big hugs all round*..............

I understand that completely Aviva! I found the forums towards the end of May this year when I'd been on SL for less than three weeks. I needed help so just came in asking questions. I was made so welcome that I stayed. It may appear to be a strong social circle and maybe in some ways it is, but we're all individuals just trying to make the best of SL and having fun. You are very welcome here and don't be afraid of contributing or asking questions!!! If you want to chat I'll IM you when I'm in world next. I'm SL+8... ?

I don't see many (any?) introverts in this forum????? Wouldn't an introvert just watch and read??? And be too timid to contribute? Would an introvert be funny? Because some of you are hilarious, whether you mean to be or not. ? This is like group chat in-world without the visuals. All my friends, (and I don't have that many), are from chance encounters, where immediate chemistry provided the catalyst to continue. Going back to the quote about using matches to light a campfire (wherever that was!!)............I work on the basis that if I strike enough matches........i.e. kick off an IM chat, occasionally the fire will catch. OK, sometimes the match goes out. Big deal. Very occasionally the flames blow back and singe my eyebrows......... Is it worth it? Damn right it is........?

I met one this week. I'd seen him hanging around one of my favourite sims. We'd spoken and he seemed OK. This time after a chat he asked me to dance. I don't mind that as I love dancing anyway. The conversation drifted into relationships and sex, and looking back at the transcript, I think I was led on a bit........maybe I should have been more guarded. Anyway, after some quite explicit IM chat, he wants a full on relationship. I don't do that, and I always make it clear, but guys only hear what they want to hear........... Suddenly the tone changed, and he walked off saying "You have been reported to SL for terms of service agreement" That was quite unsettling, coming out of the blue, and is a warning to anyone embarking on any sort of relationship in SL, how easily some people can turn. I came back to the forum and consulted my Forum Mentor (she knows who she is *hugs*).......who set my mind at rest, but it was an unpleasant reminder of who lurks in SL.

I came in in May 2018 with no expectations or ambitions. I've never gamed before, and I'm not sure if I'm gaming here. I did, and still do the usual exploring, but because I'm a natural chatterbox, I didn't hesitate to open conversations anywhere. I was kept here in SL by discovering the marketplace in the early days. I also hung around sims I felt comfortable in, and they are all part of the newbie friendly list. I made some good friends early on which I still have. I go dancing when I can find time, at some lovely venues, and more recently I shop in store. Every sim provides the opportunity for new friends and often I will start a chat with someone by complimenting an item of clothing and this leads on to more chat and sometimes friendship. I have had a fairly simple lifestyle here so far, and just love the whole thing. More recently I found the Forum and the Cartel, and drop in at the breakfast club when I can. Timings are not always convenient!! I'm UK so SL time +8.

All I can add to this is to stick with it and see how it develops. The first few days are hard, but the newbie friendly sims are the place to try first. NCI Kuula was my home for a while when I started out here and I made good friends there.

Don't they say stick it in coffee beans to dry it out? Ok with a mobile phone but you'd need a fair few beans to immerse a keyboard.........
